Rio, with my son I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks 4 days and we could only see the sac. Don't worry. Everything is OK

Karin - Same for you, just relax ! Okay easier said than done, I know. Wait until tomorrow and keep bugging them. They will get you the results.

Thank you for all the encouragement! I looked online and a yolk sac can show up on US anywhere from 5.5 weeks to 6 weeks so I feel much better now about not seeing a yolk sac. Also, the gestational sac is supposed to grow 1mm a day and according to the article DandMe posted on US (you guys should check it out, good info) it should be over 12mm at 33 to 36dpo. So I would only need my sac to grow 5mm in 7 days which is even less than the 1 mm. Yes, I am completely overanalizing this so that I feel better! So I am trying to be happy that yes there is one sac and yes it is in my uterus! Hopefully next week we will see more! Thank you again for being wonderful support!

It is amazing what bad people can do these days with little info. It is a great way to keep in touch, I just think it still needs to be made safer. Congrats on your dad's surgery!

to have fun - I am sorry hun, paying out of pocket is the worse, we get zero coverage. I am gald to see you are trying DE and not giving up on your dream, I am praying for a huge BFP for you!!!!!

Franny - so glad to see you here. I am so glad to hear your DH is doing better, I am sorry for all the scare and heartache. I totally understand you wanting to take a break and I also agree that maybe donor embies might be a good match? I wish you and DH nothing but the best! Huge hugs.

Rypell- Dad had several murmurs and had some reconstruction to a few valves due to some tears/holes and had to have a pacemaker placed. We were thankful they could repair the tears/holes in the valves and not use the pig valves, but then his heart wouldnt fire so he had to have the pacemaker placed in. The hospital gave him a bear he had to squeeze when he had to cough and he named it with his middle finger LOL Anyways he's a year out and been doing great. I really wish your father and family the very best and will continue to keep him in our prayers! Good luck tomorrow!! STICK BABY STICK!!!

Chelle- glad you were able to get things settled at work! how awesome!! OHHHHHH I know all about ex's and baby mama drama! Im in that club too! LOL She can search me on Facebook all she wants but she cant read a thing! Im maxed on privacy settings and Ive blocked her name so she cant even see that I have an account LOL She says we are too old to be having children! As if its her business. My husband has a DD thats 17 with Autism. She is normal but doesnt understand the concept of time or money. Since my daughter died we dont talk about what we are doing on Facebook.

rio- YEAH!! Im glad you are right on target with your u/s. You are good girl!!! NO worries!!

afm- I kinda got my calendar today, my nurse called and went over things with me and I"ll pick it up tomorrow when I go in for bloodwork. I have to drive 1 hour and 1/2 to do all my dr office visits (at a satellite office) and then 3 1/2 hours to have my transfer at the actual clinic. Im having some bloodwork tomorrow and then a u/s on the 10th and if everything looks good then transfer on the 16th. Anyways I have pictures and our journey with Aimee on my Facebook if you want me to add you just pm me and I"ll give you info!

Sorry for the lack of personals right now. I went for my first US and he saw a sac, it measured about 7 mm, I am only 5w4d so he said it was too early to have seen much. He seemed to have had a rough night and was even having a hard time figuring out my dates (he looked exhausted) he even asked me if my transfer was 12/6 or 11/6!!!
Anyway, I asked him a couple of times if what he saw was normal and he said yes and that next week we should see a lot more. So I have another appointment in a week. He saw lots of cysts and fluids in my abdomen and guess what? My OHSS is back! Great huh? So I feel like I got no resolution, I feel deflated and scared out of my mind that there might not be a baby in there. My betas were even higher than with my son and I only have one sac so I am praying really hard this is a healthy baby in there and I indeed was too early getting the US. Sorry for being Debbie Downer today, I need to try and keep my PMA! I will do presonals in a bit.

All is going to be ok. Your beta numbers are great and you are right on schedule, honestly, for the stage you are at! By tonight or tomorrow the yolk sac will show up...and then the fetal pole and then the HB. It all happens really fast once things get going! So you are right on target my friend! You need not worry one bit!!!! Sorry the OHSS is back! UGH. That really blows. Are you feeling like it is back? Or do you feel pretty good?

