Natasha- It will be ok. Just a few more weeks. I wish I only had 2w left. :) I feel ok but since she is face up, when she moves her knees and other body parts hurt! :) Are you getting nervous? Sometimes I feel ok and then sometimes I feel overwhelmed and start to cry. Sorry to hear about the scar tissue. At least they have it figured out right? You go to the OB tomorrow for baby's weight check? Please update us as soon as possible. We're all thinking about you.
Oh and no...not dilating here. Nada....just a big comfy baby. LOL

Sara-Poor momma! Watch out for that ice! I remember oh too well the horrible ice storms we would have in KS. ICK! Thanks for the closet compliment. It was a pain to get in there but I'm happy we did it. It's the first thing DH did in the home improvement category do he as feeling pretty proud of himself. :) Any more updated pics of the twins? Deciding to work or not is a tough decision. I'm sorry you have to decide that. Being a teacher is such a rewarding job. I know you'll make it work for your family. <3

Steph- That's my worst thought...going through a C to find out she was small. UGH. Welll, obviously not my worst thought...but you know what I mean. I want to do what is safest for her. I would just like to do it vaginally so that I can contribute more in the beginning. I have to admit, I don't mind pain but I'm a little scared about this c-section. I guess I just really wanted to know what it felt like to give birth. I'm trying not to complain because I feel so blessed to even be able to have a child but I'd be lying if I didn't say I feel a bit gyped. Do you have a 2 story house? Just wondering how much it hurts to do the stairs. ICK!
Go get your butt checked out girl! I'm glad your brother is ok.
OH and YAY for the twins sleeping 10 hrs!!!! OMG I hope my "little" girl does that. Momma likes her sleep. 8)

Angela-I'm so sorry Gabriella is plugged up again. NO fun for that little girl! One of my friends is a nurse and she said that any time you give the baby a rectal temperature that it can kind of loosen things up. SO.....maybe just give her a little temp check? Stay warm with that snow. It's headed here for Friday. ICK!
DH will be home from Feb 6-March 1. SO plenty of time to help. I think my mother-in-law will be here too. Not sure how much "help" that will really be. She's going to want to take over and do things her way.

Gi- I still don't see the 18th on the Morning Show. :( Maybe soon. I tried to watch something else though and it told me that I could only stream video within Ireland. Well, that would suck now huh?
DH is home for now. He leaves again on Friday until Sunday. I had to read to him what you wrote about Jason gagging from the nursery. He frowned at me. HEE HEE. :) I thought it was hilarious. Poor Jason. I hope Kayla didn't leave him too bad of a surprise.

Katie- Is Ryan doing any better? It seems like we are reading the same books. WTE 1st year and Baby 411. I still feel overwhelmed. I can only imagine how I will feel when big girl is here. I hope you are staying warm. This weather has sucked lately. Another storm this week and then another next week.

AFM- Forgot to tell you all that I passed my Group B Strep. I don't have it. Not that it matters if we end up with a C. Thanks for all the advice on the recovery times. I'm really freaking out. I just want her to be safe. I just need some time to adjust to this idea.
Did anyone who had a C use a belly band or anything to hold your tummy tighter so it doesn't hurt as much?
On the plus side...we picked up our glider. Now we have to put it together. :) Well, maybe tomorrow.
Much love mommies! XOXO

Gi - Oh so happy that your tv debut went well and it wasnt too bad - i didnt get a chance to see it yet, but I'll watch it tomorrow. Ryan doesnt have colic just an inexperinced dad who was paying more attention to the football game than to burping his son properly - Men! I'm so proud of you ! - xoxo

Steph -Yay for getting a full nights sleep! Well almost, right? Yep those monitors pick up every little sound, mine is just audio but it will even pick up the sound of Gracie's collar or worse, her snoring when she's in our room, and then I get to hear it in stereo  Wait, so now Ethan is the little Emperor? Oh, my I cant believe that he yells for attention if your're not catering to him quick enough - hee hee now he's really reminding me of Ryan, lol. How is Lina doing? Just one more week til you'll (hoprfully) get a proper diagnosis on what the problem is, let the countdown begin. I'm just sorry that this has gone on for this long already  66 degrees there? I wish it was that warm here, I've spent yesterday and today shoveling snow, then came freezing rain, then more light snow, and today it was like slush falling from the sky - in other words wasting my time shoveling & deicing cause in an hour the driveway is like a skating rink again  Umm, you do know that tummy tucks are supposed to hurt ALOT, right? Its an interesting thought but I wonder how long the healing time would be for you and how would you take care of the super cuties without messing up your sutures? I keep telling myself that tomorrow i'll use the elliptical, but umm, somehow it never happens.. I LMAO at your "you know you're a mom" post, hey, I've already done a few of those  much love - xoxoxo

