Hello Ladies,

So here I am very happy and nervous at the same time. So i got the call yesterday and I am a BFP, but my beta was very low so they are a little concerned. My level was 21.8 and they want it to be in the 100's. So they will be monitoring me every two days in hopes that my numbers go up. So all I am asking you ladies is to pray for my BFP to be a success and that my #'s quadruple by tomorrow.

Ladies thank you so much for all of your kind words.

So right now I am PUPO.

I will keep you ladies posted.

Thank you again.

hello ladies :) ...I hope you are all ok with your presonal journey of infertility...
I am going to start my #5 ivf attempt and I am so so scared and positive at the same time..if you know what i mean...we have decided to change doctor for this attempt and hopefully our luck will change with him :) we have done all sorts of blood tests, sperm tests and laparoscopy with no problem founn...besides my DH low sperm count (due to severe mumps orchides he got in 2005 :( and that is the reason are doing ivf anyway) so now this new doctor after reading my file (meds I've taken and protocol's we have used) he told us that from our DNA tests there is a gene that is the same or something like that and since there is nothing else to try in order for us to get pregnant he will try and give me intravenous my DH gene (he takes out an x amount of his blood and spin it some how to the lab and from that the chemist seperates this gene and the doctor gives this to me through the form of injections.) this procedure needs to be done 3 times with a 2 week break in between the shots. so on saturday 15th iam going for my second shot. when the 3rd shot is done too, I will make another dna test & see if I got the antidote from my DH blood. if everything is ok then we are going to proceed with the ''antagonist protocol'' this is how the doctor called it...this only takes 2weeks and then follows the horrible 2ww. hopefully this cycle is going to have BFP result! :D . has anyone heard or done the above procedure with the blood thing? and also has anyone of you used this antagonist protocol? so far I 've used the shot and long protocols. god I hopw this time is the lucky one for us! se realy need this time to work!!!! my DH doesnt like the idea of adopting because he fills all these are his fault (b cause of his sperm issue) and he fills that he is holding me back from having a child be cause he cannot give me one. i dont believe that! no doctor told us that he cannot have a child and even though having a baby will be a miracle for me I love him so so so much I'd rather be with him childless than without him or with another man's child. so I hope and pray that this time is THE ONE for us!

my love to all you mommies and mommies wanna bees :)

Good Morning Everyone hope you all had a ncie weekend!

Riya- I'm so sorry hone. ((Big Hugs))

Kynlee- That sounds about right with the Lupron I started mine a week before my period was estimated to start.

Lou- Yay for strating AF. Good Luck with your baseline ultrasound today.

Heather- I'm sorry about the news of surgery. I'm not sure if they will require you to wait out a cycle but personally from seeing my gf go through breast augmentation surgery I would wait out and let your body heal. Probably not what you want to hear but breast augmentation surgery is pretty painful.

Sunshine12- Awesome fertilization report. What kind fo job do you have? I have a desk job so I'm just taking day of transfer and the next off from work. I believe if you have a strenuous job your doctor may ask you to take more time but I would defnitely ask them because they know best.

Hopisallihave- Good luck on Thursday :)

Jamiep03-Congrats on your bfp. Try not to stress as everyone starts out differantly and the baby may have implanted late.

Anton- I've never heard of that so can't comment. But good luck.

Hope I didn't miss anyone.

And nothing new here but overnight I put on 3 pounds. :(

Hi Kat,

That is exactly what I am doing is staying positive, I have read articles that say the same about late implantation.

Thank you for your words.

Jamie...Congrats on your BFP....Iknow you are being cautious, but I will keep all crossable things crossed for great rising numbers!!!!

Anton...I haven't heard of the procedure, but I wish you the best of luck!

Hope....YAY for your last BCP!!! It won't be long now!!!

Sunshine.12....6 embies is great! I will keep on praying that they develop perfectly!!!!

Heather...I am so sorry you have to go through your surgery :( THat just sucks. I love the idea of the tatoo though...I'm sure it will be beautiful.

Lou....I AM SO HAPPY AF CAME ON TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kynlee...I started Lupron for my FET 21 days into my cycle as well.

Leora....I hope you have a wonderful time in Greece! So very much deserved!

Kimber...I thought of you this morning and had to come on and share my story....I am the BIGGEST wimp when it comes to these needles. DH had to do ALL my shots, including the "easy" sub-q ones. I just couldn't do it. Well I am on PIO, which is IM in the booty and DH gives me the shot in the morning before work and at night before bed. I don't like it much, but I know it's for a good cause. Well this morning, like a bunch of airheads, we forgot my shot and DH left for work. I HAD TO DO THE SHOT MYSELF!!!!!! I freaked for a good ten minutes, kept telling myself it was for the babies, and I DID IT! Moral of the story....if I can do it, ANYONE can do it!!!!!!!!!!!

