Hi all,
I just had a single day 7 embryo transferred. It was good/fair quality. When will it implant (today)? and does anyone know if success rates are different with a day 7 versus a day 5?

How fascinating! I've never heard of a embryo going to seven days - had it hatched already? How many embryos did you start out with and did you get any frozen? I can't answer your question, but I will wish you all the very best in your upcoming 2ww!

I have often thought the same thing. I have two 7 day blasts in the "freezer". The way I think of it is, if it survived that long and grew into a blast, it is viable.
Best of luck to you, keep us posted.

Some clinics schedule the transfer on day 5, and transfer whatever is the best on that day. Some are blastocysts, some are not. Watch out for any claimed success rates for "Day 5 blastocyst transfer" at such a clinic, because they might be excluding those day 5 transfers that were not blastocysts.
Others transfer blastocysts when the blastocysts form, day or day 6, and once in awhile, day 7. Sounds like your clinic is one of these. Day 5 blasts are the best, day 6 are next, and day 7 are just not as good. Implantation rates with day 5 blasts can exceed 50%. With day 6 it might be near 30-40%. With day 7, it's more like 20%.
But some argue that slow embryos do better in frozen cycles.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
Another thing to concider is- was the embryo a blast at day 5 and frozen on day 6? I have 2 "day 7" blasts, but they became blasts on day 6. Depends on the clinic protocol.

Hi Amanda,
I just found your post and was wondering how you are doing. I just had my FET and transferred a 7 day on Thursday. Long story we had planned to transfer a Day 5 which didn't make it through the thaw so we had to transfer a Day 7 (all we had left). I was devastated and I can't seem to find much info on a Day 7 (results good or bad). I was wondering if you had any other info and if you had your beta yet. Thanks so much! Your thread was helpful!
Hi,
Just saw your post today. I unfortunately, did not get pregnant......again....sigh. We are doing our third and final IVF in January. How about you?
Baby dust to all,
Amanda
