I had my U/S today. My husband couldn't go because of a terrible cold and now I have it too! I went with my sister.

We heard a beautiful heart beat at 121 bpm and the doctor said everything looked great!. He will not be seeing us anymore, and I go to my regular OBGYB next week.

Have any of you had a cold while pregnant?...

I had a cold over the Christmas holiday that had me feeling horrible for about 8 days. No kidding. I took Tylenol for the aches and a mild fever that I had at one point. Ate lots of vitamin C and antioxidant rich foods which I think think did help around day 4. But it really took to about day 8 to feel even close to good. It really was hard. I did take benadryl a couple times when I couldn't sleep. But basically just used tylenol. Rest up and hope you feel better soon!

Also, those of you who are going for gender scans... Our baby wouldn't uncross her legs for some time. It took some poking and pushing to get her to move. I had heard that drinking a large glass of OJ before the visit would help get the baby moving. I drank a giant glass of OJ before the visit and nada, nope, she didn't want to wiggle - which is odd because she's usually very active.

Maybe try a Sprite soda or a different kind of juice because OJ did not do the job for us.

Rio~ I'm doing okay. Still on bedrest for the time being. My next ultrasound is on the 28th. The good news is that I am not passing clots like I was...I still have the occasional small one, but it's not a constant flow like it was just up until a few days ago. I hope that means it has stopped bleeding. I hope it's smaller when we go in next week. :) How are you doing?

Okay, twin Mama's I have a rather personal question....have any of you been cleared for fooling around in the bed room? My husband is going nuts. :) I told him not to get his hopes up, he thinks we will get the go ahead at the next appointment, and I'm not so sure we will ever get it. :|

Barbara - CONGRATS ON YOUR BABY GIRL!!!

Freckles - CONGRATS ON YOUR BABY BOY!!!

Rio - I love the Summer Baby 2011 list! Thank you so much for keeping up on it, and keeping it so cute! Feb 1st we should know what to add to mine as far as their genders.

Amanda - I'm with you, this is such an exciting time now that some of us are finding out genders! How far we've come! How's everything with you? I hope you're finally feeling better post-surgery.

Mellow - My OB said strict pelvic rest until at least two weeks have passed since ANY spotting. We finally reached the 2 week mark on Monday, but it's hard to bring ourselves to actually "spend time" together. Our last bleed was at 10 wks, and the day after our first time together since the ET. So, we are quite nervous about it since the last u/s showed both bleeds were still present. They are finally teeny tiny, but still there. Our poor DHs! I joke with mine about the irony of how little sex we've been able to have to actually conceive especially compared to how much we had and couldn't conceive. Maybe it's nature's way of balancing things out... Good luck deciding!

Hope everything is great with all the other fabulous preggo ladies on our board!

Freckles - How exciting that we have another gender announcement today!! YAY for your baby boy!! WOOHOO!!

Stephanie - I'm feeling so much better now, thanks for asking! What a difference a week made. I can't wait until you find out about the twins' gender on 2/1. My big u/s is 2/22 so I've got a few more weeks to wait until I find out.

And on the topic of fooling around, while I'm not a twin mama we'd been on pelvic rest until after the TAC surgery. Monday was our anniversary so we decided to give it a try for the first time in a long time. It was nice to have that intimacy back but I'll admit, we were both nervous wrecks!! No spotting or anything afterwards which was a relief so hopefully we'll be less nervous next time. The wait has been torture for both of us. :)

Ah the fooling around question ;) we are 12.5 weeks and we are not really cleared yet. Because of the twin that did not make it, the OB doesn't want us to stir things up. So DH has been going insane and we are both terrified of doing it.

2 more days and I will be in my second trimester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOOO! Got an US on Friday that DH can't go to :( and a Nuchal Test on Monday - need healthy baby prayers from all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Bunny - Congrats on the baby girl! I totally get your emotions at finally being able to buy some clothing! So much fun isn't it?

Freckles - Congrats on the baby boy! Your scan pictures are awesome.

Mellow - Glad to hear the bleed is slowing down. That must be a relief. Not being pg with twins, I can't really help you on the bedroom front - I did have a small bleed around week 8 and the DR said no action until week 12, but I must admit it didn't stop us from doing other stuff. :D

Rio - Good luck with the ultrasound on Friday and T2 is just so close now! Awesome!

AFM - Had a bit of a rough day yesterday. Being a bit further along than you guys, my concerns have shifted from bleeds and miscarriage to PTL or some other disaster. I've been feeling Bean moving around since before Christmas and it has been very regular and very active. The day before yesterday, I didn't feel anything at all. So by yesterday morning I was pretty worried. Then all day yesterday at work I still felt nothing, so when I left work I decided to see if I could get a DR's appointment and went in and had an hour's wait. In that time, I thought maybe I should ring the midwives at the hospital and see what they have to say. The midwife I spoke to asked me to come straight into the hospital, so I cancelled the DR appt and went straight in. The midwives were fantastic and saw me straight away. Doppler picked up a heart beat easily which certainly helped calm me down but because I'm high risk and they had me there anyway, they did a BP and urine check. BP was fine but urine showed another UTI (no symptoms again). They were also concerned that Bean might be a bit small, so to double check everything was OK, they did an US which showed Bean was quite happy and moving very actively with just the right amount of amniotic fluid but as they couldn't do any measurements with the US machine they were using I now have to go in for a formal US this week and back into hospital for another check next Tuesday. :(
