We are having a hard day. The RE saw me earlier, and found the SCH had grown significantly and detached one sac completely. The baby that had a heartbeat yesterday no longer does today. She said I am full of clots and will need to go to the ER if I start bleeding over the weekend. I can't find any words right now, but this year has been so full of pain. I am ready for the year to be done. I had hope that at least one of the babies would make it, but that little placenta just pulled away past the point of no return. I have no idea why this happened. I go back on Monday to see if there is any change, though we don't think there will be. The RE was very discouraged. My heart is broken.

Mellow... your intuition is very strong and you know your body. I'm so very, very sorry this is happening and you are forced to endure it. What is the RE going to do if the baby is not viable and you still have the clots and SCH? I really have no words of comfort, except that I understand how you feel and you are not alone. We are here for you. Big hugs, Mellow... :(

Dandme if you are able to I would definitely do the NT. They do a long US and ours with our son was so fun, he was doing backflips and putting on a show. The results of the NT scan are pretty good, it is the first BW that is very iffy, but important in case the baby has a defect incompatible with life. I am sure your bean is perfect and healthy in every way but it is fun to watch them!!! Thank you again for posting that US article about sizes at 33 to 36dpo, made me feel much better!
Not sure if I can get the NT scan to be honest. My doctor returns on the 29th. I can get the test done in Vancouver on the 21st but it will cost us well over $2000 with christmas airfare rates and the cost of the scan... plus flying on the 21st is difficult as I have to pick up my husband from the city two hours away the night of the 22nd. And have I mentioned I own my own business and this is our massively busiest time of the year? I did my bloodwork, and will call my clinic on Monday to talk to them, but knowing we'll find out if anything is horribly wrong by the 15th week anyhow... it doesn't make sense to spend that kind of money and time to be freaked out before christmas.

I'm just going to go with this as if it's a healthy, happy baby! My mom had two kids (including me!) in her late 30's with nothing wrong, and even the nurses at my doctor's office said tons of women don't bother with the testing now. If it were easier and more accessible I might go for it, but with these many hurdles... it's not looking that easy.. :(

Thank you so much for your support, it is amazing how much you can love a little person whom you never met and have only known of their existence for a week! I am happy for our one bean but I am mourning our other bean. At one point I thought the OB said he saw the HB, he really looked hard but it was not the clearest US. DH thought he said that too. But the baby even seemed smaller than the healthy baby and they were the same size last week. When I got dressed and was in his office he said he did not see a HB at all but wanted to make sure that that was the case on Thursday - he basically told me there is no hope for a viable pregnancy for that one baby. Again, your suport means a ton to us.

Mellow - I sent you a PM

I told the OB that I did want the testing because it's the practical thing to do, but in my heart, I'd rather not have the tests. I spent so much time worrying about this pregnancy in the beginning; now that I'm letting my guard down and starting to enjoy it, I don't want to worry about test results any more. I'm hoping that somehow the OB forgets about the test and doesn't send me to the specialist in time.

Sonya: I was told by my MFM doctor that the NF scan is done between 11 and 13 weeks. Not sure if that will buy you any more time? I had mine at 12 weeks. Thank god it all went well.

Stephanie: How are you feeling? Hope your MS is better.

Rio: my due date is 6/23, thank you for posting all of the due dates!

Are any of you going to find out the sex of your baby(s)? I think we will as I need to figure out who's going to share their room until our oldest leaves for college.
Our 10 y/o wants the babies in her room no matter what they are.

Have any of you purchased any baby items? I'm still afraid to, even though we need everything times 2. I will probably wait until at least the 24 week mark.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Oh Mellow my heart is broken for you. Big hugs my dear and I am hear as always if you want to talk. You are in my thoughts and prayers

I broke down and bought some maternity pants today... OMG, these pants are the most comfortable pants and they are stylish too! My other pants put so much pressure on my bladder that I felt like I had a UTI. If you are uncomfortable, do yourself a favor and don't wait - get comfortable pants!

Anna - Beautiful second beta!!!

Gina - MS is gone, thanks to the meds. However... the Zofran is causing pretty bad constipation (TMI). We had a baby group to go to last Monday to fill out pre-first prenatal visit paperwork. On one of the forms was a "gripe" box to put all the symptoms we had... Mine was full. LOL Everything from nosebleeds to extreme nausea. But I promise to goodness, I am NOT complaining even a bit :D

Bunny - YAY for comfy pants! Hubby's sweats have been confiscated at this point.

Rio and Mellow - You are both in my thoughts and prayers every day.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! 8)

Hi Ladies! I have been wanting to join this group, but have been hesitant because I was a little afraid....not of you ladies....just of being too comfortable. I have also been too tired and nauseated the past week. We are preparing to move to Northern California on Dec 29. I have been trying to do a little each day...nothing major....no lifting....just putting stuff aside for Goodwill and putting a few things in a box. Plus....DD had her last week at her school this week and there were lots of activities going on.

I am excited to continue to share in this journey with you wonderful ladies.

Ryann.......Congrats on your betas! Awesome numbers!!! :D

karin - So glad you joined us over here! When is your next u/s to see the little ones?

Barbara - I wholeheartedly agree! I switched over to maternity pants this weekend and couldn't be happier. I had a few pairs of hand-me-down maternity jeans and it was sooo much nicer to wear those than trying to squeeze into my regular jeans. And I love the maternity yoga pants & t-shirts at Target - ridicoulously comfortable!

Anyone have appointments this week? My next one is my NT scan on 12/27 so I'm going to enjoy a week with no appointments.
