sunshine.12 - I can imagine how nuts the 2ww must be. I'd try to keep myself occupied too to make the wait seem shorter. Good luck!

Rio - yay for seeing the bean again! It's true; I don't think you can ever stop worrying, even after the child is born.. heck, for at least the next 18 years (and beyond)! when is your next appointment? Are you seeing your regular OB now? So glad you still check in on us. Always love reading your posts and encouraging words! Oh yeah, there is a huge bruise on my arm from all the mutilation. I was pretty much useless the entire day yesterday; my arm just felt so weak! Even when I was in nursing school and had students perform venipuncture on me, I didn't get bruised up like this. This medical assistant clearly didn't know what she was doing. Hoping for a different one when I go back for my SnS appointment on Tuesday.

Lauren - hoping for those follies to grow, grow, grow!

krcaja - I believe I'm also on medrol and I just started taking the baby aspirin today since it's my first day of stims. No lovenox though. Glad to hear all 5 of your embies are growing so nicely! I don't know about the cell stage myself since I'm new to all this as well, but sounds like they're doing great! Good luck on Sunday! It'll be here in no time! Weekends always seem to fly by! :P

Amanda - woohoo! happy injecting! :D

Tiger - Let us know how Black Swan is! DH and I were contemplating watching it on our 3-month anniversary, but DH wasn't sure it was "his" kind of movie. Looks pretty interesting though.

Riya - Like Kimber said, I also usually read customer reviews on amazon before purchasing anything. We have amazon prime, so we're avid shoppers when it comes to amazon. I've only purchased one book on maternity so far - Feed the Belly - but plan to purchase a lot more when I'm officially prego.

Lou - good luck tomorrow during your SnS. Hopefully those stragglers are catching up!

Nwquiz - sorry to hear you were having such a bad day. Hope it got better along the way :)

CJinNC - I haven't had that problem, but hopefully you find yourself an answer. How long has it been going on for?

Lynniecat - yay on triggering! good luck this sunday!

AFM - Just gave myself my first follistim shot today (175 IU). I psyched myself out for some reason though. I mean, I've been giving myself Lupron injections for the last 9 days, so if I could handle that easily, why was I worrying about this? I guess the follistim pen itself just looked huge compared to the small insulin syringes. When I finally managed to stab myself, I realized, it was actually easier than the Lupron shot! Silly me. Of course DH had to record it on camera as well, so now I'm just going to look like a wuss, lol. Oh well. Oh yeah, I also started spotting last night, which my case manager had warned me about and said that it may happen after BCP's and that it's normal, but I had such horrible horrible cramps throughout the night. The only thing that helps me is ibuprofen but my nurse advised me to only take tylenol, if needed. So sigh.. I just didn't sleep well last night. And to think, I actually thought (hoped) I wouldn't have to open another pad for a while now. I'm back in those diapers again! SnS on Tuesday, the 18th!

Hope...I know what you mean about psyching yourself out. I did my 5th ever trigger tonight and I still had to force myself to do the shot. . I do all my own shots as when I first cycled, DH and I were in different states for time. He knew I could do my own shots so was unwilling to do them for me when he actually were back in same place. I was actually fine with it, however for fear of doing it wrong and wanting more control I do my trigger in my thigh! OUCH! The hip is easier pain-wise, but a little harder to do physically.

I was just staring at my leg freaking for a couple minutes today! LOL! I just has to suck it up and do it! And it was just not that bad. There is a funny feeling when the needle hits the muscle but its not awful.

Glad your shots are going well!

Lynniecat - yikes, I would NOT be able to do the intramuscular shots on my own. No way, no how. Even though DH faints at the sight of needles, I would somehow convince him to do mine anyway. I could not even think of stabbing myself in my thigh or my buttocks. And the funny thing is.. I'm a nurse. I know exactly where it goes. I've given tons of shots to OTHERS, but the thought of giving it to myself? holy crap. I admire all you women who are able to inject yourself daily(?) with those PIO shots. I'm soooo glad my trigger is a SQ and for progesterone, I have vaginal suppositories. Boy was I glad to hear that! So anyway, a BIG pat on the back for having the courage to stab yourself!! :D

