Lauren.. I'm so sorry to hear you were cancelled.. but as for BDing I would definitely do it tonight.. It can take a while for those spermies to reach egg so might as well get a head start. Besides..they live for around 5 days or so and that would be perfect timing..in my opinion.

Another AFM update: RE just called and I have 4 fertilized eggs. That is better than 3 although I am a bit confused as to how one immature egg was able to get fertilized. Oh well.. i'm a bit more optimistic than before and we are still scheduled to have 2 of them transferred Monday morning. I'm hoping the 4 make it to Monday so I could freeze a couple for the future..but i'll be happy with 2 good embies put in even if there is none to freeze.

We converted our cycle to an IUI instead since there were so few follicles and they were not growing very well - pretty sure there were only 1-2 eggs in the few follicles I had. We did the IUI this morning - beta is 12/20. We're disappointed but trying to stay hopeful that maybe the IUI will work! Otherwise we will try again in Feb or March

Lauren - sorry to hear you were canceled altogether - that really sucks considering all those follicles :( Even though the dr says not to, if I was you I would totally still try on your own...

Ryan - those embies look pretty perfect to me - you are pupo and will be BFP before Christmas!!

CShell - congrats on your retrieval - hopefully you will have a good fertility report!

Hope everyone else is doing well - I'm going to log off an rest up the rest of the weekend.

Leora - super sticky embie vibes for tomorrow!!!!!

Ryan - gorgeous embies - stick babies stick!

kbilsy - hoping your IUI will do the trick! BFP dust your way!

Cshell - 4 is great! One might have been slightly mmature and fertilized anyway. Good luck and grow embies!

Margi - yeay for starting Monday!!! I posted ofr you on the other board as well

Lauren - that is a tough decision, with my DHs low counts I would do it but you said DH has high counts, as with anything it is a gamble and good luck on your decision!

Nancy - hoping your frostie brings you a BFP

Heather - I got some walgreens cheapos and first response.

Lauren - let us know how your WTF consult goes.

Kynlee - you are a sweetheart!

Karin - you cracked me up about the nasty nurse, so happy and excited for your awesome betas!

Amanda - sorry you did not like your OB, I cannot believe he said your cervix was wait and see, what an idiot. Glad you went with someone else. What is a MFM?

AFM - I am starting to feel a tid better from my second onset of OHSS. Argh, tired of it. I was stupid and googled all kinds of stuff today and horrified myself about my US results so I am in a complete panic. DH is sweet but he doesn't get it. Nor does the poor guy know how to deal with me crying. I am just deflated and wanting resolution. If this doesn't work it's not like we can go for a fun evening, make love and try again as you girls know well. Oh I wish I could have about 3 glasses of wine!

FET went great. It was a doctor I like, who was totally cool with us transferring both embryos (it was always my choice, but it's annoying when the doctor makes obnoxious comments the whole time). We transferred both embryos....

Because of the weekends, my beta isn't until 2 full weeks from now! UGH! But he said I could go in a few days earlier - so I'm going December 16..... just 11 days to go!

I know I shouldn't, but I'll probably POAS on Friday (5dp5dt).... I should really wait until at least next Sunday (7dp5dt).... I'll try!

TXCPL - congrats on starting your stims!

Ryann--- I'm PUPO with you! Let's get ourselves some happy August babies.

Tammy - I don't see your update - how did your ET go?

I can't believe I'm finally PUPO again!

Leora - CONGRATULATIONS on being PUPO x 2!!! You've waited a long time for this and I'm so happy you've got those embies where they need to be!

Ginger (taxcpl) - YAY for starting your stims yesterday, WOO-HOO!! Keep us posted on how your SnS appointments go.

rio - When is your next u/s?? Google can be wonderful and it can be pure evil. I had to go through 3 weeks of u/s before we had a measurable heartbeat and I finally felt confident that the bean was ok (@ 6 wks just had gestational sac & yolk sac, @ 6w6d bean measured 6w2d - we saw & heard h/b but couldn't get a measurement, @ 7w6d, bean measured 7w5d and h/b was great.) Sometimes a day or two or even hours can make a difference in what you see in the early u/s. Just keep reminding yourself that your results are great for how far along you are (because they are) and each week you're going to see a LOT more development. (And you asked about MFM - that's a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist.)

kynlee - you've got such a great attitude and I agree, 2011 is going to be your year!! Hopefully someone cycling in Jan/Feb/Mar will start seasonal winter cycle group thread, but if not, I'll just have to come stalk everyone on whatever monthly threads they join.

