December Transfers??

Hi All -

Out of the 17 eggs retrieved 13 matured & fertilized - 1 is moving along slowly but we still have hope - 2 didn't fertilize & 1 never matured. We were told with those numbers that we would make it to the 5DT on Monday we are praying we get another update on the Saturday - but I am sure I will call at some point tomorrow for an update

Leorira - Thanks for the words of wisdom I agree with you I think it is a crap shoot and you just can never tell - I have two friends who had 2 ET and in both one survived to full term & 1 absorbed back into the body before 5 weeks. And then I have one friend who both never made it so I think you are right it can happen both ways but thank you.

Dahlias - hang in there! You & I are sort of in the same boat I thought my eyeballs would pop out of my head while I was waiting for the day after report! I am rooting for you

Rypell - I am going with BFP - your pee was watered down the second time around! Yay!!!!!

Thanks again Ladies - I am on pins & needles but feeling better after today and feel like I might actually get some sleep tonight or at least I hope I do - babydust to all and to all a good night

Katie..13 fertilized is great! You will be able to freeze some most likely. I didn't have enough to freeze unfortunately.. But I'm glad you're more at ease now.. Yay!!

Ryann. I too agree its definitely a BFP!!! You didn't have a trigger.. I read about your heightened sense of smell... I think your preggo girl...Yeah!!

I'm just on the 2WW train just like many of you...wondering if i'll give in and buy any hpts over the weekend. If I do..I don't plan on using them until at least a week from now (im only at 6dpo at this point..i think..3dp3dt). Oh I dunno. Perhaps i'll wait till then to buy them so I don't get tempted.

rypell1985 - you are SOOOO pregnant! well done to you! the second one was just not enough time for your HCG levels to build up (since its still early days...once beta day hits...you can pee and pee again and they will be BFP as the HCG levels are high enough in your system then)....DO ANOTHER one tomorrow for us!!! YEAH

I hope get preggers too as I too had a Day 3 7 cells and 8 cells like you!

OK...here's my Day 4 report....a little good, a little sad:

1 x embryo stopped growing
2 x embryos are 8 cells
2 x embryos are at morula stage (10-30 cells)

We are set for tranfer of 2 blastocysts tomorrow at 7.45am......SO PLEASE PRAY that my 2 "outstanding" embryos (as my embryologist tells me) grow overnight to EXCELLENT blastocysts!

Cshell - I am with you I am going to hold out as long as humanly possible so I can get the best result possible and not be excited then being disappointed I will keep you all in my prayers & be begging you all for support to not test too early on my 2ww starting Monday!

I am working on my signature but don't know how to get the ticker to show the embie stage but when I put stuff in it just shows pregnant so i guess that is just what it is going to show & hopefully it will give me good luck!

I am also 5dp5dt (10"dpo" like Ryann) but I'm still getting BFNs on my HPTs. Oh well.... in the past I've only gotten BFPs after 12"dpo"... so hopefully on Sunday.

Layla - I hope your excellent mourlas turn out to be fantastic blasts! So transfer day is today then, huh? (I'm a few hours ahead of y'all).... good luck!

Katie - I wish I could hold out longer! The BFNs, even though I know I'm too early, are quite depressing. But then there are people who get BFPs so early (see our friend Ryann) - which make me hope every time that that will be me! It comes down to risking disappointment, but hoping to be one of the earlier BFPs.
As for 1 vs 2 - we could have transferred both of these blasts and still get a BFN. It really is a crap shoot. Sorry!

Mishell - yes the 2ww sucks. With a 5dt, my 2ww feels shorter, but it's really just as long.... You are definitely too early. Wait another week (but clearly, I don't practice what I'm preaching!)

Dahlia - so you should be getting your fert report on Saturday, with a transfer on Sunday? I hope it's all good! They won't even tell you how many fertilized?

AFM - big fat depressing negative on the HPT this morning. Hoping and wishing that I'm just too early. We are out of town for the weekend, but I'll be back and POAS on Sunday!

leorira11 - I don't ever get BFPs until 12dpo as well..and its faint! so dont stress! With my DD, i tested 11dpo and it was negative....12dpo it was faint positive, 13dpo, faint but clearer, 14dpo clear....and by beta day on 16dpo, my beta levels were 747!! so even at 11dpo it should have been positive (working backing on it doubling every 48-72 hours)....BUT nature works in mysterious ways.

Test again on Sunday when you get back....see if you see that faint line! hang in there

Well.....ET is officially 9.75hrs from now! Its 10pm Friday 10th here in Sydney, Australia! ET is Saturday at 7.45am....thanks for your good wishes...i hope they grow to be strong blastocysts too....im a little nervous....

Well I really think I got that rare false positive....this morning I took another digital and the one with the 2 lines and both have nothing....what the hell? DH was right...I shouldn't have gotten so excited yesterday until I had a little more confirmation. I know it's still early, but that sucks.

ryann - did u do it first thing in the morning? and did you use the same brand, i noticed u used First Response which is very sensitive. Maybe you used a less sensitive brand!!!!

let me know!!! thinking of you...keep positive....THERE ARE NO FALSE POSITIVES!!!! it says so on all the pregnancy packets! false negatives yes, but no false positive as HCG must be present in ur urine in order for the test to be positive!!!!

Katie - Your fert report is awesome!!!

I talked to my IVF Coordinator yesterday and she explained that no news from the embryologist is good news at my clinic. That put my mind at ease somewhat. I think we will likely hear from our RE today since my transfer is scheduled for tomorrow morning!!!!! We will need to decide how many to transfer once we know the quality. I'm planning no more than two, but you just never know. We are also doing assisted hatching. I'm freaking out... don't know how I'm going to make it through the day!

AFM....Well I was going nuts after my BFN this morning after a BFP yesterday, so I stopped and got E.P.T.s and POAS at lunch time... I'm posting a pic. I know the line is super faint, but it's there, right???? The preggo line is supposed to form a plus sign...do you see it????

OK ladies - we transferred one beautiful hatching blastocyst and one equally beautiful early blastocyst. It wasnt yet the full 5 days growth time yet....so Im really hopeful about the hatching blastocyst! ...and the early blastocyst will be a full blastocyst in a few hours whilst its back inside me....

ALSO - apparently the slow growers yesterday are still growing,...they are watching one they liked closely which is at morula stage. If it becomes a blastocyst tomorrow, they'll freeze it.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO...now im in the 2ww.........now im nervous.
