Anna~ Don't expect to see very much, 5 weeks is early, but you can hopefully see a sac in the right place. I hope you get some good news. :) I can't wait to see your update.

Thank you all for your support and the PM's to say you are thinking of me. I wanted to let you all know, we are waiting one more week, just to be certain...but we are pretty sure there will be no change. The bleed looked to have slowed, and surprisingly we could see the other sac again that looked to have been detached at the last ultrasound. Both sacs are still there, and there were no heartbeats in either. We only saw a heartbeat in one before, that had stopped, but never saw one in the other sac. The RE said there is room for a miracle, but she has only seen it one other time before. I've had one before myself. Anyway, we are waiting till monday to see and decide if I need to do a D&C again. We have a lot going on right now, so that makes it hard for me. It's even harder to still feel very pregnant, dizzy, tired, and super hungry, and my uterus is way above the pubic bone. They have me down to 1/2cc of PIO every other night, since my progesterone levels were sky high still. At this point it's a waiting game. I wish I had better news for Christmas this year. We really needed it, for all of us. 2 miscarriages, but 3 lost babies, and then the tremendous loss of my newborn son in April...I feel broken, but still full of hope. We have 3 frosties, we will try again likely in March, if I can muster up enough strength to do it again. I pray you all have better news this Christmas than we do....but, my heart is still very full of so much hope..after all if we don't have that, we have nothing.

riogirl71 wrote:Baby - blu - what do you do that you need to reach the steering wheel? :) So I have to ask, do you live with all 4 kids? Will this make Baby+DH+6 :) wow what a great wonderful and big family! Congrats on hearing the HBs, music to our ears!
I drive a city bus and I'm so big at 12 weeks that I'm only an inch and a half, MAYBE two inches from the steering wheel. I can move it up, but not far without making a dangerous situation with a 40 ft vehicle.

DH's kids live with their (UGH) mother and only visit every other weekend. However, at this point, his 16 DD is not speaking to us. Long story. It involves her loyalty lying with his ex-wife (who isn't their mom, by the way) and his ex manipulating his child. It's a very frustrating situation and my heart breaks for DH. My two live with us and visit their  father every other weekend.

We barely have room for the family we have now, so we have a general contractor coming out tomorrow to get an idea of how we can add on and the cost. I'm an avid watcher of HGTV and Holmes on Homes (a show about remodeling horrors caused by bad contractors) so I'm super nervous, but it must be done. I really do not want to move. What a hassle! :P

We had our NT scan today, babies looked GREAT! Baby A put on the show this time, bouncing around like I've never seen! So adorable!!! U/S tech said based on some tube's position near the genital area, she thought both babies were boys. Is it possible to tell this early??? MIL is Googling the bejesus out of it. She so badly wants a granddaughter! SIL has 3 boys (tied tubes after last one) and BIL is just recently engaged to a wonderful man. So me and DH are her last hope. I'm not convinced, though, I feel like the chances are still as good as flipping a coin. I'm guessing boy/girl. But what do I know? Any thoughts, ladies?

Mellow - I'm so sorry you are going through all of this.

Stephanie - So cool that the babies were putting on a show for you!

So my week of no doctor's appointments just got scratched. I've been spotting for the last few days but didn't worry too much about it since it was primarily brown and we've still hearing a h/b on the doppler. Today though when I woke up, it was red and more than spotting (more like a light flow) and a little bit of cramping. A couple hours later and it's back to just being brown spotting but I still don't know where it's coming from to pool up like that overnight. So I'm going to see the MFM at 1 today and see if they can tell where it's coming from. UGH, I hate how as soon as I start feeling super positive about this pregnancy, things like this happen.

Amanda - please post as soon as you can, I am sending healthy baby vibes and prayers that everything is just wonderful and this is one of those silly things to keep us on our toes. A lot of women spot and have healthy babies but I am glad you are getting checked out for yours and our peace of mind! Good luck!