Tammy - Where are you? We haven't heard anything about your ET and that's making me nervous. Are you ok?? Anyone have Tammy on their FB and know if she's ok??

kbillsy - I hope converting to IUI will do the trick and you won't have to worry about cycling again. Congrats on being PUPO and I definitely think that was a wise decision given the follie count you were facing.

lauren1171 - Let us know what you decided to do last night. :)

margi - I'm feeling great, thanks! Hope you get the go-ahead to start stims tomorrow after your SnS! Did I read that you were also going to use Menopur this time? (If that wasn't you who said that, sorry, my memory may be faulty.)

Mishell - GREAT fert report! Especially when you have that surprise that another one fertilized, woo-hoo! What time is your ET tomorrow so we know when to stalk?

Amanda...I'm here, I'm sorry, I'm fine. It's been a busy few days...and I'm supposed to be on bedrest. :? Bill and I babysat the little boy that I usually sit for on Friday's and I never really stayed in bed like planned. Bill was gone all day yesterday for work, errands, and his band played out...and again I babysat my nieces and nephews last night so my family could go to his show. So everytime I took some time to lay down flat to get some sort of rest...I didnt feel like trying to type with one hand..and/or spending 1-2 hours trying to write personals in between caring for Zach. It takes me alot of time. Today, we have a birthday party, and a Christmas party over an hour away and we are having a snow storm. Anyhow, sorry. How are you feeling?

Ryann...Yayyy for being PUPO!!! Oh my goodness...FINALLY!!! I am soo happy and thrilled for you and your gorgeous embabies! They look just like you, too! lol So happy to hear that your Dad is on the mend and doing well...any new update there?

Leora...Congrats on being PUPO today! I just know this is going to work for you and am just soooo happy for you! Leora...yes, you should start the Winter Cycle Group thread...just as soon as everyone is ready. I'd like to see everyone stay together, if possible.

Rio...Relax darling! Like I told you and the girls all told you...what they saw on u/s is expected and normal for 5 weeks along! I cringed when you first said you were going the 2nd instead of the 8th...because I knew what you would see and how you would worry. BTW (by the way), I loved texting you during my transfer. lol Ok, so it wasnt during...but right afterwards, but still cool. You made me smile after my not so good news. Thank you. Sorry the OHSS has returned...hope you are feeling better soon. I wish I could have at least 3 glasses of wine right now, too.

Franny...If you are reading....sweety, I can feel your sadness and heartbreakthrough your words and I cry for you. I want soooo much for you to have your miracle...and I know you dont want to hear that maybe you were meant to adopt, foster, use donor, but maybe after some time to heal and close this chapter in your life...you will see things differently. However, if you are able to look into grants, different insurance/job, clinical trials, etc...something WILL come up and work out for you. You were meant to be a mommy, somehow, someway. I truely believe that. Please dont give up completely. Hugs my dear friend.

Lauren1171...Again, I am soooo very very sorry that they cancelled you...however, I do understand why...and that it is best for your health to not put you through retrieval surgery. You'll be pregnant soon, though...hang in there! Hugs!

Margi...Ugh, it just breaks my heart that this wasnt your time, again! We will get there! Stay strong...you're strength is rubbing off on me and everyone around here. Thank you. Big Hugs!

Anna...Congrats again on an unexpected IUI...this is your time! Good Luck!

Ginger...Good to see you back with us...we missed you. Yayyy that you have FINALLY started stims now!!! Cant wait to hear all about all of your SnS appts.

Kbillsy...Sorry about converting to IUI...but no worries...you WILL be pregnant...and it doesnt matter how you get there as long as you do. Congrats on being PUPO. Fingers and toes crossed!

Mishell...Another egg maturing over-night (if it's close to maturation, it's possible, 1 of mine did last cycle)...and then it fertilizes on it's own...is pretty common. It's a good sign of good things to come. Good Luck at your ET tomorrow! Keep us posted, dont go MIA, like me. lol

Lauren...You'll be starting again soon...cant wait to hear all about your journey again!

