Amanda1979 -- I hope your cyst recedes and you will be stimming in no time. I don't think it's the DHEA that caused it. If your estrogen was elevated, that's when they worry and postpone cycles. But if it's a cyst that's not doing anything or producing estrogen, then it might not matter.

Rio -- I hope you're right about the D&C improving implantation! That would be awesome since I need all the help I can get.

Katie99 -- Thanks for stalking me! And for all of your support. I've missed you! BTW -- Ryan is ADORABLE... OMG... you are soooo lucky.

Jamie -- I'm so sorry about your chemical. But I've seen a lot of pregnancies happen on the very next cycle. I think you still have great chances.

krcaja -- 5 mature is quite good! I got pg when I had 4 mature, 3 fert on a 3dt. PMA standa for positive mental attitude and PUPO is pregnant until proven otherwise which is what you are in the 2ww.

AFM -- Sorry my post is short... I'm really really busy at work. I'm really down today. After 3 days of stimming I only have a couple of follicles at 10mm and the rest don't seem to be doing anything at all. I'm already on a total dose of 600 units of Follistim so I can't imagine going up on that. I know it's still early and I'm hoping at least a few more respond. It's just that on my previous 3 cycles, the follicles that were growing on my first u/s matched exactly what I retrieved at ER. I'm so upset right now!

Lou - so sorry to hear about your low follicle count. Have some hope though; every cycle is different. You may have some late bloomers this time. Hoping for the best for you! PMA!

So sorry for the lack of personals, ladies. I just got back from what seemed like a vein liposuction on my arm. The incompetent medical assistant completely mutilated my arm when trying to draw my blood. My entire arm/hand is in pain so can't type much. Ovaries looked all calm and silent so I should get the call later from my nurse to start stimming. Endometrium lining was at 4. I guess that's an okay number? I'm not sure what it's supposed to be at but the tech said everything looked good. Okay, maybe I should ice this arm cuz it's really hurting

Wannabeamum – I go to acupuncture once a week. The best is if you can see the acupuncutist the day of your ET and then 5 days later due to helping implantation. I would definitely recommend it for your ET. I would recommend it at least 3 months before your ET, but because of costs, if you go the day of ET and then 5 days later, that can be better than none at all! I hope the headaches go away for you. I’m not familiar with those pills so not familiar with your protocol. Hopefully some other ladies can help! So when is your expected ER/ET now?

Leora – You’re so funny. Yes, we were both young getting married, but here we are 5 years later and more in love than we were when we were married. I just knew it was right. I’m sure you felt the same. DH is 10 years older than me, which I think made a huge difference. It can take awhile for guys to mature! Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry about Tess and SDs SIL. That is terrible. I hope you can be in the moment with DH and enjoy your time together. You really deserve it.

Kristin – 5 is great! It only takes one. Try to keep up the PMA. We are all here for you! There have been successful pregnancies with only 2 and they transfer those two! So, don’t you worry. When will your transfer be? You’re going to be pupo soon!

Kynlee – that sounds like the best day ever! I wish I was watching movies and baking cookies!

Riogirl – I’m really glad that everything is going well! Thanks for continuing to cheer us on! You have a US today! Can’t wait to hear all about it!

Amanda – I’ll be praying for you. I know it stinks when things are delayed, but we all want the best cycle possible for you!

Kelly – that’s amazing! Okay, so what’s the trick everyone on heart rates? X – x = boy and something equals girl? I always like to see if this is accurate  Kelly, are you going to find out the sex? If not, we don’t have to play this game 

Sunshine – I’m wishing you a very successful surgery. When can you start with IVF then?

Lou – my dear friend. Just remember it’s about quality not quantity. This cycle is going to be different for you. Please try and stay positive, because your PMA is half the battle! What can I do to help my friend?

AFM: I’ve been really good. no caffeine or alcohol for the past 2 weeks now. I saw my acupuncturist yesterday and I’m feeling great. I have slight pulling in my abdomen so I think AF should be coming. It shouldn’t be until 1/18, but can flex a few days, so sometime in the next 5 days! I am so ready to start this cycle. On another note, DH and I just started our major master bathroom remodel! I’m so excited. We went to many different tile and glass shops yesterday…shopping is the best part! I love love love renovating and designing, so that makes me really happy. I’ll have to share pictures with you all when it’s done!

Kimber... if you need someone to come hold your hand at ER or ET, I'll be there for you! I'll time my trip up north to stop in. He sounds like a cutie pie of a donor. I love my DH, and he has perfectly fine sperm, but I wonder if he would mind if I picked out a tall, handsome, sensitive cutie...hmmm Guess maybe not. Then Kharma will kick in and he will get to choose an egg donor.

Leora... so sorry about the reminders of a difficult time. I am sure it is memories you would rather not bring up. Enjoy that trip and hopefully you will be sipping something delicious on the mediterranean beach and forget your worries for a while. Enjoy no internet for 4 days also... that's sounds like bliss!

