Hi everyone. I am totally new to this board and relatively new to my diagnosis of PCOS - found out April-May of earlier this year. Have been having a hard time to come in terms with it as everyone in my family has been super fertile - go figure! Anyway, DH and I have been TTC for nearly 18 months now, but have given up the possibility of doing it naturally. We recently saw our RE last week and told her we want our treatments to be aggressive, so we're going the IVF route, and hopefully in January 2011. Unfortunately, we are not working with the best gene pool either since DH's side of the family suffers from a rare genetic mutation. Therefore, we are in the midst of setting up genetic counseling appointments after obtaining all the medical information from DH's family who live in Europe. This will definitely take the longest, but we believe it's the responsible thing to do. I am guessing I'm due for my AF sometime within the next 2 weeks after which my RE will put me on BCP's. So anyway, looking forward to the journey (or not so much) and hoping for the best.
I thought I needed a support group as no one other than my DH understands what I'm going through. And of course, everyone and their mamas have been getting pregnant around me. Great for them, but not so great for my emotional health

Good luck to you all and hoping to hear some fabulous success stories!