CJ -- Thanks and believe me... if I get a BFP, I will be here to cheer on you and anyone else cycling. Also, thanks for the pic compliments. I don't really consider myself to be photogenic though, but I'm known by my friends as the one who brings a camera everywhere! You just never know when there will be a "Kodak moment". But you do need to get some new pics if all you have are 25 years old!!! How old are your kids and how many do you have? I have to say, I have not had your gas issue in the luteal phase.

lynniecat -- Well, I pretended like I left something in my car and ran out there to inject myself. It wasn't too bad. 8 mm in two days is a lot! Wow!!! Good luck at ER. I hope everything fertilizes and turns into perfect embies! One in a million is bullshit btw.

nwquiz -- I know!!! I DO need to relax. Can you tell I'm totally Type A?

Hope -- How are stims going? Sounds like you got the injection thing down now. GL on Tuesday at your SnS, I'll be looking for your update.

Dys24 -- Crash anytime! Thanks for that info. I feel better. Today my E2 is up to 248 after 5 days of stims, but the follies are still pretty small. Grow, damnit, grow!

AFM -- SnS today. E2 is 248 after 5 days of stims and I've got 7 measurable follies between 8 and 12. There are 6 more < 8 still. I go back tomorrow to see if it's time to start Ganirelix. Grow follies, GROW damnit!

I had my S&S today. After 7 nights of stims E2 is 450. It was around 1680 or something on Thursday, and I started Cetrotide that night which they say causes a drop in E2. Lots of little unmeasurable follies. I go back Monday again.

Hi Ladies,

I haven't been here much. Just trying to move along with life and wait for our FET. Thought we were going to do that in Jan.; however, my dh has to have shoulder surgery so it's going to be April. Well, then dh comes to me today and says he thinks w/ his OT and our tax return we can swing one more fresh cycle. Oh I'm so excited but at the same time my emotions can't handle all of this. I do not know how you amazing ladies do it!!!!!

So right now we are hoping to scrimp (sp) and save and do a fresh cycle in April. I know it's not ideal. Because of my age time is a huge factor but April is the best we can do.

I didn't want to just drop out and y'all wonder "what ever happened to NancyB" :-) So this is our update. My brother and his wife just had a baby and the baby is ADORABLE but oh my so hard on me. It's weird to be so happy for someone and yet so sad for yourself.

Oh and if anyone has any meds to donate to us, we would be ever so grateful. We'll be needing Bravelle and Menopur.

Baby dust to all! Keep it up, girls. Think of y'all ALL.THE.TIME!!!!

Amanda - that is awesome that your are starting stims

NWQ- sorry you had a bad day at work, some people just don't understand... When I went through my first cycle I told my co worker what I was going through so she was very helpful other then that no one knows I am doing IVF at work... Hope you had a good weekend!

Lynniecat- good luck at ER

AFM- waiting on A/F as much as I want her here I hope she is a little late so the timing that I need off works with my work schedule... My DR office said they can keep me on Lupron a little longer if need be to work with my work schedule so that is good... A/f is suppose to arrive within the next few days then my next cycle begins... :) I hope this is the cycle for me 2011 has to be the Year :) Baby dust to everyone :)

Okay ladies, maybe this will come off as a stupid question, but I've been bleeding for the past 3 days now. Is that normal after coming off of BCP's (last one taken 1/9)? It's my 3rd day of stims today (and 11th day of Lupron), but what I thought may have just been spotting 3 days ago turned into a full flow menses. According to my nurse, anywhere between spotting to full flow menses is fine, but how does that affect my labs/stimming/cycle? So confused. I go in for my SnS this Tuesday, but worrying that something may not be right. Just need some reassurance, I guess.

Follistim is really making me grouchy and keeping me out of my element. Hope this feeling subsides soon because I'm making DH quite sad with my latest behavior.

Kynlee - staying inside during a snow storm sounds awesome. Stay safe and warm and I'll be continuing the AF dance for you!

Carol - Fingers crossed for a really surprising BFP - did you see Karen (vancouver)'s story? Surprise BFP for her, and Karian too --- so maybe you too!

