Tammy - congrats on your BFP - I'm sure those numbers are rising just fine if you are relaxing and staying away from the germs - looking forward to your beta update tomorrow too!

Leora and Krys - sorry to hear about your BFNs - it totally sucks and isn't fair. I hope you can take a break from the stress of all of this and enjoy your holidays. You will get your BFPs in 2011!!!

BakersBaby - congrats on your 5 embies - that is VERY exciting that you could possibly have a 5 day transfer instead of 3! Rest up these next few days so your body will be ready for your babies!

Margi - love that you are stocked up and ready to POAS - you gotta wait at least a few days

AFM - my beta isn't until 12/20 (IUI was 12/5). I'm starting to get tempted to POAS but want to hold out a few more days so there will be a better chance that I will get positive results - I think I will try to wait until Sat if I don't cave in sooner! With how busy we have been getting ready for Christmas and traveling, my 2 ww has been going by relatively quickly. My DH and I have been discussing what is next for us if this cycle doesn't work out. We may try 1 more IVF cycle a few months out or we may change gears and start getting things in process for an adoption. We are just so ready to have a family and I don't know that emotionally I am going to be able to deal with too many more BFNs, holidays, mothers days, etc without making progress towards that. Still holding out hope that I will have an early Christmas gift on Monday!

AFM Yesterday was kind of a stressful day, I went to a different lab to get my beta done since is near my house, I got my results and it was only 524!!! What! My heart sank, but this lab did a mistake once (yes I know stupid me for going there again) so since I was so stressed out I immediately went to the same lab I went on Saturday and results were 1702!! So I went today to a different lab just to validate that the 524 was wrong and the 1702 was right, and the results were 2439, phew... Now the 2ww for the ultrasound.
Thanks to all the brave ladies in this forum, this is a great source of support,

Sorry for being MIA. I have been miserable the past 4 days. Not sure if it's just pregnancy or the drugs....but it's been bad. It started Sat morning. DH gave me my morning PIO. It actually didn't hurt and seemed normal. By late afternoon, my ass was swollen. I had a knot the size of a baseball. It hurt so bad that I could barely walk. Even sitting, my ass just throbs. That night, I slept none. Sunday, no sleep either. I couldn't even roll over in bed. Sunday and yesterday I have been queasy. Not wanting to eat anything, but feeling like if I didn't I would hurl. I actually slept last night. I was so tired that I went to bed at 10:30. I got up at 7:30. Took Hannah to school and to the clinic to get my PIO. I talked to the nurse about it and she said that it's a common complaint. I came home and went to sleep on the couch at 9am and woke up at noon to the phone ringing. I finally feel a little better and thought I would say hello and give an update. I have so much reading to catch up on. I have an appt in the morning for an u/s. Hoping to see a heartbeat.

Tammy.....Congrats on the BFP! Praying that it doubles.

Ryan.....Can't wait to hear beta numbers!

Ryan - Congratulations on your beta !! WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH!!!

AFM - I had to take a couple of days off from all the IVF stuff. So sorry I was MIA. Several people asked what I am going to do with the girl embryos. Well I thought about that when we first started this. I thought about donation of the embryos, however I have a hard time with the idea that my husband I's child would be roaming this earth and I'd have no idea. I really didn't like that option. Discarding them was completely out of the question because its non benefitial. We decided that we would give the embryos for research and testing. Perhaps they can help discover something that would help couples down the road. I am really happy with that decision.

I told my husband I feel pretty numb about all this IVF. I am not excited one way or the other. I will know tomorrow what's going on with the PGD and if we are doing a transfer on Friday. I'm buying pineapple today just incase.

Ah Tammy i am so sorry big ((((((hugs))))) you have been thro. so much in the last few months go take some time off and enjoy xmas with Zach and Bill.

To everyone else who feels there is no hope please have a look at my signature, it took 7 ivfs and 2 miscarriages but our little miracle is 3 wks old today, i needed lots of meds to help my body finally accept a baby but it has been soooo worth it.
