Lou - I am always slow stimming! I usually do 8 or 9 nights before there are any decent size follicles. This time I did the same dose as always (450 Gonal F and 150 Menupur). He has me taking 2 estradial pills per day too. I did 5 nights of stims and went for S&S today. Nothing measurable, but E2 was 1,680 lol. Every other cycle it was like 80 on this day! I think it's those pills! Usually I don't start the pills til day 7. I will probably get ovarian hyper stimulation cuz that's my luck! They started me on Cetrotide today which is earlier than normal. They lowered my Gonal F to 300, and I go back Saturday. I am assuming I will just take Cetrotide for more days cuz my follicles will not be ready for another week! Why can't you do that too?

Lynniecat... welcome. I am new here myself and am doing IUI with next cycle. I am 44 also. You say you have severly diminished ovarian reserve, but what are your FSH and AMH levels? I am just looking for someone of same age to compare notes with. My numbers are great (FSH=6.5 and AMH=1.7 and Estradiol=29) but no luck naturally for 2 1/2 years, so I think my body is teasing me. I think my reserve is shot to hell - poor depleted follies. I had one bfp that ended at 9 weeks over a year ago, but nothing since. Seems as if my levels were so good and I had quite a few eggs left (even if old), I'd at least be getting pregnant more often, even if my chance of m/c is higher. Maybe they are all hiding in the back of my ovaries and are waiting to surprise me with triplets at 50 when I least suspect it! LOL

Hi ladies....just got new from my RE nurse. Transfer is scheduled for Sunday at 10:15. I have to take Valium at 9:15 and start filling my bladder. Out of the 5 embries...4 are in the 6-9 cell stage where they are supposed to be and the 5th is 5 cells so they think it will catch up. They said they wouldn't know the grade until Sunday. Does this sound normal? I hate to be so paranoid but I am so new to all of this. I have started POI and will begin lovenox on Sunday. I am also taking Medrol and baby aspirin. Does this sound like everyone elses protocol?

Oh yes and for what its worth I asked my RE about the whole slow stimming thing and she said its better to slow stim and give your eggs time develop and mature. She said alot of times people get a ton of eggs but only a handful will mature. SLow stimming increases the maturation!! SO I hope that helps!!! Baby Dust and good growing to all!!!!!

WOOHOO we are a GO They changed our protocol some. We will be doing 375 of Gonal-F 37 of Menopur and an antagonist starting on day 6. We start the shots tonight. Sorry I don't have time to do personals, but I will catch up later.

Riogirl – tell me about it. I’m kinda freaking out about the money right now. I’m in sales, so a large part of my income is my year end bonus. It always gets paid in March, but by now, I know whether or not I will get it. So, everything was tracking really well so we started the bathroom. Then I got my sales report yesterday evening and I’m $2000 short from hitting my budget. Needless to say, I started internally freaking out, I am working on fixing it, but I couldn’t even tell DH that I might not get it because we were planning on it. He’s totally going to freak if I don’t. But, I thought, why get him worked up about it until I try and solve it on my own. Yikes. I might be in the dog house. I’m so glad that your US went well and that your one little bean put on a show. I’d expect nothing less from your wonderful child

Friends, any experience with online available books on conception. I mean there is book pregnancy miracle, does it work. Do you know anyone benifitted with this book. Pls. help. I want to check with u guys before buying as it cost 50$.

Still getting stomped on at work... ugh. At least it's Friday. Although I'm working a double shift at my other job (gotta pay for IVF, right?). Better yet, I get to stab myself in the middle of my shift! I hope I can go off and find a private place to do that.

Lynniecat -- Welcome! Although you are new to us, you are not new to IVF. Praying for your follies to grow, grow, grow!!! We will probably spend some time in the 2ww together.

Rio -- So 10-13 days has the best pregnancy rates? Do you know what would be considered "too long" then?

Lauren-- I do remembe ryou were a slow stimmer. I will start taking ganirelix instead of cetrotide when my follies are at 14 mm. So my protocol, aside form the estrogen in the beginning, is similar to yours.

Amanda -- Good luck with the new protocol! Glad you got the OK to start.

Tiger -- Thanks for the prayers hun. I wanna see Black Swan too! Let me know if you like it because I won't probably make it until next weekend.

Sadly if I died tomorrow my kids would have to look at a picture of me from 25 years ago. I have a couple wedding pics, but most of them suck - they weren't professional, just friends..... drunk friends with no photographic skills.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. I am 5 days into the 2ww and waiting patiently (yeah, right) for AF. I have one question though..... I notice almost every cycle that I have terrible gas, including bloated painful belly, 5-7 days past ovulation. I thought it was from the clomid, but this is a non-medicated cycle. Anyone else get that. My husband is embarrassed to go places with me due to the incessant belching... I told him better the attic than the basement! But anyone else have that?

Check reviews on amazon. When I'm interested in a particular subject, I usually find a few books with good reviews on amazon and then go to the LIBRARY and get them. Then, if I really like a book and want it for reference, I can buy it and won't feel like I'm wasting my money. Happy reading!

CJ I love that you are waiting patiently....hahahahaha! I know how it is...I remember at one point just pacing back and forth. I find movies help get my mind off the wait. Oh and I had horrid gas and stomach pains during my last 2WW...the one that worked...
Oh and my FSH was 9 and I think AMH was .6 when it was checked 2 years ago. My FSH is ok, but they say a good FSH in us older ladies does not mean a good result, but a bad FSH means a bad result. Truly we can not win. It all comes down to response of your ovaries.

As for me... the dust you all sent worked. My follies grew 8 mm in two days and I just triggered. Retrieval is set for Sunday...the doctor says this is for closure and that my chances are 1 in a million of an ongoing pregnancy...I mean .. I know its low, but I need to do it anyway...

Also, I dont think I have immune issues unless they just didnt tell me or they are counting my diabetes 2 as the immunity problem. Which my mom just said is correct! Luckily it is very well controlled
I feel like Sunday is NEVER going to get here!!!!
