Hi girls,

I just wanted to thank you all for the lovely messages you have sent me following out positive test on Friday and for all the support helping me to get this far. It still feels very unreal and I am just now counting the days until my scan on 11/6.

Hoping that all of you get success sooner rather than later.

Love Allison

Hi Alison,

How is it all going? I found out about my positive yesterday and I am still in shock. I keep saying out loud that I am pregnant but I don't think it has sunk in yet? I have my first scan on 23rd June, 5 weeks after ET. When is yours? Have you posted on the other side yet? I'm still a bit scared to but I have loads of questions. I keep wondering if there are 1 or 2 in there. I'd be over the moon either way but I guess I just need something to worry about! I am back to work tomorrow so that should make the time fly so I don't worry so much.

Anyway I hope you are doing well.

Hi girls,

Thanks again for your messages. I never thought I would get this far so its lovely to see them.

Shellie - I know what you mean. Its so hard to beleive it is really happening. I have only done a pee stick test so far and clinic say no need for blood tests etc but I really would rather have one just to be sure it is OK. My scan is next Friday only 4 wks from ET so a bit earlier than yours. I dont think I can believe it until I see it with my own eyes. I havent yet joined the other side for fear of tempting fate. I have had a prev m/c so not taking anythung for granted. Because of that I am fairly low key about the pg so far. How many goes have you had? Did you have IVFor ICSI?

Hi Alison,

I am one of the lucky ones to have reached this far on a first attempt at ivf. Technically they couldn't find a reason why I couldn't fall pregnant but after 2 years my endometriosis got so bad I had to go on the continuous pill to control it. I couldn't come off long enough to get pregnant. After one month off I'd end up in hospital in agony. So we were given the oppurtunity of IVF.

I went back to work today after the 2ww on leave. I couldn't believe how tired I was. I am too used to an afternoon nap! Do you have any symptoms? I have very tender boobs and crampings (which I have had from EC) they think the cramps are from the uterus growing to prepare for pregnancy and making the endo tender. 10 days after EC I have been having some nausea in the morning some days and in the afternoon on others. Nothing too bad, just noticable. I think I'm glad though at least it reminds me that I am pregnant!

Hope everything is well with you today.
Best wishes and think positive

Hi Shellie,

You sound as though you have been very lucky to conceive first time round. Did you get NHS treatment as well? I had began to think I would never get pregnant having had 3 previous negatives. All our tmts were private so money was an issue for us if we had wanted another go.

I worked all the way through my 2WW - I always have so although I was tired it was OK. I still feel very tired now and am just [raying that everything is OK. I think I am 5 wks today as the clinic tell me that you count 2 wks back from ET for the theoretical date of LMP but I would have thought that 2 wks before EC would be more accurate. My scan is next Friday - when is yours? I have been feeling a bit sick and my boobs are a bit tender as well but I'm fine with that. As you say it does remind you that something is happening.

Hope you are OK
Love Allison
