Has anyone experienced extreme irritation to downright anger at everything and everyone after their retrievals> I feel more moody and frustrated than I did the whole time on meds. I know I am supposed to be calm and in a happy place prior to my transfer due either friday or sunday but I am so flippin irritated at everything!!!!!!

dont know which it will be
Absolutely. For me, it was the day after transfer (although I was not a happy camper after retrieval).
I realized that it's a HUGE transition between doctors and blood tests and shots every day to being left on your own for two weeks. Suddenly everything was behind me instead of in front of me, and it made me reflect on EVERYthing that has happened for the last several years.
It is normal and expected. If you were totally optimistic and zen, there would be something wrong and delusional about you! I totally understand how you feel.
Thanks so much. I feel a little better today! Yesterday was very very rough! I spent the entire day just mad! I hate that I have to wait until tomorrow to find out the status of my 5 little embies. I am praying they are growing and none have arrested. Have you done a day 3 or day 5 transfer? How many did they put back. Because I will be 38 in March they are putting 2 back. I am hoping to have the others to freeze just in case and also if we decide to add to our family. Although I imagine if we have twins we will be all done.
That sounds like a very good plan. For me, it was one five-day embryo. It didn't work that time, and I'm gearing up for an FET next week. I will always transfer two from now on.
I will give you more details of my transfers, I wrote a little on the Winter Board.
IVF#1 36yo only had 4 mature, 4 fertilized, transfered all 4 they were 10/8/8/5 cells grade A no fragmentation at all had our son
IVF#2 39 yo only had 3 mature, 3 fertilitzed, transfered all 3 they were 9/7/5 cells no fragmentation at all and I had an ectopic pregnancy, miscarried after MTX
IVF#3 39yo had 14 eggs! But only 5 mature, 5 fertilized, transfered 10/8/8/6 all perfect with no fragmentation and the 6 cell was a couple of hours behing in maturity so it was a great one too. One 10 cell had fragmentation and it did not make it to freezing. We were pregnant with twins but had a twin not make it, one healthy baby at 12 weeks
These were all 3 day transfers. We were always more aggressive because we are out of pocket and also we were ok with having twins even though we are very aware of the higher risks of twin pregnancies. When you say putting two back is that if you go to blasts? Keep in mind that the ratio of implantation is very low even for perfect embryos. That's why we were more aggressive and we had perfect embryos on day 3 but just not enough quantity to risk going to day 5. How many to transfer is probably the most difficult decision of IVF. But you got this far which is awesome, sprinlkling you with baby dust!
