Embryos didn't make it:(

Post by totsie »

We did an IVF/ICSI cycle, had my ER on November 29 they retrieved 10 eggs of which only 8 were mature and only 5 fertilized normally. I had a day 3 transfer on Thursday we transfered 2 of the best ones and they kept the 3 not best quality in culture in the lab to see if it makes it to " freezable blasts". Today I received a call saying that they didn't make it..
Now I'm really scared and nervous..is that an indication that the ones they put in me won't make it either?? :(

has anyone had the same thing happen and got a BFP??

There is a slight correlation there. But the fate of the morphologically inferior embryos is not very closely tied to the fate of the best embryos. In other words, the failure of your extra embryos to form good blasts reduces your chances very little.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

I wouldn't worry. I had the same thing happen to me. We started out with 8 embryos, 2 stopped right from the start then I had 6. RE put 3 embryos in and left other 3 to grow to blast. I was soooo hoping to have frozen and the same thing they didn't make it. I am 27 weeks preggo :D :D :D and in the end that is all that matters :D :D :D :D :D Good luck !!!!

Hi
I wouldn't worry. We had 8 perfect embies on day 3 and only 3 good blasts on day 5, we transferred 1 and have a beautiful boy from it.

Good luck

Don't worry! We had 3 embies, and only 2 (blasts) made it to transfer. We now have a smily, adorable baby boy as a result :). Lots of luck!!! Baby dust to you!!!
