Hello all,

Quick question, I had my 3 day transfer yesterday (2 perfect little beans) and I am having some cramping today. Noticable but not really painful, kinda like peroid cramps. I this normal after a transfer? So nervous!!!! :?

Hi There - I am new to this board or any board for that matter :D I am so excited to find you all! Your posts are truly inspiring and it is nice to find a place that you all are doing it at the exact same time as me. We do ER today and shooting for ET on Monday the 13th making it five days. We are really struggling with the decision of transferring 1 or 2 eggs - we have a 23 month old -she was born on New Years Eve 2008 so we are not sure if we can handle three kiddos - any thoughts???? RE says when you transfer two there is a 28% chance that both will take & you will have twins but there is a 60% chance of only one surviving - so do I take the leap and go for it? That is what scares me the most -

Thanks for all your posts I am praying for BFP for all of you!!!

hi everyone....my day 3 embryo report. i hope this info helps other people, i know that every little thing helps me!?!?

3 x embryos are 5 cells
1 x embryo is 7 cells
1 x embryo is 8 cells

I asked the embryologist about the 5 cells embryos, is there no hope for them. SHe told me that anything from 6 cells to 8 cells are good for Day 3 embryos. With my 5 cells embryos she's not too concerned at the moment as she checked quite early in the morning and its not a full 3 days yet for them.SOOOO does that mean my 7 cell and 8 cell embryo are doing great guns then since they are not fully day 3 yet?????? I HOPE SO....PLEASE GOD!!!!

SOOOOO....im still hopeful! I need at least 2 great looking blastocysts on Saturday as we're transferring 2 blastocysts.

Dahlias - 7 fertilised....YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! what is your DAY 2 report????

katieb1231 - my first IVF cycle, I have a 20mth old DD - we only transferred one day5 blastocyst then. Since then I've had 9/10 IVF cycles (lost count now), and more than half have been with 2 blastocysts, with the last one resulting in pregnancy but 6 weeks m/c. For me, Im willing to take a chance with twins if it means I might
have a better chance of falling pregnant - period.....let us know what you've decided. I think most of us here in this Dec cycle have transferred 2 or more....(some day 3 some day 5 blastocysts).

easley4 - cramps are good.....i know they tell you that the cramps could be from ER still...but during my 2ww i hold onto the cramps! Also, with my first pregnancy, I had 5 day transfer where I felt cramps a couple of days later....and that was it. During my last pregnancy that ended up in m/c, I had cramps for most of the 2ww after ET.....

leorira11 - for both my pregnancies, i tested positive at 12dpo....faint, then more prominent the day after etc etc.....good luck...i hope it turns positive soon...fingers crossed.

Hi All - ER was today and we got 17 eggs - will hear tomorrow about fertilization I am praying for at least 1/2 so I can have some frozen for a later transfer if I wanted. We are praying for a day 5 transfer since that seems to be a better prognosis - We have a 23 month old DD so having two more seems like a lot to us.

Laylastam - Thank you for the information - we are still debating on what to do - but this board is sure making things a lot clearer for me! :D :D :D :D

Katie...Welcome! What a wonderful New Year gift!!! congrats on 17 eggs! That's awesome! I know it's different for everyone, but I would rather take the risk of multiples than no baby at all...I think I would adjust to 3 kids easily if I had to.

Layla...Great report! I def think those 7 and 8 cells are some strong babies!

Easley...Congrats on PUPO! I def had cramps starting about the day after transfer and from what I read that is pretty normal. I'm keeping everything crossed for your BFP! Don't you LOVE the pics of the embies! I keep mine in my purse so I can take them out and look at them any time I want!!! I just love them already!

Dahlia...Congrats on 7 embies! That's awesome news!

Leora...People keep asking me how I feel and I feel silly telling "normal" (meaning non-IVF) people all of my symptoms because they don't understand...luckily I know you all understand. Like I said on the Fall board, I spent the night throwing up last night and now am still totally sick to my stomach....totally hoping it's a good sign! I've decided to hold off POAS any more until the weekend...mostly because I ran out and haven't gotten to the store yet :) not because of will power!!

Mishell...Yay for PUPO! I'm done with bedrest, I did 4 days and then life had to go on. Although I called in sick to work today because I spent last night throwing up, but I have to keep on chuggin! What are you doing to keep yourself busy?

Jamie...how goes the Lupron? I HATED that stuff!

Anyone on here know how to do a list? Amanda on the Fall board kept one and it was so nice to be able to track everyone, but I haven't the slightest idea how to do it! I THINK I got everyone, but I may have left someone out! Sorry if I did!

