Hi ladies
Going in for a c section in the next few hours. My placenta is not giving them enough of what they need. So todays the day! Scared and excited. I'll update when I am up to it.

kitty - I hope that it went well! Hopefully you are recovering and the babies are doing well. There are lots of prayers and good thoughts for you and the babies! I am sure you will be out of it for a while, and then busy with the babies, but when you get a chance let us know how everyone is doing. You are the first one! hooray! I am so thrilled for you to meet your babies!

Hi ladies
Just wanted to update you all on my little loves. My Danny boy is on a C-pap machine which helps with his breathing he's not on any oxygen just regular room air. My Leigh is doing great. She is breathing all on her own They both got jaundice but nicu doc told us that would happen. So they are under tanning lights I'm on emotional overload. Im trying to start breast feeding her, they put some in his iv if I can pump anything. It's hard for her to latch on cause she's small. I'm trying to keep as positive of an attitude that I can, but I'm scared for them. I hope you are all well, sorry that I didn't catch up on personals but I'm still praying and keeping you all in my thoughts.

hi kitty - congrats on the arrival of your 2 little miracles!! it's wonderful news that leigh is breathing on her own, and danny does not need oxygen, just room air! congrats mama, you did it!! so happy for you!! take care of yourself and focus on gaining your strengths back, you'll need it once you are home with these 2 little bundle of joys!

Kitty- Congrats, sounds like your babies are doing just fine. I can't even imagine it has to be overwhelming. Don't worry about the breast feeding just try to take it one day @ a time. My DD was only a week early and never latched on, I pumped for 5 weeks to @ least get some breast milk into her. DD was just plain stubborn and still is to this day Congrats again and remember to rest when you can, hugs

Kitty - it sounds like everyone is doing great! Both babies will keep getting stronger. Keep working on breastfeeding, and remember any milk you can pump for them is a bonus. If you haven't tried it yet ask for a nipple shield, it can help smaller babies nurse. I used it for about a month with Hannah (and she was 5lbs). The closer they get to their due date the easier it will be to nurse them (hopefully). I hope and pray that they get a little stronger every day! I am sure it is overwhelming, and all the hormonal changes in your system don't help. Don't stress about not doing personals, right now you need to focus on you and those two babies! Keep us updated on how things are going! Hugs!

Hi everyone
Kitty - hope you are recovering from the c-section and that the babies are doing great! when do you think you'll be able to go home?
Purple - wow, your ticker says 37 weeks! will your OB go to 40 weeks? that's amazing, you are doing so good! have you had to slow down or go on bed rest at all, or are you continuing to go thru your days as usual?
afm - we had a fun week! we got to see the twins on the 3d u/s on thu. it felt like "meeting" them, these pictures are so detailed, it's amazing. my dad thinks they look like his side fo the family, but DH's aunt thinks B looks like DH when he was born. both babies are doing great and their weight was estimated at 4 lbs even each. that's a pretty big jump from last time when they were shy of 3lbs, i guess the toffee and xmas cookies i have been muching on in the past weeks are doing them a lot of good we also had our baby shower yesterday -- it was a first for me b/c we don't do showers in france (where i am from and lived until 8 years ago), and i did not have a wedding shower. it was a lot of fun and i can't believe how generous everyone was... i did get 21 blankets (!) so have to do some exhcanges/ returns nxt weekend. it took me forever to go thru all the stuff and organize it today, everything is slowly coming together. we also got the car seats this morning so i feel pretty ready (or more exactly "logistically ready") for the twins' arrival. we are missing the glider that i am hoping to find at a consignment sale later this month, i just can't bring myself to spendign that kind of money on a brand new one, not even knowing whether i'll end up using it. we have our second expecting parent class on mon, on the agenda c-section and postpartum... can't wait for the 80s videos the weekend could only have been better if the saints had actually shown up to play yesterday

Julia - my OB will let me go exactly to 40 weeks, but not past the 40 week mark. I am starting to go a little stir crazy (can you tell by all my posts ), at this point the babies would do great if they were born and I am ready. I have slowed down a little, I can't be on my feet all day long anymore, but I am still taking care of the kids, fixing dinner, etc. The other thing that is a pain is that I have had to give up driving. I am 5'5" and with my giant belly I can't physically fit behind the steering wheel anymore and still reach the pedals... doh! Your baby shower sounded great! Everyone loves buying baby stuff, it is such a fun tradition. I loved your pictures, what amazing details! They are cute babies!

I just wanted to wish Kitty - Congratulations on your two little loves! Thanks for your update. I hope both Danny and Leigh are doing well and continuing to grow every day! Stay positive and they'll continue to thrive!