Nancy...I am thrilled that you are giving your frostie a chance...(s)he is the ONE!!! Good Luck!!

Heather...I use FRER's...I get them at Walmart...they seem to be cheaper there compared to other places. There is a $2 off coupon on their website also. (first response early result)

Karin...Wow!!! Your growing a baseball team in that ute!! lol Awesome betas! Sooo happy and excited for you!

Chelle...some people do bleed while on stims, and depending on the protocol that is okay...however only your doc will know for sure. Did you call? What did he say? How are stims going otherwise?

Karen...How are you feeling mama?

AFM: Well, things didnt go very well at all. We put back 4 embryos...a 6 cell, 4 cell, 4 cell, and 2 cell. Each month is getting worse...I think we may be at the end of our journey...trying to decide now where to go from here. We talked last month about going only to the end of the year and starting 2011, fresh one way or another. (however, I think I can actually get 1 more cycle in with ET being on Dec 31st, lol), but I dont want to try again on this protocol...it is obviously not working...which would delay my Dec 31st ET. My doc moved to another hospital and we have a new doc there...so, I am considering asking him what protocol would he do for me...and if he has some sort of great plan...maybe we will try again, I dont know. Bill feels pretty done right now, too. If we do decide to move on with our lives...I will still check back in here and keep up with all of your journeys till everyone has their miracle.

HOWEVER, I am trying to keep up the PMA and give these embryos their fighting chance. The good news is...that the 6 cell picture was taken 4 hrs before my ET, and I asked them if things may have changed since they last saw them...hoping it was an 8 cell now...and she took a look as she was loading them up into the cath thing. And, the embryologist and the doc said, "Ooo the 6 cell is changing...it is compacting!" I asked her if that meant it went to 8 cells and then compaction...and she said since she doesnt have the high powered microscope out at that moment and cant move it around to see...she doesnt know and cant tell with it compacting. It does show that it is growing and developing though. My research led me to believe that if a 6 cell embryo is showing early compaction....and if fragmentation is less than 10% that this shows a high chance of implantation...if more than 10% frag...a very low chance of implantation. My 6 cell is less than or about 10% fragmentation. I also read that this is a sign of the embryo possibly splitting into twins. We have a very very high # of twins on both sides of my family and Bill's family, too. So this would not surprise me. The doc also said that the 4 cell was changing, too.

So that is my update. Hoping and praying for good news...but staying realistic, too. Love to all.

Heather...just saw your question while posting...the surgery was cancelled until this week (not sure when yet)...because of his cold and flu going on. Poor little guy.

hi ladies! i'm sorry i've been mia, but i've been reading daily, i promise! i just needed some time to regroup after my bfn. it really sucks!!! we're definitely going to take some time off, especially w/ the holidays right around the corner. i'm thinking maybe end of january/beginning of february. we shall see. i'm going to make an appointment w/ a male factor fertility specialist/re at yale new haven. we've been going to uconn, which has the best stats in the state of ct, but yale is not that far behind. i also want to inquire about imsi. dh & i are off from school/work during the week between christmas & new year's, so i'm going to try to get an appointment then.

ok, i'm now going to attempt personals.

Ester...so good to hear from you! I'm glad you have a plan for your next round....I'll be keeping everything crossed for you!

Tammy...I'm sorry that ET didn't go as well as you would have hoped...but keep the faith! That's so funny that you said that because I already told DH I think they look like me! Haha he thinks I'm nuts! It's crazy that I love them already! Dad is great! He is home and on the mend! Thanks for asking :)

Amanda...LOVE your ticker!!!!!

kbills...sending you tons of sticky vibes for that IUI!!!

Mishell...Good luck tomorrow! That's awesome that another one fertilized!

Karin...Awesome second beta! Congrats!

Nancy...I'm praying that your one frostie is the one!

Margi...Sorry AF is a witch...but crossing my fingers for stims tomorrow night!

Krys...where are you? How you holding up?

I know I didn't get you all and I'm sorry! Thinking of you all though!

AFM....Just relaxing...being treated like a queen actually. My MIL is staying here until tomorrow and I don't think I have ever eaten so well! She is taking good care of me and DH. I am actually suprisingly calm. Of course I want to POAS but that's just because I want to know what a positive HPT looks like!

For those who have asked...Dad is great! He is home and doing really really well! Thanks for all the prayers!
