Almost after a year and diagonised with Diabetes, I am back. Wanna try another cycle in Jan or Feb.
Got my latest AMH report and it reads: Very Low - Below 0.30. Dont know what to do? Both my previous IVF cycles i managed to make 4 - 6 eggs out of which 2 were tranfered on both the cycles. Still landed with BFN. Post that diagonised with Diabetes and now on Metmorfin.
Can someone suggest what do i need to do in order to get a successful cycle.
Hi Babyluv - I don't think there is anything you can do to change the AMH. It is kind of like FSH and measures your reserve. I think the biggest predictor to what you would produce if doing another cycle is your antral follicle counts. I have an AMH of .4 and I usually have at least 4 antral follicles. the odds aren't the best but it still can work. On another note, I have heard that the metformin can help out with egg quality. this is what I got from one of my dr.'s. If you have diabetes or insulin resistance, it messes with your hormones. Instead of having a estrogen environment in your ovaries, it tends to be more of a testosterone environment and testosterone is not good for egg quality. With the metformin it helps with the diabetes and hopefully levels out the hormone levels. don't know how much of this is true and I am sure you will find other dr's that have different opinions.
Good Luck!!