I read up on you ladies every day and am sending tons of baby dust to you alll!!!!!! xoxo

CJinNC – I am a huge fan of acupuncture. I don’t think it hurts at all and especially through this super stressful time, it really helps to have a stress outlet.

Hope is all – I do pay out of pocket for acupuncture, but am able to do it pre-tax through flex spending. Do you have flex spending? If you do, it should cover it. So, that’s like a 30% discount right there! I love it. It’s super relaxing and doesn’t hurt at all. My acupuncturist is a great support for me as well. We are not telling a lot people what we are going through and for me, my RE office is good, but sometimes I feel like I’m just one of the many and no one’s really listening to me. So, she’s my biggest supporter, I feel like she keeps me accountable to do better with my diet, exercise, mental health. I swear, I cry every time I see her. I went to a therapist this year to help with the infertility struggles, and it just wasn’t right. I needed someone that would help me make these decisions, not just listen. And she does that and I find it super comforting. She’s really been my rock besides DH. Oh what a wonderful dream!!!

Nwquiz – oh the waiting game! I hope AF is on time for you too!

Margi – I hate those darn appointments. You let me know what you are cooking up. I’m always open to new things. I am so glad you too are an acupuncture fan! I was just there on Friday and she said, so you are going to wait 3 months so we can get you back in shape (I took about a 5 month stop from going because all my flex money was gone). I told her that I’m really ready with the long break to go through another cycle now, so she was really on my case last week! I’ve stopped drinking, no caffeine, no white flour, all high fat diary, and lots of rice and veggies. Hopefully she’ll see a difference in the next 3 weeks before my IUI.

Sunshine12 – My acupuncture appointment was great. I’m having lots of PMA and it feels great to have her championing me again. It’s just nice to have someone to hold you accountable. As I told margi above, she gave me quite a scolding! CONGRATS ON YOUR 11 eggs! Awesome! How are you feeling after ER? I am going to pray for superb quality for you!

Kimber – congrats on starting the shots! How exciting! And glad you feel great about your donor. I haven’t heard of the massage, but let me know what you find out! What donor bank are you using?

Krcaja – lowering follistim is totally normal. It means that you are responding well to the follistim and they want you to stim for a few more days to make sure all the follicles are mature. So, you are right on track! It’s not a perfect science on how soon after they reduce that your ER will be. To better get an idea, on your next SnS, ask the sizes of the follicles. They want them at about 16-18…right ladies? So, you can kinda tell how long you will continue stimming based on the measurements they are giving you. Good luck!

Leora – you’re not crazy at all, or else, I’m crazy too! DH and I did the deed when I was ovulating this month and I was thinking last night how amazing it would be if I was pregnant…HELLO REALITY CHECK…right? Um, he doesn’t have any sperm, I’m not going to get pregnant, but my mind goes there too! You’re not crazy, we’re just wishing and hoping because it’s something we want so badly! Let’s try and channel it together to our PMA!!

Sweetpea – yup, I’m the acupuncture pusher here :) I’m telling you, you’ll love it. You are having a great cycle! That’s awesome on your follicle sizes and a great lining! Get excited!

Riya – I am so so very sorry. I truly hope that there will be another shot for you. We are here for you and I am sending a big giant hug to you!

Lou – ha! I love it. I need me one of those necklaces! I’m so glad AF is here for you and you can get this show on the road! This is going to work!

Sunshine1576 – good luck with the surgery! I know everything will go well and why not see what they can find up there!

Lauren 1171- this is going to be your cycle!

Jamiep – that’s awesome! It doesn’t so much matter on the first number, but the second, there are lots of low first betas that turn out to health pregnancies. How many DPO are you?

Anton – I have not heard of the blood thing, but keep us in the loop. Is it because your dr is saying that your body is rejecting it? I really hope this is the time for you!

Ryann – how are you feeling?

AFM: I am getting excited and really can’t wait to start this cycle. I’m going to acupuncture each week now, which will be great. DH and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary this weekend and DH surprised me with a couples massage, which was amazing! I feel so lucky to be with him. It’s weird because with all that we have gone through the last 3 years, it’s seems like we have lived a lifetime and then to think it’s only been 5 years! I feel like we have accomplished so much.

Lots of love to you all!

