Hi Everyone! I hope everyone had a great Christmas I see there are quite a few BFPs Congrats to all you ladies. I am going to try to get back into the swing of posting on the boards again. I finally got my schedule and I start my baseline us on the 10th and then on with all the shots. I had a busy week this past week. I had to drive 4 1/2 hrs. to pick my parents up for Christmas and my mom has been bleeding for 2months. I couldn't talk her into going to the hospital here, so when I took them home I got her to go to the hospital there. It turns out she has uterine fibroids:( The E.R doctor there was a real ahole I ask him about her blood work & he was like she is anemic from all the bleeding. It was like well no shit we know that but what her CBC etc. I guess he thought no one should ask him questions. Anyways she is schedule to see a doctor Monday morning and hopefully will have the surgery next week. I will be taking another trip to Memphis, TN. The only way I got her to go was to tell her she was about to get very sick & I couldn't go through with this next cycle while worrying about her. Yes I played the guilt the card.

Anyways, just wanted to check in on everyone.

Hi Ladies - Well I needed a few days to let all this sink in and although I am not over this I feel that getting back on the horse so to speak will help us to feel better. I just wish I knew what happened - it just seemed so violent to me - we have had MC's before but never that painful or that crazy amount of blood. I am hoping it wasn't something I did or that my body is just not able to keep a baby. It's funny everyone keeps asking me what can I do to make you feel better and pretty much the only thing that will make me feel better is to be pregnant again. So we decided better to make plans than to sit an wait. We live in a town that hosts a large Film Festival every year I wait tables at a local restaurant extremely part time except for that time of year so we are hopeful to make enough money to do a FET after that (last year I made just under 5 grand in 10 days - unbelievable amount of work but worth it in the end )
So with that being said congrats to all the BFP's that have been poping up so happy for everyone this is a lucky bored

And for those of starting over this is our time - we will be pregnant in 2011 and all have healthy babies!!! I will keep you posted but we are thinking end of January beginning of February - Thank you for all of who sent me a PM & all your well wishes on the boards as well - we are so thankful to have such wonderful supportive people in our lives - Thank You!

Wow!!! Fireworks are in order!!! Congrats to everyone!!! This is totally helping all of us that are getting ready to start. It adds tons of fuel to our PMA tanks. What a joyous and blessed way to start off 2011.

We are still in shock!... I got my beta result and it was 101... WOW... We are still in denial!... I really can't believe it!

What a way to start the year... Next beta is on sunday so we will be praying for positive results and good doubling time. I'm very happy I saved the $$$ too!....

Sorry I've been so absent! I'm in an opera and we are performing now - so I go to work and then run to the theater for makeup and costumes before the show starts at 8. Yesterday we had a matinee AND an evening show - life is a little crazy right now!

Thanks to all about the advice on HSGs. I won't schedule a shift that I *have* to go to - but I'll tell them that I may or may not show up to work, depending on how I'm feeling.

Heather - I really hope that the spot in the mammogram was just a shadow or something! I'm glad to hear DH won't be gone all that long.... is there someone else who can be with you while you deal with the mammogram stuff? My MIL comes with me to all my appts when my DH is away.

Ester - Welcome back! I totally understand not hanging out after a BFN - but I'm glad to see you again!

Margi - so sad for you.... will you do another IUI? Have you tried to apply for a loan or a grant to do another IVF cycle? Look into Jewish agencies that can help - I know there are a bunch that can help you pay for IF treatments. PM me if you'd like

Lou - I hope your car is okay! It really sucks to have such unexpected expenses.... and I think every single one of us is guilty of BD when we shouldn't! I'm always told not to after the ER, because they may have missed an egg or two and they don't want higher order multiples.... but we always do! Just in case! I really hope you get a surprise BFP.....

Samantha - Cetrocide is a drug you take on an antagonist protocol (it's called Ganirelix in the USA, "Orgalutran" where I am in the Middle East).... That's the kind of cycle I'm doing - I've done antagonist twice. Ask any questions you have, I'm kinda a pro!

Hope - yeah.... Greece will be awesome, but I'm not expecting any miracle conceptions there! Just trying to relax and forget how crazy our lives are!

Andrea - HI! --- funny how you and Lou are at the same clinic!

Ginger - YAY! As a few have said , don't worry about that number - you are fine. That is why some clinics (like mine) don't do a beta until later on (mine does at 17dpo). If you are 14dpo - and double every 1.5 days - in 3 days, you'll be around 300, which is great!

rio - I wish I didn't have to give you the info on CLIMB, but they are helpful. We lost both of our twins, so it's a different situation. They have advice also on how to phrase birth announcements, etc to reflect the baby you lost. Greece will be awesome and vacation is JUST what we need!

Carol - PMA = Positive Mental Attitude - basically, being optimistic instead of pessimistic. Sometimes we just have to remind each other that this can work and we just need to stay positive. It's hard toward the end of a 2ww.... so we try to cheer each other up!

