I was able to see the OB today. I came away from this appointment feeling very discouraged. The spot that the RE thought could either be another sac or and SCH is an obvious SCH now. It's grown since yesterday, but a large amount. It's 3.5 cm long by 1cm wide. So there will likely be more bleeding. Also, we don't see anything in the sacs. At one point we thought we might see a little flicker in one of them, but even the yolk sac that I saw yesterday in one of them isn't there. He wasn't encouraged by what he saw. I know how quickly it can turn around, I've been there in that place. When they told me I had nothing there 12 years ago, and now I sit looking at my 11 year old daughter, I know they can be wrong and a lot can change in just a week. I am worried, and there will be more bleeding, and at this point nothing in the sacs...I am praying that it's still early, and we will see something Monday...I can't imagine how both sacs could be empty, especially from 2 textbook perfect embryos. Hoping for the best.

Mellow - how far along are you today? I am so sorry to hear you are so stressed and upset. I was there last week and I know that very well. Was a vaginal scan? How clear was it? When I was googling, it seemed the yolk sac sometimes doesn't appear until 6 weeks, the fetal pole can be as late as 6.5 weeks. Check out the is there still hope in the IVF forum, someone there didn't see anything until 7 weeks and now has a fine pregnancy. Please try to stay positive and pray for your beans. You have a libing example in your daughter. Take it easy and get some rest. You have to wait until Monday? Yickes, I am sorry. Sending you healthy baby dust!

Thanks Rio. I was 6 weeks yesterday. It was much more clear today than yesterdays at the RE, and he measured the sacs..They were measuring different..one at 7 weeks and the other 6w3d. The larger one was the one we thought we saw a flicker in...but nothing to measure to it was hard to tell.

Hello ladies I just wanted to drop by and ask if any of you experienced extreme hunger really early on. I am usually a very picky eater and even reaching 1200 calories a day is always a stretch for me but now...I mean the past 3 days I feel like I am constantly starving!!!! Is this normal so terribly early on?

God willing I will be joining you ladies soon

Mellow - Isn't it a good thing if the sacs were measuring big? Are you still bleeding or has it stopped? Can you ask your RE for an US on Friday for reassurance? I don't know if I can wait until monday ;) !!! Hoping this is just one of those silly scares we got through on IVF!

Annas - I have the hunger now but not that early on, you need to eat a little all the time :) I cannot wait for your beta!

AFM - passing time until my big 1 1/2 hr appt with my OB on Friday, why 1 1/2 hrs I have no idea. I have a ton of questions to ask and praying that everything is going really well...

We had our 12 week OB visit/ultrasound today. I'm still stunned... I had no idea that the baby would be so active. The baby moved the entire time - back flips, jumping up and down, arms and legs moving, mooning us, etc. It was easily the most amazing thing that I have ever seen.

Our gender scan is scheduled for 01/19/10.

Barbara - gorgeous baby!!!!!!!!!! How incredible he/she was putting up a show for you!!!!

Anyone heard of intelligender? Supposedly you pee in a cup and tells you (with large margin of error) if it is boy or girl at 10 weeks.

Rio a friend of mine used one last year and it was right, she had a boy....it's 50/50 though, so it should be right 50% of the time :) Great odds haha.

Happy Bunny, beautiful baby! Isn't that the best thing ever to see! What a beautiful little blessing. :)

I was *starving* early on... my eating has slowly levelled off, but I was one hungry hippo until about a week ago when I started to not need massive amounts of food. Luckily I've only gained 2 lbs!

Mellow I'm glad the bleeding is what we thought it was... as for the sacs, it's too early.. I've heard way too many stories of things turning around for you to think anything for sure. When is your next ultrasound... a million years away, right? Keep us posted we are SO here for you.

I just have to say, DH & I are loving our doppler! The heartbeat was in the mid 150's again last night when we used it. God, I love that sound!! Tomorrow I go see the MFM for an OB check and hopefully firm up the surgery plans. Really hoping we get another peek at the little one too. I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow so if we do have an u/s, we should be able to distinguish a lot more than we saw last time.

And I'm now rejoicing in the fact that I am done working for the year...ahhhhhh...I love long vacations!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Sonya & Rio - thanks for putting together the intros and the list!!
