annashope wrote:Hello girls I thought I would wait until the heartbeat to move over to this board but some girls on the other side suggested I make the move...lol I guess I will I don't want to upset anyone with my betas and stuff.

Sonya congrats on reaching 12 weeks yay! what a wonderful milestone...I can't wait to get there and hopefully feel a bit more confidant.

AFM just waiting. My first beta at 14dpo was 247 and 16 dpo was 725 so I don't get a third beta until Thursday at which point I will be 5 weeks exactly. RE wants to do an ultrasound on Thursday but I am not sure what can be seen so early. Has any of you done an u/s at 5 weeks? I guess maybe just the sac itself... On another note we are really not telling people yet but I told my mom and my sister (they are my bestest friends) but 2 days ago my brother and his wife found out they are preggers and are too afraid to tell me...ugh I want to tell them so bad but I know I must be good at least until Christmas...how do you girls make it through this without telling...I wanna shout it from the mountain top :) but I know I know I should wait...lol
I feel kind of honored to be a belly buddy with you after your sweet PM's and sharing!! LOL Huge congrats again and WELCOME! You are just as pregnant as any of us, and we all know how worrisome those first few weeks are, so you are in the right place and more than welcome - this is where you belong now. :) Your betas are awesome and meeting some really important milestones.

An ultrasound at 5 weeks is important and tells a LOT. It will confirm the implantation site to make sure it's in a good spot, and confirm a yolk sac and possible fetal pole. Those are the makings of your baby and will soon be followed by a heartbeat and measurements.

As for telling people... I don't know how we would have gotten through the losses and trying without the support of friends and family. I have total strangers in my town coming into my store and telling me they are sorry or congrats or that we are inspiring them as a result of them following my blog. The help, understanding and support has made the journey that much sweeter and meaningful to us both, and sharing the ups and downs and hopes has been an important therapy tool for me, especially. Even the guys my DH work with out on the pipelines ask him if I'm pregnant yet, or give him a pat on the shoulder if we lost a pregnancy... they were thrilled for him when we finally got pregnant and made it to the ultrasounds. Everyone is different... but us... we celebrated every ounce of good news with the world. LOL

Thank you all for your support and the PM's to say you are thinking of me. I wanted to let you all know, we are waiting one more week, just to be certain...but we are pretty sure there will be no change. The bleed looked to have slowed, and surprisingly we could see the other sac again that looked to have been detached at the last ultrasound. Both sacs are still there, and there were no heartbeats in either. We only saw a heartbeat in one before, that had stopped, but never saw one in the other sac. The RE said there is room for a miracle, but she has only seen it one other time before. I've had one before myself. Anyway, we are waiting till monday to see and decide if I need to do a D&C again. We have a lot going on right now, so that makes it hard for me. It's even harder to still feel very pregnant, dizzy, tired, and super hungry, and my uterus is way above the pubic bone. They have me down to 1/2cc of PIO every other night, since my progesterone levels were sky high still. At this point it's a waiting game. I wish I had better news for Christmas this year. We really needed it, for all of us. 2 miscarriages, but 3 lost babies, and then the tremendous loss of my newborn son in April...I feel broken, but still full of hope. We have 3 frosties, we will try again likely in March, if I can muster up enough strength to do it again. I pray you all have better news this Christmas than we do....but, my heart is still very full of so much hope..after all if we don't have that, we have nothing.
Mellow... I can't find words to comfort you, I can only say that I admire your strength and ability to hold onto hope. I've been in this game for three years and cant' tell you how many sad stories like yours have happy endings. We are here for you. I can't imagine losing a newborn, and honestly think that miscarriages cannot compare, no matter how epic.... please accept our tender wishes and virtual hugs as if we were in the room.

klinger13 wrote:Rio - thanks so much! Going from brown spotting to red "more than spotting" this morning really freaked me out. The doc's not sure where the bleeding/spotting came from, but the baby is doing great. I did stop my progesterone last week once I hit the 10 week mark so that could be a culprit. And that 2nd sac is still there (though it is getting a bit more squished out of the way by the main sac) so perhaps that contributed. Anyways, we were relieved to see the baby looking great - moving around like crazy, good strong h/b, the placenta looked good and there was no sign of any separation, cervix was closed, no sign of SCH, etc. Thanks again for the healthy vibes!!
UGH. I can't imagine how freaked out I would be! So happy your little one is doing great - I wish they could find the source of the bleed.. is it possible it's the first sac disconnecting or breaking down? All signs point to a happy and healthy pregnancy, Amanda... wonderful news!

So what is everyone's gender guess? Have you had any dreams about the gender of your baby?

