I still cannot wrap my head around it! This absolutely proves how much things can change in a week! When we went last week we saw one sac and no yolk sac, I was 5w4d. It measured 7mm ( a little low for what I read). Low and behold that today there is not only a heartbeat but two heartbeats. Really my OB looked everywhere before and there was nothing besides one sac. That just goes to show how there is hope!

angelaezra wrote:Peonies – There is always room for hope! I will be induced in less than two weeks with my miracle daughter and as you can read by my signature, I have lost so many babies prior to her. But, with this current pregnancy, my betas didn’t even come close to doubling in neither 48 hours nor 72 and I was told that they were concerned by my RE’s nurse that I could miscarry. Now I am a nurse too so I did appreciate the candor but of course I was in tears! Well, I had all but convinced myself that I was going to lose yet another pregnancy after trying for 10 years to have just one child. But, it all worked out for the better. I repeated my betas every 48 hours for two weeks and my beta numbers finally started doubling as time went on. Later my RE said he thought that I had a good pregnancy because my progesterone levels were through the roof and that is usually a good sign but all I heard was “we are little concerned” and immediately thought the worse! So the point to my story is to remain positive … I know that it is hard but I am praying for you!

Rio – I am sorry to hear that you were concerned after your u/s. I want you to remain positive too because I am sure everything will be fine.

Congratulations Angela!! :D :D You baby girl will be here any day, right? Do you know how much yr betas were? Also, you mentioned that yr progesterone levels were through the roof, do you know what the numbers were? Mine is 58 ( I am 4w3d) Thanks again for sharing your success story! It means a lot!

Rio that is great news! Imagine that twins! I wish you all the best.

Unfortunately things don't look good for me. I had my follow u/s today (should be 6w5d) and they couldn't find a heartbeat and the embryo was small. More importantly I was told the yolk sac is too big and it is a miscarriage. I was given an option to do a D&E or go natural and with the holiday approaching I decided to just go ahead with the D&E and waiting until Friday. I want a confirmatory u/s before. I've read a lot of stories about misdiagnosed miscarriages, but it seems all of them about large yolk sacs are not a good sign. Chromosomal issue most likely I was told. I'm just crushed. Part of me is hoping when I go in on Friday there will be a big change. Who knows right?

Peonies - I am so sorry. I completely agree with you with a confirmation US, strange things and miracles happen everyday, I am hoping yours is one of those, fingers crossed! Big huge hugs. I also heard stories of people not seeing the HB until 7.5 weeks.

Wow, congrats! I don't come on here for a little while, and you go and make another baby ;) ! Enjoy your wonderful pregnancy :)

Peony-
Hoping to hear good news soon. I have heard many women who've had bleeding throughout their pregnancies. May the very worst be that you get waited on hand and foot while you are on bedrest :) . All the best!
