Deedle- when we started with the RE in january he was going to give me 3 months before he would do a laporoscopy. We did 1 natural IUI, then 1 IUi with clomid and decided to go ahead and do the laporoscopy once they found polyp and cysts on US. RE said it would also help clear stuff out and give them a lot better idea of what they are dealing with. It wasn't too bad- just 2 little incisions. I actually had a freak incident and ended up with free air/fluid on my diaphragm which caused irritation and was very annoying afterwards. RE said it was very rare and didn't even believe me (because I could hear the air/fluid moving around) until they did a chest xray. Anyway- I haveheard of a lot of people who end up getting pregnant right after so I would recommend it. Even if they don't find anything they will be able to mark stuff off the list of possible problems. Good luck.

Thanks ladies for your response to my questions about having the laparoscopy, I am pretty sure I'll do it. Just need to call my OB/GYN to see if he can do it since my INS doesn't cover any of my RE appts

Margi You crack me up :) I am not kidding I look forward to everyone of your posts. I am so glad your blood work is good and you can move forward. Although I have to admit menapur was the most expensive med for me in IVF but anywho who cares if you can get a baby out of it. I love your attitude and yay for "Team BFP 2010"

Blair I too have read lots of stuff on early ultrasounds and I think you have nothing to worry about. I mean in the end babies do not grow exactly as prescribed, they don't care about our schedules or ultrasounds and you are so early that a few days in either direction is a huge difference. Ultimately some babies will be born at 37/38 weeks and some at 40/41 and all will be full term. Your betas were great not low or slow so I think the next ultrasound you will see everything you wish to see. Hugs and prayers

Deedle I was just wondering why like someone else mentioned will they not to a hysteroscopy and an hsg. I was told by my RE that those tests can rule out endometriosis. Good luck to you and if you have only had 1 iui maybe its worth doing more. I hate when in cases of "unexplained" they immediately attack our eggs it just feels so wrong. I mean they can't run any tests on sperm either and not all good looking sperm make babies but I feel the answer is always our eggs....ugh sorry sore topic. I have heard it all from "maybe I waited too long" I am only 28 I AM NOT OLD or maybe its my eggs which by the way made beautiful embies and a beautiful son (10 years ago) ugh they just don't know but sometimes we just try and try and all of the sudden it works. Good luck to you

nwquiz come on AF. I would do a af dance for you you but afraid to bring on my own...lol

ladybug I heard that AF from IVF is pretty heavy but I am not sure as mine ended in a m/c. However I don't believe it is your lining I would think it was the embies. My lining during IVF was also really thick and the embie implanted anyways. I think its the thinner lining that is worse. Good luck to you and I am sure next time it will be a success :)

AFM nothing to report here. I am 5dpo (7 days from trigger) today so my baby should be a blast by now. I have been pretty optimistic this cycle although I could not tell you why. The POAS insanity is already here and I still am seeing my trigger which is normal. God willing in a few days I will start seeing that line grow darker. I guess in a way I am a huge believer in "natural things" and not having used meds this cycle gives me PMA although I think it also helps knowing that if this doesn't work we have 4 rounds of medicated iui's and an IVF waiting. I just wish so badly to get a BFP before Christmas...it would be the greatest gift ever. Spent the weekend decorating our house with lights and now I think it is visible from space :) ahh what we IVF'ers do to keep busy and pass the time

Annas - I am so excited for you and I am cheering for your BFP, I am glad to see your PMA is super high! I like what you said to Blair since we are on the same boat! Does your DH have enough sperm to do IUI, do you know what the cut off is?

Deedle - Anas is right it is not just about our eggs... have you thought about DHEA?

Margi - when do you have another SnS? :)

Blessed - praying for a great beta tomorrow!

Margi - It worked but Igot the BFP with ClearBlue and EPT . Dollar Store HPT still shows BFN. I guess my HCG levels were too low for the cheaper test to read the levels.

Nwquiz, Deedle, babydreamz & Blair - Thanks! Still worrying as all hell.

Rio- 14 days and thanks!

AFM - 2nd beta tomorrow. Spoke to IVF coordinator today and she said that she's seen the numbers as low as 14 and the person is 4 months pregnant now. They want the # between 20-100 and that I should be cautiously optimistic (sound familar huh??). Tomorrow is such a big day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please please please Beta go up!!!

Blessed - There was a girl here 2 years ago and she had a beta of 7, stopped meds ad was pregnant with twins! One twin didn't make it which was very sad but she had one healthy baby girl. So I understand being cautious but hopeful. But also think good thoughts and visualize your baby! Same for you babydreamz. THis IVF journey is hard enough without so many speed bumps and horrible waits. We think it is over when the 2ww ends but it is not! PMA girls!!!Image Praying for good results for both of you!!! Remember it doesn't need to double in 48 hours, even doubling in 72 hours is still considered good!

easley - great ET! Woo hoo for being PUPO congratulations!!!!

Blair - SUPER AWESOME LUCK ON YOUR US AND MAY YOU SEE YOUR HEALTHY BABY!!!!

hi ladies... i've continued to lurk and watch for your successes.. just dropping in to say to deedle (as the endometriosis/laporoscopy subject is one i was just on ) - endo can ONLY be definitively seen on laporoscopy (needle/camera through the belly button), NOT hysteroscopy or u/s.. my RE told me this 2 days ago and i also researched it too..

he also said it doesn't make a significant difference in terms of doing IVF.. and i'm not sure if he said this cause he knows i'm determined to cycle again anyways.. or if there's another factor to it.

best of luck to you ladies. it's sure warmed myheart to read the success stories on here... and beta-doubling dust to you all :)

karenvan- Glad you dropped in to let us know how things were going with you. Good luck!!

Rio- How are you feeling? Only one more day until you get to see how much your little one had grown over the past week. Try to stay positive!!!

easley- Sounds like things went great at the ET and you are PUPO!!! Now the miserable waiting begins. Try to stay relaxed and hope those embryos stick in there for you.

Babydreamz/Blessedmom- Anything over 5 is pregnant. Like weve said on here before- sometimes they implant later and sometimes they just grow at different rates. Try and stay positive. All of us are wishing you all lots of beta doubling!!

Sounds to me like the phrase RE offices like to use most is "Cautiously Optimistic". They pulled it on quite a few of us so we all know how it feels. Please please please everyone keep your fingers crossed for me today. Today is our 2nd US where hopefully we will see a lot of growth from last week. I know it may still be early for a heartbeat so I would be happy with positive growth. Just keep us in your thoughts for today- US is at 11:45 EST, so I get to feel sick at my stomach all morning!! Hopefully I will come back later today with great news, but I am scared and nervous out of my mind right now.

Blesses a big congrats to you! Doubling prayers all the way.

Karen: my RE told me the same, only way to diagnose endo is with a Lap. He also told me if I decide to do another IVF then not really necessary to do the the lap, but I think I want to proceed with another iui.

Hello all,