I have a gut feeling that our baby is a girl.

Amanda - I'm so very happy your little one is doing great! Hang in there, Momma. I know that blood is the absolute LAST thing a pregnant woman wants to see and that it's such a crippling and helpless feeling. My SIL had similar bleeding with her youngest son. Light bleeding of red blood changing to brown spotting off and on during her first trimester. They couldn't identify the cause with hers either. Her gorgeous little boy will be one in February. So, I just know it's going to work out for you, and you'll be cuddling with your baby in your arms before you know it! (((HUGS)))

Kaylie and Rio - Thanks ladies!!! I read your posts to DH and he seemed relieved to know we're not the only ones with douche bag exes and mothers of our kids. "Funny" story... When we told his DS about the babies, he was beside himself! Telling his dad he would be here MUCH more often to help out with them and be here for them (sooooooo cute, right?!). Then, that night his MOTHER was texting me, congratulating me and making excuses for her daughter shutting us out like she had. I honestly can't stand that woman and HATE that she has my phone number. I was hoping that us having the babies would change DD's mind and she would want to come back to be a part of our family again... UNTIL we found out his ex-wife (again, not their mom) was due with her first baby a week or so after our due date. I'm happy for her... but hate that when it comes to my SD, I can't help but feel like she managed to steal our thunder.

Kaylie - YAY for great NT results! And congrats on the baby boy!

Karin - I will be convinced when I go to my 18 or 20 week u/s to actually determine their sex. Having one of each already, I have a good idea of what the scrotum and penis versus the labia looks like. So, when I see it, I'll believe it. However, I must say, it did make me sad to see all the adorable little girl outfits at the store right after the tech's prediction. DH picked up the CUTEST little Ugg-like baby boots and stuck his bottom lip out... :(

Girls beta today 21 dpo is 3578 and we saw a perfect little sac...ah Dh and I were overjoyed. We are exactly 5 weeks today and it was too early to see anything else but just seeing that little (6-7 mm--which I am told is perfect) was amazing...Re said he is very pleased and we go back for another ultrasound in 1 week at (6 weeks)

Sonya I don't know how I would have gotten through the past few weeks without your support and your encouraging story...hugs

Rio I can't wait the good news from you...you are in my prayers

I can sum up my life by saying this. My life is a freaking roller coaster of emotions that are all over the place.

More bleeding and cramping last night, feeling extremely sick and hungry every five minutes...and not being able to sleep because my stomach hurts so bad...that is how I went to bed last night.

RE got me in, just to check and see what is going on. You are not going to believe this...because I certainly don't.

Still full of clots, but a little surprise was there to see. A heartbeat, and then, Oh Wait, another one. I am in shock, and have been crying all morning. I don't know how these things happen to me. We are not out of the woods, this bleeding is a big problem, but we have hope that soaring so high right now, I don't even know what to do with myself. The RE is cautious, yet hopeful...which is how I will remain. The little heartbeats were 141 and 138. I haven't told my DH yet, he is driving home from Vegas with my son and some friends right now and thought I would wait to tell him when he gets home.

If I can dry up these tears, I may just be able to get something done today...after I eat something since my tummy is screaming at me. We go forward cautiously hopeful, and Thank God for a couple little Christmas miracles. Things are still worrisome, but we will wait and see what happens as these next several days go by. I go back in on Monday afternoon to take another look at things. Thank you all so much for your support, it means a lot to me.

Anna, that is great news, my heart is so happy for you. :)

Mellow - I do believe in miracles and they do happen! WOW!!! Two perfect heartbeats! Did the RE have any explanation? That is amazing, perfect Xmas git!

Annas - great news on your perfect little sac!!!!!

AFM Great news! The baby is doing wonderful. S/He measured at 9 weeks and we are 8w4d so s/he is growing beautifully and has a great HB (OB doesn't measure it, but he has seen thousands so he said it was very strong). Baby B is still at 7w size and no heartbeat  . My OB reassured me that everything looks fine. Finally to have a non-shocking US was wonderful, I am so happy and what a great Xmas gift!

Thank you so much for all of you thoughts, prayers and support! I am very thankful for you!

What WONDERFUL news on our thread today!! WOW!!!

Mellow - What a wonderful miracle!! I am just thrilled for you. I understand your cautious optimism but I must say those little ones you have are fighters and I'm going to keep on praying that they continue to go nice and strong and the clots don't cause any further issue. You will have to let us know the expression on DH's face when you told him this amazing news!!

Rio - YAY for that baby going strong and growing beautifully! WOOHOO!!

Annashope - Congrats on a great u/s!! What they saw today sounds perfect so YAY!!!
