Angela,

I totally understand your worry. You need to talk to your OB and see if they would consider putting you in the hospital, so your little one can be monitored. After losing one, I would think your OB would agree to give you the peace of mind of constant monitoring. I am keeping everything crossed for you and your little one....make sure you do bedrest, the less you are up the better it will be for your baby. Send you tons of cyber (((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) and prayers.

Angela- I am sure you must be so worried. I agree that maybe they would put you on hospital bed rest. You were worried about her growth but she grew 10oz in 2 weeks. When I went in yesterday the perinatal center gave me my new baby weight and she was 3lb1oz. My point is, my baby grew 20oz in 1 month. So that would be 10oz in 2 weeks right? So I am hoping that would be normal for your baby too. :) We all love you and are worried for you and with you too. Stay positive and you will hold your bundle of joy soon! XOXO

Gi-Congrats sweetie! I can't wait to see pictures. Thanks to your mam for posting for you. She's such a sweet lady.
Joan-Congrats on becoming a Grandmother! It will be the first for my mother too in a few more months. XOXO

klinger- thanks for reposting this for us.

Katie- WOW he slept a lot that night for you! What a great stretch!

Stephanie- I hate to agree with you because it makes me feel selfish but that's kind of exactly how I feel. I just wanted to have a relaxing pregnancy and enjoy these last few months. Now I wake up with nightmares about my mother and I feel so hopeless as to what to do. We want to go to DH family's house for Christmas but I am not sure if I will be able to leave her. :(

AFM- Perinatal center yesterday. Everything is going well so far. She weighs 3lb 1oz. The Dr says that with this growth rate he thinks she will be approx 7 1/2-8lbs at birth. I think I could handle that. :) It's right inbetween my weight and my husband's birth weight. I was 6 1/2 and he was 9.15. Nothing else too interesting. My mom is still being difficult. She's in PT/OT and has not been feeling well but didn't bother to tell the nurses because she "didn't want to bother them." There are just no good answers.
I hope you ladies all have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow. Ours was wonderful on Monday. DH has to fly tomorrow so we did it early. I do have to say that when it hit me that next year I would have a baby for the holidays I started to cry. It's all so overwhelming. I'm so happy for all of us and our miracles. Happy holidays. XOXO

Ronda – I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you not only read but posted a reply to me. I know and understand how hard it is to be on this site. I will definitely talk with them on Monday.

Gi – I know it might take some time for you to come back and read this but when you do … CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so very happy that Kayla is now safe and sound in your arms! I can’t wait to hear the details.

PA_FA – I am so glad that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving dinner with your DH on Monday. Thank you so much for the kind words, they brought tears to my eyes. Yes, you are right about the growth but I’m so worried because her growth was a lot faster than that earlier but my RE did warn me that this could happen because of my clotting disorder. He also said if it is too bad that they would take her early. So I just hope we can all come to an agreeable conclusion.

AFM – Well ladies, I am following directions and only went to work for a few hours and now I am at home and relaxing as directed. I noticed last night, while I was in bed, that I was just absolutely starving but of course I couldn’t get up and eat anything because of my severe acid reflux. I think that is one of my problems … I definitely eat but I become full so quickly and then I’m not hungry for hours. I can’t win for losing! I know they say frequent small meals but it doesn’t seem possible for me.

So I decided that on Monday at my next appointment, I will seriously talk to my OB about inducing me earlier than the 16th because it is obvious that she isn’t getting what she needs inside my womb. Two of my co-workers gave birth to their babies yesterday and I am the only one left (we were all due around the same time) and they are all just fine. Well, I am going to take a nap right now and I will check on you ladies soon! Oh Claudia, you are next!!!!

Angela- I am praying for you girl! Those u/s can be so off, but I know it's so scary to hear bad news. Take it easy just as the doctor said and I'll be praying for wisdom on whether she should be delivered earlier or not.

Katie- Ryan is a star to sleep so long!! That is the beauty of big babies...they sleep longer, faster. How is your recovery? I'm pretty mch all healed up which is nice. It sounds like you are doing great.