Karian - YAY! That is amazing! YAY!

Anna - you may dream of visiting Greece - but I'm dreaming of being pregnant! CONGRATS on that beautiful heartbeat! How about we switch? I'll be 6 weeks pregnant and YOU go to Greece

Ryann - twins! yay! Not so surprising, though, huh?

AFM - Performing like CRAZY! So tired and behind in my housework - but of course, it's my day off today (Friday is the weekend here - Sunday is a regular work day) and I'm here chatting with you instead of cleaning!

We bought our tickets to GREECE! yay! We really need this vacation. Then we get back and do our HSG. Assuming all goes well, we will start our new fresh cycle on my first AF after the HSG - should be about the beginning of Feb since I'm on OCP and can control my cycle!

I'm actually looking forward to this.... maybe this will finally work for us......

Leora, I would love to visit the whole mediteranean area. I studied architecture and all of the seven original wonders of the world are from that area, as well as the beginnings of humanity and religions. You are fortunate to live in an area with such rich history. Some day I will visit... hopefully with a toddler in tow.

Katie.. YES... we will all get our babies in 2011... by any means necessary (no, I won't be stalking hospital nurseries and stealing babies... at least I hope it won't get to that point!) Take care of yourself and know we are thinking of you.

Lou.... I'm there with you... I would LOVE to get lucky like Karian and get a natural BFP this cycle. I know IUI isn't as costly as IVF, but I'd rather put it toward a new crib than help my RE make a car payment!

Karian, Ryan, Anna and Kelli... congratulations and what an awesome way to bring in the new year! Spread the baby dust around ladies!

Leora -- My car is OK.... needed brake job. The airconditioning went out on it a few months ago and I haven't gotten it fixed because I don't need airconditioning right now in winter. But brakes... I kinda need those! So now it's all fixed. And now I'm trying to come up with something to top a trip to Greece to swap for Anna's pregnancy...lol. Hmm.... I think you're gonna win, I got nothin'! But we WILL be getting our own BFP's in early 2011. We WILL. You sound like you must be very talented to perform in an Opera! Way to go... have fun! Thanks for your support. I dream of a surprise BFP almost every night. I know I'm "older", but I now have two open tubes, a uterus without a fibroid, and I ovulate like clockwork. DH has low sperm counts that bounce around but sometimes aren't horrible. He had a varicocele fixed around Thanksgiving. So if the procedures did any good, a natural BFP is what we will try for if this IVF doesn't work.

CJinNC -- No kidding! I think that every time I see my RE's high end Infiniti parked outside the clinic. LOL When is your next IUI? Are you waiting a cycle before your next IUI so a natural BFP is possible for you? Heck, I'm even doing fertility temperature charting using fertilityfriend.com and OPKs. I ain't risking wasting a good egg!

Katieb-- You have been on my mind recently. I'm so sorry you had to go through that horrible experience. But you did get pregnant and it CAN happen and WILL happen again.

AFM -- Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year! I really thought I'd be home with my baby this year but instead we're actually going out to a party. I am looking forward to it because there will be some fun people there but really I'm waaaay over my party phase. I had an accupuncture appt last night and it was a good one. I felt very relaxed and almost slept during the treatment and I came out of there feeling very refreshed. I go back on the 6th, the same day I start my Estrace of this cycle!

Lou, this will be my first IUI. I attempted to do it last year, but my former RE didn't listen to me when I told him I was about to O on my own... I had been charting for over a year so I think I knew my cycles better than him. I had 3 good eggs, but weren't quite mature yet and sure enough I ovulated by the next time I went for an u/s. I like how he just shrugged it off with a "well, maybe next time".... yeah... are you putting up the $$$ for the meds next time doc??? Anyway, I was on my own the next cycle and suprisingly got my BFP - the day we buried my FIL. He (RE) was completely negative about it from the beginning even when my beta #s grew perfectly and we saw the sac on time, etc. He kept telling me... "well, it looks okay now, but you have a high risk to m/c so don't get too excited." WTF??? Thanks for the encouragement... I think he was pissed because I did it that cycle without his BS help. When we didn't see a heartbeat at 8 weeks he completely ignored the fact that I was devastated and within seconds of saying "no heartbeat" he began to describe to me how a natural m/c may not remove all of the fetal tissue, so I should opt for a D&C. My husband had just lost his father and now his baby. Heartless b*st*rd. Needless to say, after that DH told me never to go back to him again. I had my new OB/GYN do the D&C at 9 weeks and I followed with him until earlier this year when I found a new RE. He's great ... alittle odd.. but nice. We have decided to do our first IUI with next cycle that starts the end of January. Sorry about the long story....

So, natural BFP is a possibiliy...however very small. I ovulate regularly and have great hormones, but this cycle decide on no clomid or anything, so it will probably be a long one with no good eggs.

Anyone else doing IUI soon?
