Thank you! Now that I am over it, I figure I will get this last insurance paid tx out of the way ASAP. I am seeing RE Thursday for blood and F/U. I think he is going to start me at my next period in two weeks, so it's not so far off. I think my ER will be January 2 appx. What a waste of eggs lol! I am 36 and can not afford to throw away a dozen eggs lol! My DH would do whatever I wanted regarding the sex with 12 eggs lol. On one hand I think it would not be more than two, on the other that is a little scary because I am not kidding I would abort all but two if it was a Kate situation lol. I would not want to be put in the position to make that decision, so I think I will probably abstain. We will see though....I will let you know lol!

Fill me in... what does the E2 do? Does that mean the eggs will not be mature?

Sonya - I am not sure what you are asking? My problem was with my red blood cell. The hematocrit # in women is normally 30 to 36. Because of a strangely heavy period, I lost too much blood and my number was 21 on Monday. E2 is perfect, lining is perfect, and I assume there would be alot of great eggs. RE said he can not do a surgery with my number being 23 today...too low. He said that if bleeding during surgery, there would be a chance I would need a blood transfusion. I would take that chance, but he will not. Now I am torn on the sex choice lol. As Anna said, after 4 failed cycles, 2 D and Cs and 3 IUIs, it's tough not to think maybe I should do it.

Lauren1171.....Girl....that sucks! I can't believe you got cancelled when everything else was going so good. Your health is the most important. As for abstaining....that's a tough one. If it were me...uhhh.....I don't know. DH would probably chase me around if he knew I had a bunch of eggies in there. Sorry about the cancellation....

AFm.....I am so relieved to get my beta this morning. I called Westcliff and the same lady answered the phone from yesterday. She absolutely hates me. She says....I told you that your results would be at your DR's office today....call him! I wanted to say....*****-Don't make me come over there! No....just kidding. I called my RE and he got on the phone and I told him how anxious I was and he said that he understood. He said my number was rising nicely and I would have my first OB appt next Thursday and we should be able to see a sac or 2. I guess that will do me a few days until I get nervous again. One hurdle at a time. I still can't believe this is happening to me....to us.

Well, we've made a decision with our situation. We aren't going to be doing a fresh cycle. It would put us in such a tight place financially that if we were to have any sort of emergency, we would be in trouble as we woldn't be able to afford whatever we needed. Obviously, if there were a guarantee, we would make it work but as we all know there's no guarantee w/ IVF.

We have one frostie that we'll be doing an FET. We'll start that process w/ my January cycle. My PMA isn't that great for this frostie but we have to at least try.

I'm so super happy for all you ladies that have gotten a BFP!!! Congrats! to you all.

Thinking of all you ladies that are PUPO. Baby dust!!!!!

Hi ladies, just wanted to give a quick update. ER went okay yesterday.Still a bit sore. As expected RE retrieved only 6 eggs total.. 3 of which were mature. So I am a bit bummed about such a low number of mature eggs. I haven't gotten a call yet about how it went overnight so i will update you soon. Im trying to keep my PMA knowing that it just takes one good egg..but its hard. Hope you are all well. Sending sticky dust to Tammy and Ryann.

Rio- I really really wish I was as ignorant as I was earlier.... But then I learned the really REALLY hard way that sometimes doctors are talking out of their asses (I probably should not have lost my twins at 22 weeks - knowing that if I hadn't trusted the doctors maybe one or both of my babies would be here now KILLS ME). But this time, your doctor is right! I hate when doctors mess up your dates! My OB had written my ER date as my LMP - I went in at 17 weeks pregnant and she said "oh 15 weeks?" Almost died thinking that I was 2 weeks earlier than I thought I was! But I was right!

Chelle - Israel! Yup! I was born and raised on the East Coast and met/married an Israeli guy in college. So I'm here almost 4 years now. I learned to speak Hebrew fluently so things are fine here. I actually live in Jerusalem. It's really cool that the Old City walls are on my commute to work. I shop in an open air market. Very different that my Pittsburgh upbringing! But I love it

I'm sorry for all of you who have mean DH's ex-wives. I come to this from the other angle. My parents got divorced when I was 14 - my dad remarried right away. For years we were on pins and needles waiting to see if my step mom (aged 40+) would get pregnant. I'm not sure if they ever used ART, but they tried (and failed) to adopt. It was really really really hard on us kids (I'm the oldest of 4). My mom was/is the 'nasty ex-wife' - but honestly, my dad/stepmom deserve it. They have done some shitty things. The whole thing had made life for my younger sibs (some of whom still live at home) a living nightmare. 10 years and my parents STILL can't be civil to each other!

Lauren - OMG I am soooo sorry! Is male factor an issue for you? Then 12 follies might not be crazy. Also - how would you feel about selective reduction? (I don't think we would abstain/protected sex... we have severe MFI and it seems like such a waste!)

Heather - I buy my HPTs on ebay. I have to pay for international shipping, so I use ebay Global (not USA). The thing you want to look for with HPTs is what the sensitivity is. Most 'early' tests do 25 iu/ml (your standard drug store tests) although some only do 50 iu/ml.... the really good tests are 10iu/ml. FRERs are between 8-12 iu/ml depending on the batch. I found a place in the UK that sells cheapie strips that are 10iu/ml. I paid about 8 GBP for 25 strips mailed to Israel (the more you buy the cheaper they are). I can try to find my ebay reciept to give you their name. but try searching on ebay for HPTs with 10iu/ml sensitivity

FET is TOMORROW! I keep freaking out that neither embryo will thaw.... I hope that's not true!

One of my best friends is 41 weeks pregnant and being induced tonight.... She says that it's only fitting that one of us be pregnant at all times.... so I go for my FET tomorrow and she'll deliver her baby! I hope so!

We have no known issues. My DH's sperm count is normally very high lol! Is there anyone who thinks that I should NOT have sex??? I triggered at 8:45 last night. ER would normally be 8:45 AM tomorrow. I was thinking of doing it tonight so it would not be like dead on. Is that what you would all do? I really figure that since he was going to put 4 high quality embryos in on Wed, why not take a chance?

Lauren1171: I don’t cuss..but @!()#%* it. I am so sorry you were cancelled. I don’t understand either why they couldn’t at least retrieve and then freeze, but I guess the RE is too worried about you. And, to be fair, you have to take that seriously. I can attest to what can go wrong if they don’t, unfortunately. Low blood levels are nothing to sneeze at (my level got down to 7 when I was in the hospital with OHSS). And your RE wants you to be pregnant...I don't think he would cancel unless it was truly in your best interest. What a good attitude you have though. What are your true feelings about selective reduction? That should come into play in your decision as well, that would not be an easy thing to do realistically. Especially if healthy fetuses, that, and you..your health need to be paramount. Again, sorry you are in this difficult position. I guess I will be the only one to suggest maybe you need to be careful about that decision to have sex tonight. I don't think it is easy....sending you strength to make your decision.

Oh, I think you asked about my insurance? They aren't supposed to pay for anything regarding fertility anymore, but they have been covering my SnS visits with no copay. I am not asking questions because I don't want them to look at it too carefully and then make me pay it back! I did have to pay for the HSG. It's all so confusing (and unfair) if you ask me. Thanks for your "special" help...I wouldn't be where I am without you.
