I will do personals and meet/greet everyone tomorrow--just wanted to pop in and wish Leora good luck on Beta tomorrow. I am really hoping and praying for a BFP for you.


AFM: I am going in for IUI in the morning!! Wish us luck...and then we will be BDing while.

Then the 2ww will begin. And I am a POAS addict--I'll admit that up front.

Thanks again Leora for getting things rolling!! Looks like lots of folks have joined up.

AFM - went this morning for my beta. Only 9dp5dt, but I can't wait anymore with the negative HPTs. I'm a bad person

Of course, the phlebotomist was late, it took 6 (SIX!) needle pokes to get some blood and I was late for work... but oh well. Details about the beta later....

Stephanie, good luck with your first IVF! This will be my first one as well! DH and I are going to an IVF class this Thursday where I get to learn how to self-inject (yippee)! Not that it's going to help me much; I'm a nurse myself, so I know how to inject, but self-inject? gulp.. anyway, good luck on your first IVF journey!

Jayme, good luck on your ER! Lots of baby dust to you!

SD, I think we're going to be pretty close together on our cycles.

Lyd10, it does seem eons away, right? I'm with you on that one. I'm going to be trailing a few days behind you after my AF arrives.. I'm estimating early Jan, but I can never be too sure. Congrats on your 9 month old!

Swaters2815. I see your also from Mass. If you don't mind my asking where abouts? I live in Boston but I'm going to a center by my office on the North Shore since with all the blood /ultrsounds it's easier. Good luck with your cycle!

LD10 my ccyle is do about the same time as yours. My doctor oddly is having me start lupron on the 23 when my cyle is due on the 29. Weird. I can't do BCP so maybe that's why.

Jayme good luck on your ER.

It's really nice to have others to talk to that are going through the same thing. No one except the ones going through it understand. This process is no walk in the park.

I'm sure I forgot some but it will take me a while to get in the swing of things on this board.

Did you make it to the hot springs at Tabacon? Hard to know what to do about that $$ issue…it is always the dilemma. Whatever you decide will be the “right” decision and we will be cheering you on!

I so wish I had found this board on my first go-round with IVF instead of my 3rd. (Not that you will need 3 tries!)

Stephanie: Welcome! Don’t worry about the injections—they aren’t nearly as bad as you think they will be. And with time you’ll get to be a pro. My first 2 cycles I made DH give me every shot—and he is phobic. But—it was worse on him then it was on me, so I did the rest (except for PIO-shudder.) Now, I don’t even think about it. Heck—I triggered myself in my car on the side of the road yesterday! Just like an drug addict-lol. Swab. Stick. Dispense. My RE would probably have a heart attack if he knew.

Jayme: Welcome. Another 1st timer! This is the perfect place—you are no longer alone! ER is not painful—you are asleep for it. No worries there. Keep in touch and feel free to ask any question at all. Nothing is “off limits” here.

Welcome back! I can imagine how hard it must have been not talking about ttc at all but I am sure you had a great time. Everyone always tell Dh and I that we should visit Costa Rica ( we are big into traveling) Was it paradise? Do you have pics?

I can't believe I was posting at 9:47 and my IUI was at 10:00. Good thing their office isn't far from mine! Well--I am officially: (although technically--I should really wait for that status until tomorrow after we know that I have ovulated. If anyone wants to be technical. )

Thanks Ryann, Anna, Kat, "Hope" and nwquiz on the well wishes. All went super!

I just know that I am ready and waiting for my BFP!!! DH did "great": 14 million with 98% excellent motility and 2% good motility. We will BD tonight to help "cover" things...and maybe again tomorrow--just to be sure? It is weird to be able to BD after IUI when I was so used to none of that with IVF. Anyway, I am hoping and praying that this cycle will be the cycle for me. I am setting aside all my worry and upset regarding these last few days and am ready to focus on making these follies (soon to be embies) very comfortable and loved! Even the dingbat of a nurse with wrong information today—couldn’t get me down!! My plan is to work quietly at my desk for the next hour...then sneak out to go to my acupuncturist and then home for relaxing evening with DH. No stress of any kind allowed right now. Technically I am on call tonight--but I am sending every vibe I have to keep the on-call phone quiet....since folks at work don't know we are ttc I don't have a good excuse to get rid of the phone. It is just one more night and tomorrow I give it up.

I am fully armed with HPTs. How many of you ladies on this thread are addicted to the stick?

Margi...CONGRATS!!!! Way to keep those relaxed, positive vibes going! In case there was any doubt that I am addictied to the stick...here is mine from this morning. I have 1 more left for tomorrow morning, then I guess I really have no reason to POAS anymore after BETA, huh? It will be weird to wake up and just pee....hmmm. And take a good look at my BFP, because yours will be like that in 2010! I can feel it!!!! Oh...and have fun BDing!!!!!!