Mellow I am glad you are waiting one more week. As Margi told me, we are the owmen that when told we have a 1% chance, we hang on to that 1% and we pray and hope that things go well. That's what we do in this IVF journey. Does your RE have a good sensitive US? I agree that before any talk of D&C you need to be very sure. Do your teenagers know now or are you still keeping it between you and DH? I am so sorry that you have been through so much, you have great strength and I am glad you are going to try with your frosties. I am thinking and praying for you!

Stephanie - I think it is really early to tell, some people say girl parts actually look like boys in the start. My OB said you can't be very sure but at 16 weeks you can tell. Wow, how cool you drive a huge bus! I can see not being able to do that for long. Sorry about the ex drama, I have a 14yo SD and same thing, loyalty to her lying mother and manipulating us to try and either take as much money away from us or make us miserable. it really is a tough situation, we have her 40% of the time.

Rio - thanks so much! Going from brown spotting to red "more than spotting" this morning really freaked me out. The doc's not sure where the bleeding/spotting came from, but the baby is doing great. I did stop my progesterone last week once I hit the 10 week mark so that could be a culprit. And that 2nd sac is still there (though it is getting a bit more squished out of the way by the main sac) so perhaps that contributed. Anyways, we were relieved to see the baby looking great - moving around like crazy, good strong h/b, the placenta looked good and there was no sign of any separation, cervix was closed, no sign of SCH, etc. Thanks again for the healthy vibes!!

Hey!!! I totally hear you on the ex-wife thing. DH has 3 kids and we have them every other weekend. I try to be civil and do the "right" thing but sometimes I just can't believe how she is raising them. Let me give you an example. The 9 year old girl got her OWN computer for Christmas...an I-phone (with internet access) AND her mother set her up with an e-mail address that says her ENTIRE name!!!!!!  I am just OVER dealing with the ***** if you can relate. Anyway, enough of venting!!!

So glad your NT scan came back on a positive note. Just had mine today and I got the same result. :D :D :D :D DH and I were really nervous about this one! The tech also thinks we may be having a boy!

So happy things are going well for you. I don't post much on these boards but I read everyday and keep up with everyone.

Kaylie - Thanks so much! It's amazing how the sight of blood can knock the wind out of one's sails and cause instant worry. Sorry you & Stephanie have to deal with lousy ex-wives, UGH!! Her own computer and iphone at age 9??? Wow, that is soooo asking for trouble!! But GREAT news on your NT scan going well! What a relief for you I'm sure. :D

Amanda......So glad your little one is doing great despite the bleeding. I know how scary it must be, but some women spot or bleed throughout pregnancy and deliver healthy babies. I know that hearing that doesn't really help to hear when it's happening to you. I swear everytime I go to the bathroom I check because I am so paranoid. Sometimes I go just to check. Seeing your OB and seeing the little bean is okay is always a relief.

Rio.....sending you lots of prayers for a perfect u/s tomorrow. I'm sure he/she is doing great!

Mellow.....thinking of you and sending you lots of love and prayers.

Stephanie.....So...boys? How much longer until you'll know? My RE said this morning that he likes to guess and he's guessing one of each for us. He says there's no way to tell, he just likes to make predictions. I'm hoping he's right. :D

AFM.....I had my u/s this morning and both babies looked great. I think they both measure 7w1d...I know one did. One with a heartrate of 167 and one 157. He said everything was great. It was amazing to see. It's starting to feel a little more real even though I do 'feel' pregnant. When i say feel....I mean I feel lousy. Not all of the time, but when it's on....it's on. I don't mind. I'll take it. Feeling so blessed. I feel like I wrote a letter to Santa and he came through.

I hope you ladies are having a great day!

Rio - Big prayers coming your way! Baby A is going to look great tomorrow! We'll be traveling to the in-laws tomorrow, but as soon as we get there I'll be logging on to see how your u/s went.

Karin - AWESOME news on your u/s!! So glad the twins are looking fabulous. I'm glad Santa gave you the best presents ever this year!!

Not sure if you guys have seen this, but I saw it on a board somewhere. The link below shows how you can look at the "angle of the dangle" to try to predict the gender in early u/s. Amazing that at 11 weeks, the genetalia look identical but just a week or two later the angle of the genital tuber may provide a clue as to whether it's a girl or boy. http://www.baby2see.com/gender/external_genitals.html