Steph- what the what???! What kind of parent does that??! Ugh, poor Alex. Especially with all the talk about bullying in the news, you would think parents would be more proactive in what their kids are doing. Is Angelina feeling any better?

Gi- CONGRATS!! so happy your little one is finally here!

Karen- AHHHH!!! fantastic, amazing news!!!! I am beyond thrilled for you!! What a perfect Thanksgiving present!!

Pa- oh my goodness, your mom!!! Sometimes you wonder. I hope she starts asking for help soon. What craziness. Glad you had a good early turke day!

Sara- sounds like your littles are doing awesome! Yea, the clogged duct thing was not fun for me either. Had to pump and nurse through it as well.

AFM- sorry I've been mia. That clogged duct was on the verge of mastitis and I felt totally crappy that night. Thankfully I caught it before it got bad and was able to nurse through it. All better now. I finally got hit with the hormones this week. Monday the girls both hit a growth spurt and started eating twice as much, twice as often! They were so fussy and needed formula 1/2 the time because my boobs couldn't keep up. I was so tired and ended up crying a lot of the day. Yesterday they returned to normal thank goodness. DH stayed up with them all night last night in the other room so I got a solid 7 hours of sleep. I feel much better now!

So here was my excitement today. Juliette needed and u/s on her hips to check for hip dysplasia since she was breech. I left the other three kids with my SIL who is here from KS and took her for her appt at the hospital 40 min away (attached to the one I delivered at). Checked in at 1:30, and just before 2:00 the tech let's me know she is too young, needs to be five weeks before they can do it. WHAT??! no one thought to check her age??! Ugh...very annoying. So now I have to reschedule. Whatever.

BUT... I am super thankful to have four healthy children and a wonderful husband, among many other things. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hi girls,

Jason brought me in his laptop so i am posting from my hospital bed!!!! Just when i thought i was all cried out with tears of joy i read my mams message!!!! She has me in tears...again. Girls i cant believe it little Kayla, well actually not so little all 9lb 6 ozs of pure gorgousness  What turned from been a routine ckup to the best day of our lives, my OB did an internal (ouch) exam and said she was too high up that induction would not be possible and that he had a slot at 2pm for section, he said we have been thro. enough and while there was no prob in waiting he didnt want to risk our little baby and wanted her out ASAP, he said all babies are precious but ours was even more so.....he had me in tears too!!!! Luckily i told jason to put our bags in the car "just in case". The section went perfectly smoothly and i was allowed out of bed today for 1st time, feeling ok just tad bit sore but nothing major though prob. still have some drugs inside me still. Girls she is absolutly gorgous and i am still in shock that we finally have her, i keep looking at her in her crib and have to pinch myself that she is mine. Jason Kayla and I are finally a family and i feel truly blessed.

chat soon,

gi xxx

Babyluv – I am glad that your clogged duct has subsided and you are feeling better! Oh yes, those post partum hormones can be wicked but they are certainly normal as long as you don’t set up camp with those feelings for too long. I am so proud of your DH because he knew just what you needed … some sleep!!!! I hope Juliette’s u/s turns out fine and I hope they can get the appointment correct next time so you will not have to go through so much for nothing! I agree with you … I would have been super annoyed with them!

Jamila – Thank you so much for the support and kind words. As long as I still feel her moving I am good for now. But, I certainly have a long conversation with my OB next week.

Gi – I am just so happy that everything turned out just fine and you have Kayla in your arms. Please take your time to heal and I can’t wait to continue to hear her progress in the next few weeks.

AFM – I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone takes the time to enjoy your families today. My sister is having dinner over her house so I will be going from her bed, to her couch, to the dining room table, then back to the couch ... it sounds like such a strenuous day right … lol. But, I am trying my best to follow my OB’s directions.

GI- oh honey your post has me sitting on my couch crying. I'm so happy for you. What a sweet thing for your Dr to say. I would have started crying too! I hope you feel better soon and we'll all be waiting here for those pictures.

