Angela - WHEEEEEEEE!!!! its finally time to meet little Gabriella!!! I'm so excited for you honey! wishing you a quick, painfree ( well as much as possible) delivery - Good Luck to you my friend - xoxo

Steph - oh, honey, the super cuties are beyond adorable! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pictures of their smiles! Especially the third picture, the look in Angelina's face is just precious! So Ethan does the "poopy face" too? Maybe it is a boy thing, who knows? All I know is that it makes me melt (and then do whatever it is that he wants ) its highly effective so far.. I know its coming because he will first do the frownie face, then push out his bottom lip, and if that still hasnt worked, then the deep intake of breath, and then.. here it comes... the wailing at the top of his lungs, and boy are his lungs strong!
I didnt realize how good babies are for losing weight though, I think as soon as i think of eating something, he decides thats not gonna happen - I think I finally got breakfast ( well not really, does just toast even count?) at 12 noon today, sigh. And dinner? well I havent gotten to that yet, I'm not sure that he's planning to let me either, lol. But I did take your bounce the bouncy chair with your foot idea, so thats how I've finally managed to post, whew! But I swear the music on this thing feels like its trying to brainwash me with the same two songs over & over again. :? The bad news is that he never wants to stay in the darn thing for more than 10-15 minutes. How are you holding up honey? Did you have that little chat with Andrew? I'm hoping that you did and that you're taking a nap right now, what? I can hope, right? What I wouldnt give for a shower, a nice hot shower, ah... maybe I can get to Chris to watch him just for a bit, poor guy wont be getting more than a few hours sleep himself, and thats not even being around the baby. With all thats going on with the babies, how is Alex doing? is she still taking the same bus as that boy? Alright twin mama, you are my hero, doing all of this times two!!! Hang in there, they have to sleep sometime, dont they? much love to you - xoxoxo

Pa - Ewwwwww, from craigslist?? Yuk!! perhaps she's better off without him, I think. Who would want someone as sneaky as that for a DH? my heart goes out to her, poor girl, but better she found out sooner rather than later, and she has a good friend in you, to help her get through this. How are you feeling honey? I'm glad to hear that your mom ate on her own, one less thing to worry about, right? Dont worry about not gaining weight while you're pg, I was the same way and just put on like 4 lbs up until the last 2 months, then all of a sudden, each OB visit, there was another 2 lbs, 3lbs it does add up the last month all they do is "fatten up", but you'll drop it right after, so just try to keep eating small meals often (yeah, hard I know, but whatevers best for them, right? ) Are you loving (heavy sarcasm) this flipping artic weather? can it get any colder? brrr! Umm, spring, please? take care - xoxo

Gi - Ack, sorry that you were snowed in, and here I am complaining of cold, windy, weather  to be snowed in with a newborn sounds pretty nerve wracking, good thing that Jason was home at the time! So Kayla is eating really great, it makes it easier as far as sleeping longer at night too, and we all want that, lie now actually. So you're the "bad cop"? I feel the same way with Chris sometimes, he wont even let Ryan cry for a minute before he goes running for him, and then I thinking " sure get him all spoiled and then I get him"???? Hmmm, umm no. And about the numbness? I'm at just about 5 weeks now and I 'm still numb and tender at the same time, its uch a weird feeling, isnt it?

Sara - Oooh honey, it sounds like you sure do have your hands full too. I hope that you're able to get more sleep soon, I hope that we all are  But how in the world did you find the energy to host a birhtday party for 10 7 year olds? You must be Super Mom! - xoxo

AFM - Well I started this post at maybe 4pm? And its now 1 am, so that pretty much sums it up, doesnt it? We've been having a rough couple of days around here to say the least. Whatever quasi schedule Ryan was on has flown out the window, this snacking business is seriously out of control! Its ten times worse when you take in the fact that he hasnt slept more than these little cat naps all day long! I keep giving in and putting him on my shoulder because that seems to equal - quiet and not screaming in my ear. I've tried everything that I can think of, he doesnt want anything, not the swing, not the bouncy chair, not the crib, even though thats where he usually sleeps the best. I'm out of ideas at this point, I've been trying to read through the baby books while balancing him on my lap, and theyre just irritating me - both books say until they're 2 months old, they're incapable of self soothing and to pretty much do whatever it takes to keep them quiet  That you cant spoil them at this age, but I'm not so sure I believe that. And now he's gone from eating 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours to now eating anywhere from 2- 4 oz every 90 minutes to 2 hours, no wonder I cant get anything finished, but I did get to see Chris for like 20 minutes before he had to try to grab a few hours sleep - so I threw Ryan in his lap (haha) and got to have a quick shower- yay for that at least. Now I'm wondering if the Peds was right when he told us NOT to feed him on demand and to have him wait at least 3 hours? Hmmmm, he went to school for years, and we're relying on a book, I cant shake the feeling that I'm doing this wrong, this cant be the right way because he was on a decent feeding / sleeping schedule for 4 weeks, so what happened to that? i dont mean to sound like debbie downer, I'm just worn out. If the small emperor will allow it, maybe I'll get some sleep tonight (at some point) and feel less like an incompetant idiot in the morning? The good news is that after his 2-3am feeding he'll usually sleep until 7 or 8 am. Shoot, did I just jinx myself on that one? good night girls, hugs & prayers to us all - xoxoxo

Does anyone else have a little one that totally hates tummy time?

