Sorry its been a few days since I posted. After my appointment friday I guess I was depressed.

easley- Congrats on the great fertilization report!!! Sounds like good news for this cycle. Fingers crossed that all 5 continue to develop. How many will you be transferring?

blessed- Congrats on the BFP!!!!!!

margi- Hoping for good news and no cysts today! Fingers crossed so keep us posted.

mellow- Hows the OHSS? Feeling any better? When do you go back?

rio- How are you feeling lately? PMA!! Not too much longer until the US where you get to see bean with a heartbeat!

annashope- Hows the 2ww going?

AFM- Tryint to keep a PMA. Still get sad and worried when I start to dwell on things but then I try to tell myself there is nothing to do at this point but wait. The gestational sac was there and in my uterus so I should be happy about that for now. I have been looking at the US pic trying to will it to keep growing and developing so we can see a heartbeat when we go back wednesday. I really just wish I knew the chances of things working out in this type of situation. Just want to be realistic about the whole thing.

Man, am I bummed now. SnS did NOT look good...tons of cysts...well 4. That is tons to me. I don't understand at all? How is it they didn't drop? Does anyone understand how it happens? On my right, I understand, since I have no tube, but why would there be one giant cyst/follie still on my left side? Does it imply that the tube isn't fully open? Google here I come...

I will wait for my call since they will decide based on my bloodwork, but I can't imagine how I could move forward. I am so bummed.

margi~ I'm sorry. Ugh. I don't know why, but, sometimes with IUI's there tend to me more leftover cysts. I hope your blood work is okay and you can still go ahead. Never a dull moment right.

blair~ My goodness...these early ultrasounds just make the Mama's worry more when there isn't enough to be seen. I'm sorry. When did you say you go back again? Wasn't it this week? Last year when I did a cycle, I went in at 5w5d, and they only saw a sac, and yolk sac....I was a basket case, and they wouldn't let me come back in for 2 weeks. It was the worst wait by far, and I was a mess the whole 2 weeks. They noticed when I came in for the ultrasound how worried I was. Thankfully all was well and I breathed a huge sigh of relief. I hope you are able to do that this week.

Hi Ladies,

I was thinking that after the ER/ET things would calm down but after reading everyone's posts I can see I still have a long journey ahead. I am thinking about all of you. I pray everything comes out great!

AFM~ My RE office called this morning and are going to tentatively schedule me for a 3 day transfer for tomorrow around 1:15 but if they look at things tomorrow and all 5 still look good then they will change it to a 5 day. I would rather do a 5 day. But we shall see! We are leaning towards putting back 2. I am feeling very nervous but excited too.

Confirmed! We're pregnant! Beta in 26.5 - seems low - should I be nervious??

Blessed~ you will never not be worried...cautiously optimistic until beta number 2 is usually the norm. What's another 2 days right Will be praying that your betas double and things look great for you.

Blessed: Congratulations!! You are officially pregnant!!! Yippee! It is a little low, but the more important thing is how it rises. I assume you go Wednesday for beta #2? That will let you know how it is going. One worry to the next with this process, but all for a wonderful cause. If you haven't already, check out:

blair: Hang in there...each step is so difficult, I know. Can only put one foot in front of the other and hold onto positive visualization (as you are doing). Keep "seeing" your bean grow and develop. Wednesday is only two sleeps away.

Annashope: How are you doing? I guess you, me and Mellow will be doing consecutive 2ww's this go round...but we will catch up with each other on the Pregnancy Board after we each get our BFPs. Mellow was first, then you, then me. I don't mind being last. I know mine is coming.

Mellow: How are you feeling?! How is the weight today?

AFM: I am soooooooooooo relieved. My FSH is good, my E2 is low (30) so I am good to go despite those horrid cysts. WHEW!! So, I will go back on Friday for recheck SnS…nurse said only “tricky” thing will be to be able to distinguish good new follies from those giant empty ones. But, that is why I am coming back Friday. So---I am can go to the STIM list! Tonight I start!! “Team BFP 2010” here I come!!!!

