Leora...it's 8:30am on Sunday here, so I totally just rolled out of bed. I know you don't want us to be nice, but that's kind of all I can do right now. You just HAVE to hold out a little bit of hope. I have been obsessing about googling about pregnancy tests and from what I can tell, people test differently with each pregnancy. You can be realistic if it will make you feel better, but I'm going to keep praying for your babies and keep everything crossed until you get a beta. Big hugs Hun.

afm- sorry Ive not done personals, Ive just started feeling better last night. Ive had this nasty flu and
omg it wasnt pretty! I had my blood work and lining check on Friday and everything looks perfect.
Im so thankful! DH was nervous about giving me my first progesterone shot last night and so I didnt
want to get stressed after feeling so crappy this week so omg I gave it to myself in my leg. UGH!!
Yes its black and blue this morning and hurts like hell but no pain no gain... So my transfer is Thursday
and so I"ll make my 3 1/2 hour drive and hopefully my lone blast will make the thaw. Im looking at this
realistically and going into this transfer knowing that the numbers arent high and that for my age I
really should be transferring 2 but hey 1 is better than none! Thinking and praying for you all! More later....

Hey everyone! We had SNS yesterday. Looks like we have 17 follicles between 14mm-18mm and my Estradiol level was 1163. One more scan Monday morning, trigger shot monday night, and then ER wednesday morning. Im nervous!!!! Can I hear some tips or tricks or GOOD stories about the retreival part? Thats the only part that bothers me. Thanks!!!

Hi ladies! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! It's great to see our BFP list growing, woohoo!! We've got a lot of betas coming up this week and then our fall cycle list really starts to wind down to just the last few ladies finishing their cycles. I don't think anyone has started the Winter Cycle Group thread yet, so if you'll be cycling in Jan/Feb/Mar feel free to start one so people can start joining.

Chelle - How did ER go today? Post when you can to let us know how it went.

Kelly – Sorry you’re going into ER feeling sad. I’m hoping those 4 follies each have a beautifully mature egg in them and maybe there will even be extras that were hiding out. I only have one ovary but I had 7 follies, 5 eggs, and 3 fertilized. Good luck tomorrow and let us know how it goes!

Margi – I’m so sorry you’re going through this! That just pisses me off! You’re spending all of this time, money, and emotional energy on these IUI cycles – the least they could do is take care of you and not just brush you off. Again, I’m sorry and I’ll be hoping that you haven’t ovulated yet.

Leora – I’m sorry those sticks are still stark white. I’m still hoping you’re going to get your BFP on beta day.

Heather – Glad your b/w & lining check were good! Will be hoping all goes well with your frostie and that Thursday’s transfer is a success.

Ginger – YAY for having your ER date set and wow for lots of follies! I don’t have any tips for ER day – it was all pretty easy on my end. They knocked me out, I woke up and they told me how many eggs I got, DH & I got breakfast on the way home, and I slept for awhile (was still groggy from the anesthesia.) So good luck on Wednesday and let us know how it goes!

Amanda I just wanted to thank you for keeping up our list and doing such an amazing job. My beta is this Thursday so if its a no I guess I will join one of the other boards as will most of us I imagine. Enjoy your pregnancy and we will be crashing the pregnancy boards to cheer you girls on.

Leora I am sorry your hpt's are still evil to you. I am with the other girls though it may still be early. On the other hand you yourself mentioned that you always get pregnant from a fresh cycle so maybe you should not take a break but do a fresh cycle instead. I have not been able to take a break because I am already so busy and yet the desire to have a baby never leaves my mind so for DH and me it seems there is no choice but to keep pressing forward. I wish I had better words of encouragement. I am with you the period between 12dpo and 14 is the hardest for me because I always feel like al should have already seen a positive. I have never been able to figure out how to make the evil 2ww any easier. I am sending you a huge hug. You are in my thoughts and prayers and you WILL HAVE A BABY I am sure of it and if not this cycle then the next fresh. You have been pregnant twice and so I am sure you will have a baby really soon. Please do not give up hope. PM me if you need to talk I too just had a bfn FET after a summer miscarriage and a long wait for my betas to come down and I know the pain and its awful.
However it still is truly too early to give up on this cycle

Margi I am so mad at your clinic they just make me sick. I am praying really hard that you don't ovulate and that this cycle is it for both of us cause God knows we so deserve it already!!! Hugs

Ryan I am so happy for your bfp and I can't wait to hear your beta

AFM I did two back to back massive Choral concerts Friday and Saturday night and on top of it I had a pretty huge falling out with my parents although they have called and apologized which is nice but sometimes the was they talk to each other and me is so disrespectful and I am simply not used to it any more so I am drained both physically and emotionally. My choir preforms complex choral pieces and we are all professional musicians who have chosen to do other things for our career so it is nice to still return to music often. We sang Handel's Messiah both Fri and Sat and now I feel like I could sleep all day. My beta is Thursday and I promise to keep you all posted on any positive developments

ER went well (thanks for asking Amanda) 16 Eggs !

I was in a lot of pain before with cramps, bloating, and pressure last night and after ER I still have a lot. Kind of difficult to walk or take a deep breath. This should go away soon I hope.

Chelle - That's a lot of eggs, woohoo! And hoping for a great fert report tomorrow. I'd suggest to keep the gatorade going & eat some salty foods to combat OHSS. And definitely call your doc if it's difficult to breathe - fluid from OHSS can be really dangerous, especially if it gets near your lungs. A couple ladies on our thread have been hospitalized from it in the past so be sure to report all symptoms to your doc.

txcpl - great number of follies! The retrieval part is not bad at all, don't worry yourself, you get under so you wake up and it is done, it doesn't hurt. Don't worry!

