Ghost- lying flat immediately after transfer

Post by Winterhopes »

My clinic's policy is to keep you lying down for only 5 minutes post-transfer. I know that CCRM, on the other hand, strictly has you down for a full hour, and other clinics somewhere in between.

Should I insist on lying down for a longer time? Is 5 minutes sufficient?

Also, I have a tilted uterus-- does that affect anything, transfer-wise?

Thanx.

I don't recall a study of this. I know extended bedrest, resting for one or more days after transfer, has been shown to be no benefit.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Hi,

Just to let you know our clinics only get you too lie down for 5mins after transfer as well and it was fine my little girl is now 6 wks old...she stuck on very tight!! Once implanted those embroys arent going anywhere but i suppose we all feel that the just might "fall out" at any time, jason use to make me wait a few hrs before i could use the loo...and that was after having a transfer with a Full Bladder

My clinic gives you the option to lie down only if you want to. Otherwise you're free to go the minute they are finished. I was bursting to go to the loo (went with an over full bladder and then the clinic was running 1.5 hours late  ), so basically jumped up straight away, went to the loo and went straight home. The bean stuck just fine. Remember the embryo is just a few tiny cells put into your uterus which is NOT an open space - the emby isn't just floating around free in there! It's not just going to fall out!
