To wax or not to wax'

Post by Fiona L »

This is a really silly question and I do know the answer but I though I would see if anybody has any other thoughts. If you are newly pregnant would it do any harm to have your bikini line waxed? (Told you it was silly.) I hate having it done, find it very painful and scream the place down but i hate not having it done more.

Should I just bite the bullet or buy bigger knickers?????

I dont know anything about anything
But surely you are fine to wax - I mean how could it possibly harm you? Appart from the obvioous off course -OUCH!!!!!!!!!! I'd go for it though.

Whilst we're on cosmetics - having my highlights done today - do we think thats okay??

Hi Fiona

I had mine done in the first three months (my sister did it for me) and it did me no harm. But before i went on holiday i got mine done and i was six and half months and the lady that done it said they like you to get permission from the midwife in the first three months and the last three months as it is so close to that region. Never heard of it before and i think if there was any danger it would be written in a book somewhere. As you hear of people getting it done before they are due. I know i will be. Once you get bigger there is not much they can get at anyway (if you know what i mean).

Caz-highlights etc are fine. That is my sisters nickname it feels weird writing it down.

hi fiona

I'm a waxing queen and I had it done all the way through my pregnancy. I even did it to myself when I was trapped and imprisoned in the hospital!!Its perfectly safe. However, after you've give birth you need to wait until after your 6 week check just in case you fiddle with any stitches!!!

Hi Fiona,
I've had it done several times until now, I just ask them to be careful, last time was at 19 weeks and quite ok, no distrubance there at all. Go ahead and do it!