Angela- Have a very restful Thanksgiving honey! I think the turkey put my baby to sleep when I ate it so maybe the thing in turkey that makes us tired works the same on a baby???? LOL Just a few more weeks sweetie. :)

Steph- I forgot to comment on the ignorant mom who is letting her child bully Alex. What an ASS!!!!!!!!!! I know we can't make all adults be good parents but it really does shock me sometimes. WOW. I'm sure you have said all of the right things to your daughter. I had a very wise old lady tell me one time that if a boy is picking on you it means he likes you. Of course this was on an airplane where the Captain was picking on me over the PA system. Funny enough...I married him. :D SO maybe this boy likes Alex but doesn't want to get teased by his peers and doesn't have good roll models to teach him how to channel his emotions? Just trying to put a positive spin on it. He's probably just an ass like his mom but it's good to have an alternative thought, right??? :D

AFM- Forgot to tell you all that at me last perinatal apt they also told me that she has finally turned (for now) and is no longer breech. Yea! However, when you ladies had your baby's head on your cervix did it hurt? It seems to hurt a lot when I get up from being seated. Also everytime I roll over in bed my hips pop. I feel like I'm 80. LOL
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! XOXO

Gi OMG! Kayla is here! CONGRATULATIONS MAM!!!! She snuck up on us all, especially you! Oh honey I'm so happy for you! You finally have your precious baby in your arms! well.. that is if you can pry her away from jason for a minute -haha. I'm sorry that you had to have an unexpected c section ( I know the feeling) but its all over now and you can just enjoy your precious beautiful daughter! trust me and take all the pain meds they offer you so you dont get any breakthrough pain, I was stubborn and paid the price for that. Rest recover and get to know that little bundle of joy! much love to you all - xoxo

Joan - CONGRATULATIONS GrandMam!! You must just be over the moon over your new Granddaughter! Thanks for posting Gi's news, you know we would have been worried if we didnt hear from her. Eeee, its so exciting, isnt it? And I know I'm a day early but...

Hi everyone - and I hope you all have a Image

I'm not sure how but I somehow got roped into cooking Thanksgiving dinner  which normally I dont mind, but this year its just the two of us and Ryan and I dont think he cares about turkey! Not at 3 wks old anyway.lol. So i've been trying to post for hours now and instead I seem to be like a ping pong ball between the kitchen the baby and the computer hmmm, Ryan seems to have a radar for when I want to post and gets all fussy as soon as I sit down
His cord fell off yesterday, I was thrilled so as soon as I can he'll have a real bath. Funny thing, though for as long as I've waitied for it to fall off? now he looks more grown up - eeek that cant be starting already can it? lol. I had an OB appt for an incision check yesterday and its healing really well, but is still really tender, well the whole lower abdomen is really tender, he said it will take awhile, but how long is that? Then the funny man said "I'll see you in 3 more wks and we'll talk about birth control" I was like ummm, whats to talk about? "My RE removed my tubes to give IVF a better shot and then it took 7 tries to conceive, so umm, no I dont think BC pills are needed, but thanks anyway" Yep, I made the man speechless. I guess they see so many patients that they dont get to read every chart before appts, but it made me laugh. Ryan has been sleeping a good portion of the night, so yippee for a few more hours of sleep, even if they dont come together, right? I'm happy that he is getting the hang of night is for sleeping and the daytime is for fun - whew, he was backwards for a bit there. Oh, yeah guess what I got? A big fat bill for the circumcision! $450 worth - isnt that fun? Well actually I'm expecting a really scary bill for the anesthesia. I've looked online at the ins co's website and as of now, they havent paid yet because they have it as 'incomplete" with a add on saying that its "not standard procedure to have have both epidurals and general anesthesia on the same day. Does the BS with the ins company EVER end? UGH. So I'm getting ready to have a problem with them soon - and considering that they billed 7400 dollars for all anesthesia - ummm the ins company had better pay it! Uh oh, baby crying finish soon - xoxoxo

