Hello there - hope you dont mind me butting in - hope you are all doing welL!!!
Just to say I exercised right up to et. I think as long as you feel comfortable its fine - I found it really helped to take my mind off things. I think they just say that when your ovaries get enormous you just need to be a bit careful of twisting yourself about too much. Bike, cross trainer, swimming - all worked for me!
Good luck!

Hello girls

Dana - Wow what a lovely batch of eggs, well done!! Fingers crossed now for ET.

Debra - Have fun in Amsterdam. You must go to the Anne Frank House, it is a step back in time and quite interesting. Also try the Venus sex museum  It's a real eye opener. It's down the road on the right hand side if you are facing away from the Centraal Station. Made me laugh and snigger. There is a male prostitute called 'Swift Nick' and his house is the tall pink house joined on the left of the church on the left hand side facing away from the station. Have a look if you can see him. His curtains were closed when I was last in A'dam so missed seeing what he looks like. He is the only male prostitute and the female ones didn't want him in there area so he is up the other end and not in the Red Light District. Keep DH away from the Red Light Distict there are some right old dogs there!!! Woof, woof!

Loopy - hope the down regging is going well? You do get a bumper crop normally don't you? Twice as much as me. I think limited exercise is ok just nothing too strenuous.

I have to have more blood tests  It only seems like yesterday that I had my HIV, HepB and HepC and now I have to have it again. It's a yearly thing now  I said to my GP that I was worried about the IVF drugs and cancer scares and so I am having a blood test to see if my ovaries are OK. Don't ask me how or what they look for I just agreed to have it but I suspect it will be giving me something extra to worry about :?

Hi girls

I'm a late joiner to the JCB. It's my first cycle and first injection of menopur tonight - I am a bit nervous - but I think my DH is more so!

I have another scan on Tuesday - (the bank holiday is going to stuff things up a bit, as I should have one on Monday) and then maybe one on Wednesday depending how Tuesday goes. Unfortunately my clinic only does scans Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I'm on a short cycle apparently - I have no idea why - but if all goes well, could be EC the second week of June.

Bit apprehensive about the side effects of the injections, but pleased to be actually starting.

Hi JCBs, last post until Monday. I MUST start my packing soon, we leave at 0900 tomorrow.

Dagny, hmmm, thanks for the A'dam info...not sure it will be too much use. We've a heavy museum/gallery schedule planned plus a little shopping and some serious eating out to do, esp. Indonesian! We'll also hit the veggie places as there are none here. Good luck with the tests. We had to repeat our HIV/HEP tests too as our last full ivf tmt was more than 12m ago. I also hope the ovarian test comes up trumps.

Loopy. I started down-regging today so am only 1 day behind you  When/what do you start jabbing? Have you draft dates for EC - if all goes well? Congrats on the no smokes. Exercise can be a great help.

Dana (and Bro), good luck with ET tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you. Dana - great number of eggs, well done.

Shoegal (anything more personal we can call you??), good luck starting the injections.

Teresa, sorry I can't help with your Q. I'm on a different regime. I can only tell you that I started downregging today (Day 21) and my first injection is Day 34 (from my May AF). There should be a new AF end of next week. Not sure if that helps at all. Sorry.

I had my uterine wall scan today and was told all looks good. I forgot to ask about our HIV/HEP results but they would have said today if something was wrong. I did ask if DF could take any vits to help his end of the bargain but was told sperm take 3m to create from scratch so there's no point doing anything now. For us it's a tube problem, not sperm so it's not too important.

Fingers crossed for all of us,
love
Debra.

Hi girls. Thanks for all of your support and kind words. In less than 12 hours I am going to try to be a home for my little embies, and I am so excited. I just hope we all get what we want because this is such a long process.
Side note: no matter what happens, I think we should plan a huge reunion somewhere to celebrate our journey. We all deserve a vacation.

Morning all!!

Debra - Hope you got packed in time and you are probably on your way to Holland so HAVE FUN GIRLIE :P

Aly - Ooooohhhhhh how exciting. ET June 11th fantastic. I don't know why I have to have more blood tests I think they just do it to pi$$ me off  I am sure it wasn't a year ago but I am not going to argue I just want to get going.

Kel - The 'mad puppy' goes home tomorrow. She is soooooo naughty. She got hold of Katelyn's teddy bear which was on a pine chest in my lounge next to her photo last night and could I catch her?? Could I boll**ks, she knew she had something she really shouldn't and just pegged it away. I was beside myself and got really upset, arrrrrrrgggggg! I did get it off her eventually and there was no real damage just a bit slathery - yuk! I will miss her company during the day but wont miss her naughtiness.

Teresa - I have always started my treatment on day 1 of my AF. Good luck and we'll be there for you all the way.

Shoegal - Is that your name? Welcome to the JCB's and best of luck for your injections. The first one is always the hardest but from then on it is fine. Just take a deep breath and stab

Dana - How did ET go????

Loopy - Hope you're keeping off the fags? Keep it up.

Love Dagny xkx

Hi June Buddies...
How is everyone today??
The sun has been shining here today so I have been hacking down a triffid that has taken over the end of my garden... I guess that's a fairly productive day!! Dodgy blisters now though! (nice)
Went down to Bourn Hall yesterday where we are having ET (as rest of cycle is at my local hospital) which is lovely!! Feel much calmer now that we've seen where we need to go etc, and is such a beautiful place!! Is anyone else at Bourn or been before?
Aly - all sounding good!! Not long now!! You are ET on the 11th, all being well I am booked for ET on the 14th, so quite near you! :D
Dagny - Can't believe that little puppy has been causing so much mischief! Hope you are ok?
Dana & Bro - Keep up the RESTING!! :D Well done girls...
And hope all June buddies are ok too....

Hi all,

Do you mind if I join you since I'm not sure where else to go at the moment?!

After getting a -tive a few weeks ago, I'm now planning on doing a FET. I initially said I wasn't going to be ready to do it for quite awhile since I was so disappointed over the -tive but I've started to think there is really no point in waiting since it's all I can think about anyway. It's probably better just to take action than sitting around dwelling on it for months. My clinic said that if AF arrives after June 22, I can get started next month (due to their scheduling, they can't take me before that). My cycles are usually really long so I'm guessing that will work for me.

Anyway, I thought a frozen transfer wouldn't involve medication but it turns out I'll have to start downregging on Day 21 of my cycle for about 10 days then take estrogen pills for 7 days then projesterone in oil injections. Has anyone ever heard of taking all these meds for a frozen transfer? I was hoping to never have to look at another needle again! Oh well....

I'm trying to work on feeling positive about this. Hard to get myself to really believe the frosties might work since the fresh cycle didn't even though I have heard some positive stories about frozen transfers. I do feel much better physically now than I did at the time of the fresh transfer so, hopefully, that will count for something.