Rio and Heather - my DHs ex takes the cake lol! She is crazy! He dated her for 6 weeks and she got pregnant. He never married her. I question if it is even his kid, but after 10 years, it is his kid whether or not he was the sperm doner, ya know? We have her 3 nights a week rotating with his work schedule. She would probably say I am too old for kids too. She is 29 and just had her 3rd, still not married.

Karen - Thank you so much, I feel much better you said your RE didn't even expect to see a yolk sac! What a relief! I am now up to 6lbs of fluid from OHSS coming back, no where near as bad as it was last week with 11lbs but I need to stay on it and keep drinking Gatorade. I think your secret Facebook is good, I have a lot of privacy concerns but if we could keep it super secret that would be a great way, can we post pics to a group without posting on our page or how does a super secret group work? Do we get super secret badges? so no one can see our posts in the group? Super cool!

My prayers are with you... i know that feeling of wanting a child so bad that it hurts not knowing if it will ever happen, but miracles can happen dont stop dreaming of what you want... We are always here for you to talk and vent there are so many great women on here to help us all get through this rough road... ( huge hugs)

This forum is the only place I have to talk to about my journey, My family and friends dont know what I am doing and it helps to jump on here and chat with all of you Let me know if you do get a group together... Me: Sigh. As I expected. DH was sweet and met me after work and took me to dinner which is why I am just now getting to post. Nurse was so sweet--I only cried for a minute. She said she'd talk with RE about trying to be more aggressive, but they are more worried about hyperstimulating me....I told her I was taking way more stims when I hyperstimmed, but she said based on my E2 level this last cycle she didn't think he would agree to change anything--but she will ask and let me know tomorrow. Sigh. I'm tempted to take matters into my own hands and set my own dose. We shall see what he says tomorrow. "Good news" is that AF should be here soon--I woke up to horrible cramps this morning so I really knew what to expect. Thank you ladies so much for all your support and PMA. I am sad, but ok. I was prepared from all my crazy POASing--wouldn't change a thing there. In fact, I need to order some more ICs for this next cycle as I will likely start stimming on Monday! Let's hope there aren't any stupid cysts to slow me down. I still am planning to be pregnant in 2010.

Rio- When I did my first IVF, I didn't know anything! We saw just two sacs at 5.5 weeks and I didn't think anything of it since the doctor said that was normal. The next week - we saw two perfect heartbeats. So don't get down!

Karen - yeah! I'm so glad you had a good ultrasound.

Lou- Have a good time on your trip! I hope your surgery goes well this month.

Margi- Oh honey. I'm so sorry... We've figured out elsewhere that we are both Jewish - so might I suggest an organization called "Bonei Olam" ("builders of the world" in Hebrew). They are an organization that helps infertile Jewish people pay for ART and adoption. They mostly work with ultra-Orthodox people, but I know modern-Orthodox people like myself who have gotten grants from them. One friend in NYC got a grant that paid for all of her first IVF (that resulted in her son) and 50% for her FET to conceive a second (she just got a BFP this week).

oh - and while I'm really excited for my friend who just got a BFP from her FET.... I'm quite jealous. She did a fresh IVF in Dec 08 which resulted in her 1yo son. Now she did her first FET - and got a BFP! Both were single embryo transfers. I am super happy for her, since I don't want anyone to have to go through the hell that most of us are dealing with.... but at the same time, I"m super jealous. I've learned how to deal with jealousies against people who just get pregnant.... but she does the same IVF stuff that I do. We have the same dx (us - slight PCO, husbands - severe MFI). It just seems so unfair. She really hopes that I get a BFP too and we both are due in August. I hope so to.... but if I don't this will just be sooooooo unfair!

I'm starting to worry about neither of my two frosties surviving thawing. We have 2 frozen A blasts..... I hope they both make it to transfer! We won't know until literally when we get to the hospital for the transfer - which is Sunday at 11am! I just have to get through the weekend and then I'm there!