Angela - I know that you're upset about Gabriella's measurements but listen to Sara, she had a similar situation with her pregnancy. I am surprised with your history that your OB wasnt more sympathetic to your emotions though, i mean after what you've went through before who could blame you for feeling anxious and upset? I do hope that when you see the OB on Monday that you're able to get some answers and have a clear understanding of what the OB is thinking is the next step. For now you just get on the couch / bed/ chair wherever you're most comfy and put your feet up and relax please. Does this mean that you're on official leave now? or just part time? Its hard to not worry, but they've had such a close eye on your pregnancy and they wont change that now.
Try to not stress til monday, ok? much love - xoxo

Steph - Good Lord woman, what is going on over there? med board him out? Why would they want to do that? I thought that they were sort of short handed lately? Its not like he's an O-2 and wasting all sorts of pay grades, I dont get it. I hope that its just a standard med protocol now that PTSD has been brought to light even outside of the service life. Its not like he can tell them that he doesnt want to be monitored, he has to like it or not - ugh. I swear the miltary makes no sense to me sometimes. And ummm, what is wrong with that boy's parents? that makes my blood boil to hear that his mom only cares if her kid actually hit your child! WTH is that about? Ah, theres nothing like hands OFF parenting, is there? Its like these "parents" and I use that term loosely are sitting back and letting mtv and video games raise some kids instead of getting off their asses and doing it themselves . grrrr! Good thing Alex is so together and bright, I sure hope that the boy's dumb comments didnt make her feel bad, I think she's got too high self esteem for that - thankfully! Ah, no you're bleeding already? It is about that time i guess, the books says your period will return between 4-6 if you're not breastfeeding, so the timings about right. UGH, I sure cant say that I'm looking forward to it myself, it wasnt missed at all, it was real nice to not have to deal with that for a whole 9 months, right? Aw, so Ethan & Angelina are loving the mobiles and lights? Ryan will watch you with his eyes, but doesnt seem to have noticed the mobiles on the swing
(his favorite!) or in the crib. he does spend a lot of time looking at these larger pictures we have in the living room though, they're landscapes of Naples and he loves looking at them while you're feeding him - I wonder how much they really see at 3 weeks? I'll keep everything crossed for your family and Andrew's appts hopefully dont mean anything other than what they're for. Did you get stuck cooking today? I'm just not into it this year, and cant imagine that you could cook with 2 little ones wanting all of your attention. Pizza would have been just fine by me this year - lol. xoxoxo

karen - Did you really get lab work done today? I hope that you get your results soon and not stuck waiting til tomorrow for them - xoxo

PA - Ah, you've sure had a rough week, I'm glad to hear that you had a great appt and that your baby is right on schedule and healthy. And yes, maam, you will have a little one this time next year (well sooner than that!) hope your DH will be on baby patrol so you can cook! Aw, thats so cute, was he really picking on you during a flight and then asked you out? I love to hear how couples met. I met Chris through a friend, so no funny story there  yes it did hurt when you feel a head poking you in the cervix, sorry but that will feel worse in the last month or 2, and i was walking like an old woman also - your ligaments are loosening up so be careful walking on uneven ground, or getting in/ out of the shower, anywhere that you feel unbalanced. its all worth it though. hey, did your DH manage to switch his schedule for your EDD? - xoxo

Babyluv - Oh, no! like you dont have enough to do with 4 kids as it is? You would have thought that they would have been a little more together when booking Juliette's appt - ugh how frustrating. And now your girls are into this snacking routine also? it seems to change every day, yesterday he wasnt too interested in food, while today its all about the bottle! Oh, well it IS thanksgiving - haha. How are your Alex & Scarlett doing? They must be loving turkey day!
the incision is good, but I'm still swollen like a pouch of fluid that goes above the incision all the way across. I wish now that I had thought to get an abdominal binder, the OB asked if I was using one and I told him that this was the first I've heard of it - sigh. are you getting any more sleep lately? - xoxo

Happy Thanksgiving everyone- xoxo
