i am 3 dpt and 6 dpr.. i started progesterone the day after retrieval and i have been doin it with a 25 gage 5/8 needle.
i didnt realize it was supposed to be a 1 1/2" needle and when i told my nurse that at my transfer she made me take a blood test to see how my progestrone level was..it came out to be a bit over 100 which was great..so why is she still making me do the 1 1/2!
i have not been listening to her and i am still doing my 25g 5/8 needle because i just cant!! and...i figure if the test said im heading in the right direction in regards to progesterone levels then why torture myself..i look at those needles and i really freak out!:((
can someone give me peace of mind that its ok for me to do it with the smaller needle?!

I use a 1 inch needle but I'm 100 lbs so it goes into my muscle. Progesterone can change daily so even though your number was high then, doesn't mean it will stay high. . .but they probably will b/c you had an egg retrieval so your body is making progesterone. .
have someone give you the shot so that you don't have to look at it and freak out.