Hello ladies I am so sleepy that I can barely keep my eyes open so I hope this post makes sense lol. I went to my OB appointment yesterday morning and the physician said that if her overall growth was not above the 10th percentile that they were going to take her right then. So, when I had my NST, she just barely passed and her body was less than the 10th percentile and her stomach was even smaller at the 5th percentile, so upstairs to the triage we went. So, my induction began well but quickly turned into a nightmare and I thought I was going to die! They inserted the Cervidil around 3pm and I quickly began having cramping and then strong contractions. I was able to deal with them until the contractions grew stronger and were coming literally every minute to a minute and a half. I couldnt even catch my breath. I dealt with that the intense pain for about 4 hours and then I began to cry and told my DH that I couldnt take it anymore! So I called the nurse in and then she called the OB because they didnt even know I was having contractions that close together because they werent picked up on the monitor. Well, it is a good thing I said something because Gabriellas heart started to decelerate because she was becoming exhausted from the constant contractions. So they ended up taking the Cervidil out and transporting me over to the labor & delivery room and gave me about four shots of Brethine to stop the contractions because she wasnt doing well at all. So around 4:30am the OB came in my room and said she is doing ok now but she wasnt stable enough to start the Pitocin so they thought they would have to perform a C-section. I wasnt very happy but I knew it was best for her so she was born 5:48am and only weighed 4 pounds and 7 ounces. She is doing well but having a little trouble keeping her temperature up. I will update everyone later.

Angela - CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!! Welcome to Miss Gabriella!!
Oh honey i'm sorry you had a long labor, and then had to have a c section on top of that, thats what happened to me too, but as long she is here and being well cared for while you recover then its all good. I cant believe that you didnt have an L&D nurse with you the whole time you were being induced, I thought that was standard protocol? I went through 2 nurses I took so long, but each one stayed in the room with me the whole time doing their "tracing" even when I managed to sleep a bit. I'm sorry that you were left alone to labor unmonitored, Oh, wait a minute, Ohio had crazy snow yesterday didnt they? oh, they probably were short staffed. Whew with your hospital being an hr away, thank God you were already there and not sliding all over the road. I'm glad you're both safe ans sound - now just rest, heal and gaze at Gabriella in sheer awe and amazement that she's finally here! - much love mama - xoxo

Hi girls,

Oh Angela I am so happy to hear little Gabriella arrived here safely, it was about time the OB started induction as i dont think your nerves (or ours) would have held for another 2 wks. I am sorry to hear it wasnt an easy labour and ended in Section ( acutually come to think of it has anyone here had an ordinary smooth delivery??) but the main thing she is out safely and in good hands. I wish you and Gabriella a speedy recovery, your dh must be so proud xxxx

Katie Yeah for some sleep!!!!! I too love when Kayla has long sleeps as well, i am just up from a 1.5 hr nap and feel great even better she is still asleep so i get time to log on lol. Kayla too likes her snack at least once a day, usually she drinks about 5 ozs but around midday she likes a snack of about 2ozs then 2 hrs later wants another 3 ozs, i do try let her cry a bit and wait it out but she does be starving and her little fists are shoved into her mouth and she shakes her head like crazy there is no way i can leave her like that as she gets too stressed out. As long as she doesnt snack during the night .

Sara there is always one litte terror at birthday parties!!! Fair play to you for throwing one as well as dealing with 5 wk old twins...Supermom!!!!

PA oh my goodness your scan pic is so cool and what chubby cheeks....just irrestibly pinchable!!!!! Glad to hear your mom is doing better long may it continue. And your poor friend what an inconsiderable ass her dh is, whats a craiglist???

