Hello girls,

I'm from the fall group way back when the thread started. I probably won't do ivf untill the summer and that if all goes well with the second opinon on dec 21. If not then it's over for good for us.

I'm a stalker and check in everyday and read everyones post. Hahahaha
I just wanted to crash in and say:

Tammy: You r an inspiration. Your courage and determination has helped me fight this battle. U give me great hope and PMA. I have always secretly cheered u on. I'm so sorry that u r going through this again. I hope u don't give up.

(for anyone who doesn't know, I'm in Israel, which is about 7 hours ahead from the USA.... so it's 'tomorrow' here much earlier than y'all wake up!)

Chelle - what to do with the girl embryos is really hard... we had to discard one of our frosties that defrosted but wasn't good enough to re-freeze (and we were doing an eSET).... that was tough. No advice, just hugs.

Meinemo - welcome back! I stalked you on the Fall board (you were active before I started my FET). Hopefully Winter is the season for us!

Lou - welcome back! (Although, now that I've said that twice, I realize that noone actually wants to be here again, but alas). Yes... NUMBER SIX! Miscarriages suck - hopefully neither of us will do that again....

Karian - welcome back to you too! All of us failed Fall ladies will definitely be Winter BFPs.... I have to believe that. (and I like your Xmas color scheme!)

Tammy - there is nothing to say. I'm so sorry for you.

AFM - I usually do this at work, but I"m home today (no good reason, just BFN getting me down)... damn keyboard's #2 doesn't work well... not a good thing when it's DECEMBER (12). Oh well...

I'm just trying to figure out what happens next. Everyone in my life is telling me to take a break. No one realizes how hard that is. We are filling out the paperwork for domestic adoption.... there is supposedly a 6 year waiting list, and I'd like to get on that list (not giving up on IVF, just making sure all our options are open). Any advice on adoption paperwork? I know some of you have done it before.

Also - A very good friend of mine confided in me that she has POF (premature ovarian failure - she never got her period as a teenager - turns out that her ovaries don't really work. She is 26). They will have to find an egg donor (but they want to use her husband's sperm and she'll carry the pregnancy). I've been seriously considering offering to donate eggs to her. I know that finding a donor can be exceedingly difficult, and I know how hard this journey is. Maybe I can help a little bit. I know what I'd be getting myself into..... What do y'all think?

Ok girls I took the blood test and now we wait. I should have an answer by 3 pm est. I have butterflies

I am 14 dpo today and the test line is now darker than the control line. I think its dark enough for a good beta but as you all know having gone through beta hell the wait for the beta is terrifying.

I promise to do personals shortly right now I am too nervous and can't think straight

okay ladies just a quick update.i had my sns today and i have 2 follies at 10mm, 8,9 and the rest are small lagging behind on my right ovary. the left was not cooperative and so they did not measure any but the doc said there are a few a can see. well this is a different doc from the one i usually see. that sucks coz all he says is well come back saturday and lets see what next. heck my hubby says that is it for 244dollars?
congrats annashope you will get a strong beta. no worries on that one.

Hi ladies..I'm just popping in to check out the new WInter board and say hi. I hope you are all having a nice Thursday so far. Oh and I decided to wait until Saturday morning to POAS. That would put me at 15 dpo. I just dont want to get discouraged if i see a bfn. In the meantime..I keep thinking i am already pregnant..just so I can keep a PMA about the whole thing. Sending out tons of sticky babydust to everyone..even to all the names I am unfamiliar with.

Anna - that's great! I'm so excited for you! - just curious, why did you go straight to IVF without trying IUI first? (the IUI seems to have worked fantastically for you)

ps to everyone ----- pet peeve - but it really bugs me when people try to guess twins or not based on beta numbers.... when I was pregnant with twins, my beta was 450 at 17dpo (low for twins) and with my singleton it was 350 at 17dpo (high for singleton). You absolutely cannot tell from a beta number at all. Don't get peoples hopes (or worries) up about twins or not. There is absolutely NO way to tell until an ultrasound. Thanks.

Absolutely. Perfect. A solidly high number--I am sure a healthy strong embi-baby. DH must be besides himself.

Leora to answer your question we tried 4 cycles on clomid and all BFN's. 2 years ago my DH was very very sick and had to be on all sorts of terrible meds and his sample was pretty questionable. At the time they told us that he had 17 million all together with 10% motility and 10% normal morphology. After seeing 3 different RE's and all of them suggesting iui and then it was already over 2 years of ttc and so we thought we were hopeless. Also with my having had cervical cancer we felt time was of the utter importance. I barely got to keep my uterus because many docs immediately wanted me to have a hysterectomy once they saw it was cancer but I found a wonderful doc who did a new radical surgery which removes most of your cervix and thus saves your uterus. At the time I also have a TAC put in place. I suspected that DH's numbers could recover enough for an iui but after 4 failed ones and a constant fear that cancer would come back and I would loose my uterus we chose to hurry.

Personally I think this is a miracle.

As per twins I only saw 1 follie and so I doubt it but then again my mom is an identical twin so you never know. I would be so happy with just 1 healthy baby after being told 3 years ago when I had cancer that I should forget about ever having kids