Katie - I totally understand your fears of another loss. I lost my first IVF pregnancy at 22 weeks and when I got pregnant again, my only concern was how to avoid pre-term delivery.... then at 8 weeks, the baby's heart beat stopped. I was shocked. I had breezed through the first trimester in my first pregnancy.... now I am ABSOLUTELY terrified of another loss, either 1st or 2nd trimester.... hopefully neither of us will go through that again.

Amanda 1979- YAY! I'm so glad that you can start stimming! Stupid cyst...at least it didn't mess you up too badly!

Kimber - all this shopping for sperm donors makes me think about what I've "settled" for with DH!

Kelly (Bakers baby)
---- YAYAYAYAYAY! Happy and healthy 9 months to you!

Sunshine 1576
- I usually get AF 2-3 days after stopping BCP. It has nothing to do with your normal cycle - you get a period when you stop the hormones. I hope your surgery goes well!

Amanda (trusting) - I hope that meds adjustment did the trick and those follies are growing now!

SD - don't worry about it - nothing to apologize for. What is happening to your family is awful - you shouldn't worry about me and my vacation!

nwquiz - I did forget about you for the 4 days I was gone! That was the whole point of the vacation! I'm glad to hear you are gtetting ready to start again.... Just curious - why are they making you wait between teh BFN and trying again? I always have to wait a month between a BFN and another try, but that's because my insurance approval takes so long.

Kristin -
PUPO = Pregnant until Proven Otherwise --- ie, in the 2ww
PMA = positive mental attitude - being optimistic, not pessimistic.------ good luck today!

Lou - my doctor also said something about 'stirring up the lining' before a cycle may help implantation. He is having me do a pipelle biopsy right before I get my period before the stimming cycle (ie, day 16 of 21 on BCP).... I hope it works! I hope those follies grow nice and big. I'm sorry you are down, just try to keep up that PMA

Hope/Ashley -
-- OW! Stupid blood tech. I'm sorry - I've had that happen too! I always make them take from the left hand, so that if it hurts, I can still use my right (dominant) hand. Luckily, my clinic has a great blood lady--- but sometimes she isn't there and then OUCH!

Tiger- I've heard of this stuff (infertility, losing a child (or two), miscarriage) can really break up a marriage. I have friends who had a full term still birth and ended up divorcing a bit later ----- I'm so thankful for my husband and how strong our marriage is. This IF stuff is really hard, but at least we are doing it together. My DH isonly 2 years older than me... and he's still not mature! :D Enjoy redoing your bathroom! I'm jealous!

Lynnie -
Hi! I hope your ER went great today! Let us know!

Kat - congrats! I know it's disappointing to have fewer eggs than expected, but at least there were some. I hope your ET goes great - let us know!

Nancy - thanks for updating us. I'm sorry you aren't getting your FET now.... but I wish you best of luck in April! Hopefully, I'll be long gone to the "pregnant" board - but I'll come stalk you! And thanks for commenting that this is hard - so many people in my life don't understand. "Just do the 6th transfer - what's another one?" - They really dont undrerstand what a strain each cycle is. Thanks for that recognition. (sorry, no meds! Sent mine to Margi!)

Ginger - u/s tomorrow! I know you moved to the 'pregnant' boards - but update us on how the u/s goes!

AFM- Greece was awesome! Aaaaaahhhhh - a whole hell of a lot of relaxing. When we landed on Thursday, it was raining and freezing! We bundled up and tried to walk around, but we were too cold and wet. So we watched TV in the hotel and went to sleep early. Friday we spent all day exploring. There is an old town in Rhodes (from the middle ages) as well as some ruins and an archeological museum. Friday night, we went to the casino! Neither of us had ever been to casino! We had a blast but neither of us really understand the whole gambling thing. We didnt want to waste so much money - so we got 20Euro in tokens and played the 10 cent slot machines. Saturday we hung out on the beach (too cold to swim, but we sunbathed and read) and Saturday night we explored some more. Sunday we slept late and ate a really long breakfast before heading to the airport. Now it's 6pm Sunday night and we got home a few hours ago.... just going to chill tonight...

Tomorrow I have a beta--- yes, a beta hCg blood test. What a freakin' waste! Oh well, it's required before my HSG on Tuesday monring....

Greece pics coming soon.......