Hi ladies,

Sorry for the lack of personals but I'm literally buried in this project at work and don't have any time. :(

Just wanted to let everyone know that my baselines went OK this morning and I got the green light to start stims tonight. I had about 15 antral follicles. My left ovary was real quiet and I'm wondering if that's because I had surgery to remove a cyst on it a month ago. Of those 15 antrals, 10 were on my right and only 5 on my left. Last cycle I had about 20 and retrieved 10 eggs so I was hoping for at least that good. Ugh... I'm worried already. I'm starting with 150 of Menopur and 450 of Follistim and go back on Thursday morning to see how they are cooking.

Take care everyone!

Riya, I'm so sorry for the bfn. I can understand how you feel spiritually... I have been there many times myself wondering what I had done wrong to not be "blessed" like others. At difficult times it can be so hard to find those things in our lives with which we are blessed, but I am sure you will have a change of heart and find a way to make your dream of a baby come true. If surrogacy or adoption is what it takes, then it will be worth it.

Jamie - good luck on the upcoming betas... and like Sweetpea said, every little bean grows at its own pace.

Heather - I am so sorry about the need for surgery, but you seem to have a good PMA and your eagerness to get back on the TTC is good! Keep us posted on your recovery.

Lou, great antral count... are you ready for a bfp in time for Valentines? =) Good luck to everyone going through IVF and IUI this cycle... spreading lots and lots of baby dust around!

Leora... I hope you are feeling better so you can fully enjoy your trip.... BTW here's my order.. a Gyro, spanakopita, baklava, kourambiethes and some koulourakis.... mmmmmm I would love to EAT my way through Europe and the Mediterranean... but I probably wouldn't fit in the plane for the trip home!

Hello everyone...
Well I went for blood work this morning...so we are on for tomorrow! My HGC level was 211 and they said anything above 50 was good.

Is there a website that explains all the numbers? I know my estrogen level on Sunday morning was 3000+ with a lining of 12 something which the nurse said was good as well. I am praying so hard to get mature eggs that fertilize. I have never been pregnant and after all of those failed IUI's I feel like this is our only hope. I am also wondering how much bed rest I really should have after the transplant. Does bedrest improve the chances of implantation and if so, how many days of bedrest? My doctor says 5 days to a week is best if I can manage it. She said try to avoid stairs, lifting, reaching above my head, and of course sex.

I really would like to hear from all of you wise women about what to expect after my transfer and during the 2ww.

Good luck to everyone and I am really praying for all of us to be successful. I am so happy for the BFP in the group and am praying for healthy babies!!

Jamie, congrats on a BFP! I'm hoping your number shoots up in it's triple digits within the next couple days.

Anton, sorry, no insight on the procedure, but hoping #5 is THE one for you! Lots of baby dust to you!

Ryann - so nice to see you visit! how are you doing, hun? How are those lovely beans of yours doing? Hope those 6th graders are treating you well!

Tiger - wow, sounds like you're in love (with the acupuncture)! :) I am glad to hear you have someone to talk to and someone to make you feel comfortable. It's always great to have a good support system and I'm glad to hear your acupuncturist is there for you. Okay, it's too late for me to begin now, but God forbid if this cycle does not work, I will definitely give it a try! Hubby has flex spending, but I don't think he put much money in it because he never really uses it. 30% sounds like a great discount!

Lou - YAY for starting stims! 15 is a great number! We both go in on Thursday to look at those egg-producing organs of ours! Good luck!

Krcaja - yay, good luck tomorrow!! Your numbers sound good. Hoping you have lots of mature eggs that fertilize! I have heard a couple days of bedrest is just fine, but I'm no expert. This is going to be my first IVF and I'm going to try to get away with as many days of bedrest as I can. I'm looking forward to putting DH to work that entire week! :D

AFM - nothing new. Just trucking along. Have a beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

Quick question for you ladies..

I'm on day 6 of lupron today with my tentative egg retrieval date 2 weeks away. Today is our 3 month wedding anniversary and we wanted to open the same bottle of wine that we first drank as a couple to celebrate. Is it safe to have a glass of wine or should I just refrain from it? :?

Good Morning Ladies!

Just a quick update. She had difficulty getting at my ovaries do to my bowel being in the way but was able to measure the following. I have 8 large follicles. I have one that is only 13 but the rest are 14.5-17 in size and one that is 22.5. My lining is 12.5. I think she forgot to count my follicles under 10 on my left but I was too elated to have the number 8 to care. I had like 4 or 5 under 10 on my right. Hopefully my labs come back that I get the go ahead to trigger tonight.

Hopisalliahve- I don't see how a glass or two of wine would hurt.

Krcja-goodluck today :) Your numbers sound really good!

I'll get to the reats of personals later. I've got the worste headache and feel like crap yesterday and today. And we have a huge storm coming in over her. Thankfully for tomorrow so ut won't affect my ER.