AFM....Still just waiting...6 days left til my beta...WOO HOO! Sypmtom wise I feel like there has been a ton, but I hope it isn't mind games! I'm crampy and keep feeling twinges, one is constant on the lowers right side and one comes and goes on the lower left. I know it isn't my ovaries because I became very familiar with ovary pain with all my tumors...it's in a different area. Then last night, around mindnight, when implantation should have been beginning, I got really sick to my stomach and spent the night throwing up. Who knows! I've used a few HPT, but they are dollar store ones and say they don't detect until the day of your missed period, so I am going to buy some more sensitive ones tomorrow after work. My 1 year wedding anniversary is Sunday so I am hoping to get 2 pink lines by then so I can suprise DH...I think he would love that even though he is against HPTs....I do them in secret :)

Thanks everyone - Tonight will be a restless night wondering what my little potential embies are doing but I am really excited - and praying for the best - all we need is one right? Anyways I think we are pretty set on transferring two - I think you are right Rypell taking the risk of multiples is worth it better than no baby at all!

I will let you all know what happens tomorrow -

What does PUPO mean?

Anyone else planning a Monday 13th transfer?

Well, my clinic doesn't do reports until the day before transfer. The nurse I spoke to earlier in the week apparently thought we were doing a three day transfer, which is why she told me should would call me with a report yesterday. I'm so stressed!!! Just hoping those little cells continue to divide.

I shared this on the fall board, so sorry for being repetitive, but I just called a kid out on eating candy. He sits in the back of the room and I was at the front....you know how I busted him? I could SMELL his candy from the front of the room....how bout them apples?! Ladies, I hope I don't have too much PMA here, but I think that is a very good sign!

Ryann-- I have had HG with both of my pregnancies (non-stop vomiting - 10-15x/day - dehydrating - unstoppable) and even with such a bad reaction to pregnancy hormones, the vomiting never starts until at least 4.5 weeks. We are about 3.5 weeks along (hopefully!), so your vomiting was probably something you ate or nerves (or psychosymatic!). Sorry you are feeling sick, though!

Yeah for everyone getting good ER and fert reports. That's one of the harder things about an FET.... you don't know anything at all until transfer day! You build up your lining just hoping that the frosties survive. I know that there are pple who do fresh and don't make it to transfer, but you usually have some indication of that earlier (too few follies, not many fert, etc). With the FET, I just cross my fingers that the whole thing won't be a waste. Well - it wasn't, since both our frosties defrosted and were transferred...

BFN on the HPT again - please help my addiction! Repeat after me "Leora, you are crazy. This is much too early". Even when I've been pregnant I haven't gotten a BFP until at least 12 'dpo' (hard to calculate dpt, since I've done 3 and 5 day transfers). So today was only 4dp5dt.... hopefully I'll see my BFP on Sunday at 7dp5dt... but I'll still POAS tomorrow morning!

Ryann - I love your PMA - reminds me of the beginning of my journey. We were told we needed IVF after almost a year of TTC on our own (I don't ovulate regularly, so we knew we had problems early on - but DH's SA is what told us only IVF/ICSI would help us). I didn't understand why people bitched about infertility/IVF. It wasn't so bad. Yeah, the injections and the SnS sucked, but I got pregnant with twins the first time. Now that I've been around the block (repeat losses, repeat failures)I just hate it so much more. I hope you never end up a bitter-old vet like me - I hope NOONE does.... Keep giving us that PMA - hopefully it'll rub off on me!

Katie - I wish I had some words of wisdom about how many to transfer. I transferred 2 three day embryos my first IVF and got pregnant with fraternal twins. We lost them at 22 weeks and don't have al ot of answers. What would have happened if that had been a singleton pregnancy? Would I still have lost my baby? So we started doing SETs... and had a few BFNs and finally a BFP this summer. My singleton passed away at about 8 weeks into the pregnancy. So now we are back to DET.... desperate to get pregnant as our twins' 1st birthday in heaven comes up...

A few other women on this board have had problems with twins. Angela (who is due any day now with her rainbow) lost a daughter at 21 wks after complications of a miscarried twin. Karen (the scorpio) lost her twins at 23 wks due to preterm labor.... (both got pregnant from SETs after their losses).....then again - plenty of women have healthy twin pregnancies and plenty of women have problems and losses with singleton pregnancies.... no easy answers....

Layla -when is your transfer?

AFM - ugh.... just one more week untl my beta. Why do I feel like a prisoner waiting for an execution? Hopefully I'll be surprised with good news.