Margi - yeay for the great news! I was going to say I don't think there is anything wrong with your tubes, I have like 7 cysts right now huge ones in my ovaries still and the OHSS, even OB said you must be very uncomfortable, yep no kidding! So you should be fine but it might be more painful though as your other follies grow with the cysts so just watch out for that. Great levels and you will be in the 2WW in no time!

mellow - how is your weight gain so far? Keep me posted on your move, any luck with buyers so far? Yes, early US are a B**** I shouldhave waited and not had one so early but I had an ectopic last time so I guess it was good to make sure it was in my uterus.

Blessed - how many days post ER are you? Like everyone said it is the doubling that counts! Congrats!!!

easley - our RE doesn't do 5 days unless you have more than 6 embies beacuse the attrition rate can be 50%. Congrats on your fert report!

Blair - to think that regular mommies don't even go for an US until 10 weeks! Lucky girls! We know way too much and we are so stuck on numbers and statistics, I am that way too. I hope we get wonderful news!

AFM - This has been hard like Blair said. I googled too much and think my gestational sac (no yolk) was too small for the date, I am hoping and praying that it grew and has a healthy baby inside. After my ectopic a couple of months ago I thought, ok, come on, now it has to be god news. But IVF is cruel. There will be BFN girls, Miscarriages and all kinds of unfair things that happen to us. I just pray we all get the baby we are praying for!

I'm 14 days post retrieval. I was so anxious this morning that I accidently gave the Dr my home # so my husband got the call and my DH called me with the news. So of course I asked my DH 100 questions which led me to call my Dr and now waiting for my Dr to call me back. We have a debriefing appt tomorrow at 9:30am and BETA #2 is Wednesday at 7am. I guess I can wait until tomorrow with my questions if I don't get a call back today ...

ATTENTION!!! Anyone doing the AF dance for me can stop NOW!! LOL J/K but I think I had a brush with death this morning, the pain from AF cramps was so bad I thought I was going to vomit. NO one told me I would hurt so much worse than normal. It is probably because I had a monstrous lining it was at a 13 a week before the transfer. IM is convinced that that is the main reason why the transfer didn't work. She has read a lot about how the lining shouldn't be over 15 and that it grows at a rate of 1mm a day and since it had a week from the last time they checked there is no telling how thick it got. What do you all think have you heard anything about tha??

We are a little bummed that we won't be able to move into a DEC cycle the clinic says there is not enough time since they are closed for 2 weeks for the holidays But they said we should be ready to go as soon as they return Jan 3 2011.

So I went for my consult today with RE. We discussed why IVF may have not worked. My DH has no male factor. I do not have any diagnosed problems, but I may have poor quality of eggs. My RE said there has been no tests that makes this a definate, but it maybe possible.

My unsuccessful IVF cycle I had 12 ER 6 fertilized and only 4 at day 3 had cell division. At 3 day they were mostly 6 cell and one 4 cell, and at day 6 the two that were not implanted in me did not continue to divide and were not frozen. So... maybe my eggs are not the greatest!

Or... he said maybe I have endometriosis. I do not have any symptoms except infertility! So I have the option to have a laparoscopy to diagnose and treat. I have been looking it up and it does make sense to see if I do have it. My RE is not necessarily convienced that I need a lap, but have had girls that were asymtomatic and had endometriosis.
Has any of you experieced girls heard of having a lap without symptoms or any experience with it.

Now I am left to decide if I want to have a laparoscopy. He said if I choce to go back to IUI that a lap would be a good plan. I did have only one IUI and we were thinking of going back to IUI before another IVF. Or we can go staight to IVF which if I did have endometriosis that would be more successful. OMG what do I do?

Margi- am right behind you. Af still have not shown its ugly face when i need it the most so i can proceed here.
Deedee- sorry for the news. Not sure about the laparoscopy or is it the same thing as saline ultrasound? coz i think when they do the saline ultrasound my doc says they see more what is in the uterus. so m ay want to ask and that way they clean up some. Alternatively they can do a hysteroscopy and if they have to lanse (sp)something they find its easier and in one step. Just a thought from dealing with this. I had the saline ultrasound then the hysteroscopy and during the hysteroscopy they found i had a septum and repaired it. no big deal was in and out of the hospital then got preg that very month with iui but sadly miscarried.