PA - OMG - 8lbs 9oz already? they say that it can be off by a lb over or under so lets not forget that also, I wonder how accurate it is when theres alot of amnio fliud? did they say definite c/s? listen to Steph & Angela - get up and walk the same dasy or it will be much worse if you wait til the next day and dont miss your pain meds or you'll have breakthrough pain and then it takes even longer to lower your pain. I dreaded the c/s and of course afterwards I thought it wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it was the hardest the 1st wk, wk 2 was a bit better and by wk 3 I felt pretty normal again. I love the pics! how cute are you mama? And ooh the closet looks great! - xoxo and yup, that storm DID suck!

Angela - aw honey, how frustrating to have her on the high calorie formula and know thats whats making her so constipated - ugh. Yeah, here too, they're saying another 6-10" of snow tomorrow  - xoxo

Natasha - Keep trying with Monkee, you have to be consistent with dog training, and everyone in the house needs to be on the same page or you'll just confuse him. umm, yeah, the swelling was pretty bad for me the last 2 months and it took about 3 wks after delivery for it to completely go away - ah, what we go through, huh? but you'll see how very worth it all of this was -soon!

Sara - Eeek! 350 a week?? OUCH! Aw honey there goes your paycheck. UGH for hitting the garage and falling on the ice - is it spring yet? please? Glad you didnt hurt yourself - xoxo

AFM - I've been trying to post since yesterday, but every time a get a few minutes to myself - theres something else waiting to get done, like snow / ice turning the driveway into a slip & slide, or laundry, or Gracie wants to go out, will I ever get a shower that lasts more than 5 minutes again? Oh well, you know I dont know how you twin mamas do it - i'm pretty organized, but whew! Ryan keeps me hopping! We got a little further with tummy time today - up to 5 minutes before he starting wailing, but each day its a bit longer, so thats ok. He seems to be startling easily lately, like sounds that never bothered him before now make him jump and they're sounds he hears all the time, like gracie barking, or the food processer, he flipped out and did frownie face followed by screaming when my neighbors came over last night and she touched his hand - I felt awful for her and she is the sweetest woman and when Ryan reacted like that she said "oh, he thinks I'm a monster" and then she looked like she was gonna cry too. I dont get it, he's met them a few times already and didnt go ballistic then, so why now? and of all the people to react like that with, he chooses a woman who cant have babies and doesnt want to talk about it, but her DH told me once that "she had a miscarrage and they had to give her a hysterectomy too" OMG, how devastating! I tread very lightly of the subject of babies around her, but she just lights up to see Ryan so it was so hard to see her with tears in her eyes because she thought the baby didnt like her - ugh. Like I said, I've wanted to post but girls, my brain is fried. Its probably because I finally got my first AF after delivery and oh boy - TMI alert, but I am soaking through super tampons in like 2-3 hours, I've read that the first AF will be heavy, but like this? wow I had to take 3 advil to bring the cramps down to a dull roar. i guess after not having had AF for 9 months while pg, but dont forget that thw whole year prior to that I cycled pretty much back to back so this is the first time in like 2 years that my body is in charge of AF, no wonder its like this  OK girls love to you all - but its time for bed and i could fall asleep right here, lol. - xoxoxo

PAFA,

You look gorgeous!! The other girls are right, the docs are just guessing!

Sara,

Glad you stopped in!. I am shocked by how much your child care is going to costs. That is really alot of $$$$$. Sorry to hear about your backing into garage door, it happens, especially when your mind is going a mile a minute with all you need to do!

afm, here is a link to my family pics, if anyone wants to take a quick look!

[quote="natasha10"]so i went to my appt today. egh it hurt im still hurting. But my OB just realized why my cervix isnt opening. but she says it felt like its thinning. I had a cryo procedure on my cervix like 7 yrs ago and she said what happened is it developed scar tissue and they didnt know that back then so they werent suppose to do it but thats what they no now. i think thats crap. but what can I do. Cuz I said they never told me I would have problems in the long run from that cervix surgery. so she said what usually happens is it rips under the scar tissue. if you ask me that just sounds awful. then what I develop more scar tissue from the ripping from this pregnancy. then what happens the next pregnancy. it just never gets better i swear theres always something. darn it. =( but we have an u/s fri the 21st for checking her weight.

quote]

