I had no side effects at all from the Buserelin, which was a huge relief.
The results of my scan was that the lining of my womb was nice and thin which meant moving onto the next step of my treatment.
On Saturday 1st January 2011 I started the Fostimon injection which I have along with the Buserelin. A little more fiddly to prepare, but quite easy once you get the hang of it.
This will make me produce eggs, hopefully, quality ones!
I have to return to the hospital on Friday 7th January for a scan. If the scan shows mature eggs then I will receive a date for egg collection.
The nurse said If all goes well, I could be pregnant in about 3/4 weeks
The nerves are kicking in now, my mind is all over the place!!! I don't dare get too excited that our dream could finally come true.
My partner and I are being realistic about everything and are trying to keep our feet firmly on the ground.