Update ---

RN called. I'm to keep the same doses... 450 Follistim and 150 Menopur and return on Saturday. She said she measured 4 on the right and 1 on the left that were 7-10mm. She also said there were 9 others that were < 7 mm. Pray for me that I get a few more of those growing for Saturday. My E2 was only 93. I was told I shouldn't worry after 3 days of stims. I guess I'm comparing this to my last cycle where after 3 days of stims I had 10 measurable, an E2 of 450, and the largest folie was at 14 mm so I started my Ganirelix on day 4. I triggered on day 7 and had ER on day 9.

Hey Lou - Just wanted to wish you luck. Don't worry about the slower progress, it might be a good thing. Last cycle you triggered on day 7, I would think stimming for a few more days would be better for your egg quality. i would think some of those 7 will perk up by Sat. FX'd for you.

I am just joining this group.

I have just 2 follicles growing at day 10 of stims. They are 12 and 14mm so I really need them to grow grow grow. Its likely my last attempt since I am 44. My last round got canceled as I had no follicles growing at day 6 and an E2 of 12!

I am just praying these two have some good eggs in there!

Hi Ladies,

I went for the baseline us & blood work this morning. I have a 3.2 cm follicle already of the left ovary & we haven't started the stims meds yet. My nurse said she would call this afternoon to let us know if we should start the meds. I have been taking DHEA. I wonder if that cause the follicles to be get bigger? PLEASE PLEASE don't let them cancel my cycle.

Hi Amanda, I'm still a newbie here, so not sure if I understand DHEA, was told it's used for testing healthy embryos- Please elaborate. Regardless, did you ask them if they would cancel the cycle or just thinking that? It can vary from each cycle, but many more follicles will grow in this cycle with the meds at a different pace. Plus with all the ultrasounds, they will monitor you closely and alter the meds accordingly. Well that's my 2 cents worth! Sunshine1576

Sunshing1576- DHEA is suppose to help with egg quality from my understanding. This is my 3rd cycle but 1st time using DHEA, but I have heard alot of good things about it. With me being a poor responder & having 1 good ovary and half of another one I thought what the hell. I started spotting today so I think we will see the follicle gone tomorrow morning or shrunken some. Thanks for input

Just a quick update. I'll do personals tomorrow as I'm feeling very queesy from pain meds and was vomitting all day. Well we only got 6 eggs. He was a little disapointed as they were expecting more. He tried telling me that I would do a 2 day transfer probably. I put the breaks on that and said I do NOT want to do a 2 day transfer. I said it didn't work last time with a perfect embie and heck a 3 day didn't work the first time with 2 perfect embies. I told him my body needs time to heal. He went over to lab immediatly and told them my wishes. If it doesn't work this time I'm seriously considering switching RE's at this point. The fact they are trying to put embies in a 2 days tells me there lab is not good at what they are doing in choosing the best embryos nor mimicking the tubes. I pray tomorrow I get good fertilization results so they don't try pushing me to a 2 day.

lou..after 3 day of stims, they didnt even give me any count..said all of them are too small to even count..but i ended up getting 11 eggs on ER and 6 of them fertilized..ask your follies to work extra time from today..good luck..

Sunshine12 - yep completely normal to go insane on your two week wait and overanalize every twinge. I found that visualizing and thinking about a baby and rubbing my belly kept me calmer but you go through such a wide range of emotions. Super baby dust for you!

Hope - woooohoooo for starting how very exciting, when is your baseline?

Sweetpea- 6 eggs is good! in my #2 IVF I had 6 eggs total and 3 were mature and fertilized, we got pregnant but it was ectopic. Oh I totally hear you on the RE and being worried about the lab, there is no reason to do a 2 day if your embryos look good. How many will you transfer? We were always aggressive and put in 4 or 3 or 4 basically all the good ones on day 3! I am sprinkling you with baby dust for a wonderful fert report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amanda - DHEA rocks! But remember to stop it about 3 days before ER, does your RE know you are on DHEA?

Lou - to have fun is right, my RE said the best pregnancy rates were between 10 and 13 days of stimming so slower might be a good thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My E2 levels were never very high, in fact a bit low but that didn't matter in the end. Those 9 can catch up and still have mature eggs! Yes Ghost posted about D&C helping

Tiger - good job on no caffeine or alcohol, I really miss my wine but it is worth it! How cool for the remodel, our bath is a disaster but with IVF we have no money for a new bathroom! I would love to see pics! I can't wait for you to get started!!!!!!!!!!

AFM - thank you ladies, the US was great and bean put on a quick show for the first time! It was sad to see the no longer alive twin there too, the twin is showing no signs of being absorbed he still measures at almost 8 weeks (we are 11), but I am blessed. I am also sad for the news of Tess69 and SD's SIL, my heart and prayers are with them for going through such a difficult time, the worrying really never ends. Much love to all!
