Hmmmm someone asked about if we were going to do our nursery in green and yellows to keep it neutral... actually I think we're doing bright white trim, and 'beach' colors. Sandy browns, blue, sea-green and coral. I'm taking my two adult children's art that we've saved and framing it for art in the room.

Our nursery has been set up since last year, when we were expecting our little Johnny. I will be changing somethings out, and will need to double up on somethings since we've got double the trouble coming. Not much to be done though, just have to personalize it for these little guys...and we have to wait and see if we are having boys, girls or one of each. :) That will certainly change things. We will be finding out...I need my husband to stop calling them Frank and Fred. They so need names! haha

We're leaning toward the base colors of pale mint green and chocolate brown which we'll paint the walls. Then, depending on what we're having, other colors will be added. For instance, if we have two boys, one baby's bedding will be just green and brown and the other will be green, brown, with light blue. For a boy and a girl, we'll add light blue and light pink to the green and brown. We're not really considering the possibility of two girls since at the Nuchal Scan, the tech thought they were both boys. We figure that really increases the chance that at least one is a boy.

The names we have for sure are Jackson and Mackenzie. Middle names are still in deliberation, but they will have two middle names, my older kids do as well. The other boy name we may have finally agreed on is Brady. I love it, but DH has reservations about it due to fact the Patriots and I have a love affair every football season. DH despises Tom Brady. I think it's an adorable first name and I think he may be warming up to it.

Right now, our major "dilemma" is that we have this super cute sleigh crib that was handed down to us that we can't seem to find even a close match to. That being said, it sure is nice with that being my biggest worry right now... Knock on wood.

Sounds beautiful, Sonya! You will definitely have to post a couple pics so we can see how gorgeous it turns out!

Annshope-I am so sorry about your SIL. I understand what she is going through. It is never easy. The first trimester is so hard. I was able to see the heartbeat at the 6 week U/S but I am still worried that things will go wrong. My first miscarriage was discovered at 11 week US.
I feel pregnant but only see the OB every 4 weeks since this wasn't IVF. Boy I miss the weekly US from my first pregnancy.

I just bought a fetal doppler. When were you all able to find HB? I am 9 weeks 1 day today and couldn't find it today.

Hoping - I tried at 9w1d and didn't find it (though we were pretty much expecting that knowing that it was still early.) At 9w5d we were able to hear it galloping away in there. :D Like Sonya mentioned, it's going to be way down by the pubic bone at that point. Most likely within the next week or two you should be able to find it easily.

Hello Ladies!

I had my U/S today. My husband couldn't go because of a terrible cold and now I have it too! I went with my sister.

We heard a beautiful heart beat at 121 bpm and the doctor said everything looked great!. He will not be seeing us anymore, and I go to my regular OBGYB next week.

Have any of you had a cold while pregnant?...

Congratulations! Sorry about the cold...there is not much you can take. Sleep elevated to help you breathe easier, and drink lots of water. A little extra vitamin C in the form of orange juice won't hurt either. Sudafed used to be okay, but it's not anymore, and some pharmacists still recommend it. Not okay though. :) I hope you don't get it from hubby, it's not fun.

Karian,
Congrats on your US. I did have a cold 2 weeks ago. My son, 10months had 105 fevers for 5 days and passed his germs onto me! I took tylenol at night for the aches and was able to take tussin as needed. I only used it a few times. Hope you feel better soon. It isn't fun being sick while pregnant!

Thanks for the advice!.... Now to top it all off I haven't been able to sleep the last three days. I can't seem to get comfortable since I used to be a belly sleeper and now i'm uncomfortable like that too.

Maybe I'm anxious, but that shouldn't be the case tonight, after I some reassurance that everything looks fine. I've been sleeping in the couch the last three nights, that seems to help me fall asleep. I'll try warm milk tomorrow and a better snack at night, since I was hungry tonight and had to eat something at 2:30am.

Still i'm not complaining, I'm as happy as you can be!... With a cold and/or insomnia. :D