Heather - I hope you feel better soon, you poor thing!

Bakers - oh my, I am so sorry. Did they trigger you too early? It only takes one good one! It really does depend on the woman, the RE and the meds. With your 1st cycle they are trying to figure you out. How many antral follicles did you have? Were you on a very high dose of meds? How long did you stimm for? My #2 IVF I had 6 follicles and 6 eggs, I think the norm is 70% ratio follies to eggs but you can have 100%. If they are all mature then they should fertilize. GOod luck and fingers crossed for you!

Chelle what a great retrieval number. Even though they didnt get that many out of me... I remember how sore I was for about 5 days after er. It gradually subsided and I hope it doesn't take that long for you. Well... Can't wait to hear your awesome fertilization update!! Yay!

Chelle: Excellent retrieval!! Now take it easy--and chug the Gatorade.

Leora: I am hoping and praying that you get that BFP...it is still definitely possible. Hold onto hope, don’t throw in the towel quite yet!....I am sending you tons of baby dust. Regarding whether to take a break or not if this doesn’t work? For me--obviously no option to even consider a “break”. But the only way I think it would make sense would be if you had something to work on--like taking DHEA, or working on increasing DHs counts, but if everything is “fine” I think emotionally it would be easier to keep forging forward. You seem to have more positive energy with Fresh cycles, so maybe jumping into one would be what you need. But everyone is different. Do what feels right to you and DH. But for now...think positive thoughts about THIS cycle..

Anna: What can I say? Family can be soooo difficult at times. It is just especially hard to deal with when you are dealing with what you are right now. Try to keep some emotional distance from the drama. It isn’t healthy. Glad that you have your music to get you some distraction and positive outlet. Hoping for your BFP--definitely keep us all posted with your POASing.

Txcpif (Ginger): Sounds like a great SnS report!! Trigger tomorrow--woohoo...you are on your way to ER!! No worries...you are knocked out for ER. Just want to take it easy afterwards.

Rio: Yes, we will be BDing as soon as I get off the computer. LOL. Hard to be “romantic” under these circumstances...in fact I have been pushing vitamins and fluids to poor DH all weekend as we are assuming IUI will be Tuesday. Don’t want to do TMI--but he is going to need lots of swimmers ready over the next few days. I can't thank you enough for your support over this crazy weekend.

Margi - Good luck tomorrow!!! Yes I did POAS today. 7dpo and BFN. I think I will wait til Tues or Wed and try again.

I had a F/U with RE on Thursday. I told him I bd'd before he told me not to. Lie! He laughed!!! He said it will be funny if it worked and it's a singleton or twins. At least he knows now! My stupid INS needs 3 day blood again! So if AF comes I go in and then start pill. Next cycle will be in January now! My blood count # was only 28 Thursday too....crazy!

Thanks Margi - When I tell people that I feel like I want to jump back into it (like my mom or my in-laws) they think I'm crazy. Thanks for the reassurance that, if I'm crazy - at least we are all crazy together. BTW, I can't believe it's taking that package so long to get there! I paid for 2-3 day shipping on TUESDAY! ugh. I'm sorry! I could have SWAM the freaking Atlantic Ocean by now!

Chelle - great retrieval! I had 18 eggs at my last retreival - we got 3 blasts (but we have severe MFI and use ICSI, which can decrease the number of fertilized). keep us updated on your fert report!

Klinger/Kynlee - about mom's being pregnant the same time as their daughters - I think it's cool too - but my big fear is that my mom will get 'oops' pregnant and I'll be killing myself with the IVF. My mom is now engaged (getting married this summer) and she suggested to her fiance that they just get pregnant and give the kid to me (my mom has always been a fertile myrtle)... I really hope my mom doesn't get pregnant before I do! (they don't want more kids.... but neither did my mom and dad and I still have a youngest brother!)

Anna - the 12-14dpo is really THE WORST! Ugh. I have had 3 cycle buddies get BFPs (Ryann and two pen-pals)... UGH. I want mine! I agree that the BFNs after a loss are the worst. I keep thinking that I should really be 23 weeks pregnant - or have 8 month old twins..... oh well.... The biggest fear is another loss.... I can't wait to hear about your BFP though!
and you sing too! yay! I love singers! I sing with an amateur opera company (mostly - also other stuff). I love it. I just wish I would stop being pregnant so that I could be cast in a role! I was 6 weeks pregnant for auditions.... so I'm standing in the back of our current show... oh well....

Heather - I'm glad you are feeling better and I hope that your frostie makes the thaw! 3.5 hours is a long drive, can you call along the way to make sure the frostie made it? Otherwise, that's a really long drive for no reason....

Ryann - clearly I forgot that Sunday is weekend in the USA! Of course y'all should be sleeping late! Okay - it's 9am on Monday here.... I have quite a few more hours until y'all wake up.

DH and I were talking about what to do if this really is BFN (which I think it is).... I think that I will set myself a weight loss goal and as a reward, I'll do another cycle. Some small weight loss (like 15 or 20 lbs) but using IVF as a goal so that I really push myself to do it... that way I have a break and I still feellike I'm working toward having a baby.... (ftr, I'm about 185lbs). If I decide to that.... MAKE ME STICK WITH IT