Natasha- I can tell you with great certainty that if your cervix has scar tissue now, you'll have more issues after each delivery. I lost my twin pregnancy last July due to cervix incompetence that I didn't know I had. And I met a woman whose story sounds alot like your situation where she had scar tissue from a cervical procedure done way back...and her first pregnancy was fine...but after that vaginal delivery, she lost two healthy babies in middle/late second trimester b/c her cervix was weakened and went into labor. Her second baby was lost even with a vaginal cerclage. Like me, she had to get a transabdominal cerclage (called a TAC for short) to carry a pregnancy. I had a vaginal cerclage put on when I was pregnant with the twins that failed 4 weeks after it was put on and it gave me an infection...something they don't really tell you or do anything to try to prevent. Any who, I just want to give you a heads up about your possible future cervical issues. Most doctors will say a vaginal cerclage will work...and for some women they do, but for many they don't. Just be your own advocate and down the road if you have any issues when you are pregnant again...or thinking of getting pregnant again, feel free to email me! Once you have damage to the cervix it is weakened. Glad all is going well and you are almost done with this pregnancy!

Ronda-I LOVE your family pics!! Your daughters are so beautiful!  You are one hot mama too!! I love those candid shots of you with your daughter blowing leaves. Thanks for sharing pictures

Natasha-I had a lot of swelling and it got to be very painful. My doc. wasn't concerned until my blood pressure was high all the time along with the swelling. I think it is very normal but a big pain in the rear! Don't worry about a c-section-I was scared to death, but like everything else I managed to get through it and thought it wasn't so bad after a while.

PA-I understand the want to deliver vaginally, but if you have to have a c-section it will be okay. If I can live through it anyone can  I have steps in my house and the doc. warned me not to "overdo" it so we set up everything in our bedroom upstairs for the first week and I only went downstairs for meals. It worked out okay.

Katie-Where does the time go?! It sounds like you have miserable weather too (yeah, hahaha). Snow shoveling is a pain but you are getting a great workout mommy-style  I would really like the return of showers lasting over 5 minutes too-only moms realize that is a luxury!

Well, I had my van window fixed and it wasn't too expensive except...the windshield wiper motor was broken so I have to get that fixed. Couldn't be simple ofcourse! My DH and DD are home today for a snow day so I get to take a long shower and a nap. WOOHOO!!!! Life is good  I also forgot to mention that my grandma who had a heart attack at Christmas time is back home doing much better. I'm really excited for spring and nice weather so we can go back to visit her soon. Can I fast forward the days for the weather and rewind the days for the babies growing?!

Take care ladies!

Stephanie - How did it go using the video monitor last night? OMG, 10 hours of sleep is heaven … I’m coming to your house! 66 degrees, I can’t even imagine that temperature right now. It looks like a winter wonderland outside right now!

Sara – Thanks for the book idea. I really do need to have a book here at home that I can refer to. I know what it is like to have those days when it seems like everything goes wrong. I had several of those while I was pregnant. I am not sure if you read when I was backing into my garage while trying to avoid my DH’s SUV on my right and broke my driver side mirror off of my car! It was a mess to try and fix. I am glad that you got your back window fixed already and it wasn’t too much money! OUCH … $350 per week. I have said it before and will say it again … these daycare prices are outrageous!

Natasha – Don’t be nervous. There are plenty of women who have had C-sections in the past and would prefer one again rather than a vaginal delivery. So everyone feels differently about it. But, I know you will be just fine! Yes, the swelling did get worse for me towards the end of my pregnancy too. Just make sure they are monitoring your blood pressure when you have your appointments and your urine for protein. I was looking at your ticker and I already gave birth to Gabriella by the same time in my pregnancy, so that means you shouldn’t have too much longer until she will be here.

PA_FA – Yes, the rectal temperature did work before. I took her to the doctor a few weeks ago and as soon as we got home she finally went. I’m not sure if I said it before but I love the pictures! Great news about the Strep B results! I didn’t use a belly band after this delivery because you will soon see that after a C-section, anything that touches the area right after the surgery, irritates the incision and makes it hurt but I did use it after I had an ectopic pregnancy and had to have surgery and it helped so much!!!

Katie – I too just started my menstrual cycle for the first time since I delivered her and OMG --- are you right. I am soaking through a tampon every 2 hours, so I am using a tampon and a pad in case it soaks through. I kind of knew it was coming for the last week because I have been unusually tired and a bit moody. I just couldn’t get enough sleep in the past few days and it just had to be the few days where Gabriella has been fussier than normal and not sleeping as much as she was last week! Oh well …

Jamila – Please don’t apologize. I know how hard it is to be pregnant and get things done! But, you are in your last trimester … whooo hoooo! I can’t wait to see your beautiful baby girl!!!! Trust me; she will be here before you know it!

Ronda – OMG … your family is just beautiful. You are such a pretty woman and your daughters are so very cute!!! Where did you get your pictures taken? They look great!