Natasha looks like you are next to deliver unless someone else wants to beat you too it

AFM had the worst day ever with Kayla yesterday!!! Maybe i have been too lucky with her just feeding, cuddling then sleeping for 3 hrs but yesterday ugghhhh. So started off great she got up at 8 am having only woken once during night at 4 am, i fed her but she wouldnt get up any burps put her in her bouncer for 40 min then crib i had plenty of time to do all housework, shower etc and then bammm 11am the poor little mite woke up was sooooo restless and fussy, crying on off and only catching 20 min naps till 11pm, you couldnt put her down for more than few mins or she would scream!! When j arrived home at 5pm i went walking with the dog (def. needed fresh air and a mental break) when i came back he was like how in the name did you do this all day!!!! By 9:30pm i figured she must have a pain in her tummy or something so i gave her some detinox for collicky babies and she finally fell asleep in jasons arms at 11pm, the little mite slept solidly for 4 hrs only to wake up for a quick feed then back asleep again for another 4 hrs. She has had 3 long naps today (all 3hrs long) and is a much more contented baby, she had a huge poopy diaper and lots of burps and wind today!!! ha ha who would have thought dirty diapers and burps would make me soooo happy!!!!
I just noticed from Katies updates (thanks!!) that little Miss Kayla (well not so little) is the heavist baby born so far  i reckon she has gotten jasons appetite!!!
Sorry if i have forgotten anyone, hugs to ye all xxx

Angela- I am so glad she is out. Welcome to the world sweet little Gabriella! I'm sorry you were in so much pain and went through so much. I can't wait to see pictures of her sweet face. Congrats to your family honey.

Katie- Um yeah this weather sucks. But I think you are getting it worse than me. We still haven't had a proper snow fall. (Touch wood)

Gi- Craig's list is a web site where you can sell things. Like tons of classified ads for almost anything...furniture, baby clothes, cars, etc. Then there are the "hidden ads" that are illegal but they do it anyhow, like prostitution. Then there is the legal but morally wrong side of personals. Personals for dating are fine by me but when you see the ones that said SMF searching for discreet encounter, well it makes me sick. (SMF-single married female) Anyhow, he was finding women on there to screw because she was so sad after this last loss. This was their last try at IVF/FET. No more money, no more insurance, no more frosties. It's all just sad. It makes me sick for her.

AFM- not much going on today. We are trying to install a new closet system in the baby's room. I have filled in the holes with spackle and then we will pretty much be ready! We have the drawers put together. Now if I could figure out what is for dinner. LOL I am still sick although feeling MUCH better. Just a slight stuffy nose and a constant headache. I'm over this...it's day 11 of my cold. UGH!
I am realizing that there are not too many of us left on the pregnant side. EEEKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!! And I can't believe it is like 18day until Christmas. I have not even started shopping yet. :( On the upside, I just noticed that NJ has finally accepted my paperwork for maternity pay from my Dr and they have sent out a check. THANK GOD because 2 months without pay has been kicking my butt! :)
Much love ladies. XOXO

Hey girls! Just two quick personals, I'll do more later!

Katie - Have you read Babywise? It totally contradicts the other books. It basically has you put baby on a schedule at 1 week old. I just finished it and it makes soooo much sense. A lot of my friends swear by it (my twin mom friends said it's the only way to survive). It specifically mentions snacking and how bad it can be for baby because it's not really what they need. Sometimes they hit a growth spurt and DO need to eat more often, but if he isn't taking a full feeding, that's not the problem. I've started doing it with my girls and it's been great. Amelia has been doing very well...Juliette has been struggling because it says to try very hard to have them fall asleep in the crib, not anywhere else (obviously it will still happen, especially in the car seat, but try your best). My girls sleep a ton because I force them to take naps. Juliette is screaming her head off right now because she wants to fall asleep on me or in the bouncy and I won't let her. She's 50/50 on whether she'll go right down...Amelia is almost always good to fall asleep in her crib. Also at night, I just turn the monitor off and set my alarm. It has the lights on, just no sound. If the babies are fed, they are fine...I just let them cry and wake up when my alarm goes off. If they are still sleeping, then I turn the sound on and let them sleep until they wake up. Guess what? They don't cry at night, except maybe for 5 min if my alarm goes off too late. So I get a good 5 hours before the 3:15 feeding (Darren is still feeding them at midnight), and another couple before the 6:15 feed (those are estimated times). We started this last week after that awful night and I've been a much nicer mommy since I am getting more rest! And PS - you can totally spoil your baby and instill bad habits at this age. I used to let my girls nap in the bouncy all day and now it's hard to get Juliette to nap in her crib. Go with your intuition on this one. You will feel SUCH a relief when you know what's coming. It's still frustrating when they cry, don't get me wrong...but it's nice to know they can cry for awhile and be just fine. That's what babies do. It's learning to figure out WHY they are crying and fix the problem (something I am still working on with them).

Anyway, this approach isn't for everyone, but it's worth a shot! This is a really good time for you to try it since you stay home most of the time. Give it a good five days and see if it works. I really recommend reading the book because it talks about having eat/wake/nap time in that order.

Angela - CONGRATS!!!! I am sooo sorry you had such a bad a labor, but so thrilled Gabriella is here and healthy! Another little peanut to add to our group. YAY!! Take care and update when you can!