AFM – My DH was at home today sick from a terrible cold and it couldn’t happened on a better day because the weather is absolutely horrible outside. I am not sure what is going on with Gabriella but she hasn’t been sleeping as well as she was last week. She is back to crying after I put her in her crib. I didn’t change anything with the routine but it isn’t working as well as it was. For example, I put her down after feeding and giving her a bath last night around 12am and she fell asleep for about 30 minutes and then she was crying again. I rocked her back to sleep and it only lasted a few minutes. After 3:30am, I fed her again and then finally she went off to sleep! I will keep trying though … oh and her pediatrician didn’t change her formula because when she finally does go, it isn’t hard indicating constipation but she is soooo uncomfortable and I told them about the terrible gassy feeling she has all through the day! So they told me I can buy over the counter Simethicone (gas reliever drops). So I did buy them today and I put it right in her formula and so far (knock on wood) it seems to be working. She isn’t doing that terrible straining to relieve her gas. So we will see!

Ladies – I finally was able to pamper myself a little today since my DH was at home sick. I took a 20 minutes bath in my Jacuzzi bath tub. It felt like I was in heaven! I haven’t been able to soak like that since before I was pregnant. I have been just taking showers because they are quicker but I enjoyed the bath today! It is funny because I am thoroughly enjoying the things I used to take for granted before Gabriella arrived … lol! Have a great night ladies!

karen- oh no!! i was afraid of that happening the second pregnancy. I figured if theres already scar tissue and it ripping below it would make more scar tissue and a bigger problem that makes sense. the Dr didnt really seem concerned or say much but that I was going to rip underneath the tissue so now im wondering. thanks for your input thats something to think about. now i'm kinda upset though. =( my husband wants to try again for a boy in a few yrs. i guess wwe'll just see what happens. you are already 3 months im thinking that time has been going slow but now that we see how far you are already it seems like i heard your news yesterday.

angela- yea you did have gabriella a bit early. I can feel that its coming soon today my back is achey my groining pain which i'm not sure is a contraction or not but its just sharp as all heck i cant move it hurts so bad at times. i'm definitely having them monitor my BP and so far its good, thats good you got time for yourself but not that your hubby is sick. the weather has been crazy lots of snow and cold weather. im hoping those gas drops work for her poor baby.

sara- im glad you got your car fixed and it wasnt outrageous. but those day care prices are. whoo thats alot.

katie- im trying but i swear he's getting worse. its irritating me. im home with him all day. he sees me more than anyone and i'm saying no to him all day with the biting and now he's been growling at me and Dh is mad. I just dont see why he isnt getting it by now

Hey ladies. At hospital in triage. Contractions every 5 mins. They have me hooked up to monitors now. We'll see if this is it or a false alarm. It hurts worse than the worst period cramp. Now they are telling me it's every 3 mins. They haven't checked me in yet to a room. I will try to keep you updated. Xoxo

OMG - It sounds like the real thing to me! I am so happy for you but those contractions are a killer, so don't hesitate to ask for some pain medications! Good luck!!!

ANNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD nothing. I'm back home. :( Still having contractions every 3-5 minutes but they said they are not the kind of contractions that bring on labor. WTF! I am only dilated 1cm. They had me walk around the L&D floor for an hour to see if I would dilate more. Nope. Just some of the worst contractions I have ever felt. I met the Dr who would give the epidural. I told him he'd be my new BFF if he could just give it to me now. LOL
After 3hrs in triage they sent me home and told me to come back if they got more intense. They are timed correctly but they need to see that they are stronger. Or if my water breaks, or if I start bleeding. SO....I guess we are just playing the wait and see game now. I had DH call in to work. He is supposed to be flying to Amsterdam right now. OOPS. I know he is frustrated. I really did not want him to miss work. He just lost a crap load of pay and I feel horrible.
ANyhow....on the upside, I now know exactly what a contraction feels like for me. :?

Cross your fingers ladies....I hope she comes soon. I don't want days of contractions. Sigh...

PA_FA – Don’t worry about it. Do you know how many people, physicians and all have thought that they were in labor only to be sent home? But, I think it won’t be long for you … maybe this weekend! I think it was great that you went to get checked out though because you never know. I know that it sucks that DH missed his flight but it is better to be safe than sorry and if you go into full labor this weekend, you will be very happy that he is there! How are you feeling now?

Angela- I just woke up from a nap. I could hardly keep my eyes open after today's events. My contractions seem to have stopped for a bit. I still feel the baby moving so that's good. The resident that checked me out suggested sex because there is something in sperm that is the same as what they administer to start contractions. UM...ok but maybe tomorrow. Sex is the last thing I want right now and DH is too freaked out that baby will kick during sex and he'd feel it. Feel it through my tummy, I mean. So who knows....
