RE called. 2 of my 3 were mature and they are doing ICSI on them. I'm sooooo nervous to have something to transfer on Monday. How am I going to make it through this weekend?

I'm having positive thoughts for those 2 eggs Lou! Keeping fingers and toes crossed that both will be snuggled in their home soon!

Kimber, that sounds great! So glad things are going so well I think 10 is great for just one ovary. If you have a good response, are you going to save some un-fertilized eggs for the future? I wish I had done that years ago, then I wouldn't be going through this now.

Margi... have you picked out a clinic yet? You need to find one that has its own blinkie for advertisement

i just have a burning question to ask you ladies. so when you have many follicles and during the retrival they get less than the number in the last sns does it mean we o'd earlier than the retrival or are they just empty follicles growing? any input?
i had seven good looking my last cycle and i just wonder why they empty or did i miss ovulation?

Nwquiz: With IUI it is more difficult to know than with IVF. Without a retrieval, when we do IUI there are lots of factors we don’t know. We don’t know how many were actually mature, how many were released, when ovulation actually occurred, etc. That is why I got so stressed out my last IUI when they wouldn’t see me on a Sunday and “hoped” I didn’t ovulate. I think that E2 level gives you some guidance regarding how many are mature, but even that isn’t always clear. Plus, you don’t know how many are genetically normal. How high was your E2 level last cycle?

Carol: I am really strongly leaning toward Southern California Reproductive Center. Almost everything I have been able to read about them seems positive and their stats are great. She told us we would have a two week wait for a consult, but we have one next Wed. Here we go!! I hope! Getting together my list of questions for the doctor. If all goes well we will go with them. If not, we have a couple other clinics we are looking at. Maybe I can get a discount if I put blinkies on their website? And, the more and more I hear from you, the more we seem like we are related! And given our histories…who know! LOL. I met my biological father for the first time 3 years ago and learned of my 6 half-siblings. And, I like your serenity prayer, too.

Kimber: 10 is excellent…especially with only one ovary! You go-you-follies-making-machine you!

Lou: I posted to you on the other thread….hang in there…think positively. We are all rooting for you and your fertilizing eggs...ImageImageImage

Tiger: No need to apologize about your POAS addiction. There are so many of us here that feed on it. Definitely pack the sticks!!! Have a great weekend and good luck with SnS on Monday.Image

Lauren1171: That is so weird about your pharmacy. I had the opposite. Being self pay I only wanted what I needed and not an entire box of Menopur, but he said they weren’t allowed to open it to sell just two vials?! So sorry about he bruising. :( Praying those follies grow darn it!!! Grow!!!Image

Rio: I can pee on a stick on a moment’s notice. 8) I don’t think I need any practice, but I will do it for if anyone needs me to take the lead!! There are some BFP out there...I know it....

Krcarja: Hoping that it is implantation bleeding indeed!!

Hope: Thanks for the welcome back. :D Sounds like you are getting some great report and great growth!! Keep it up. And won’t it be amazing to show your child(ren) photos of when they were follies?!?! Pretty darn cool I’d say.

Tammy: Where are you dear? You start stimming tomorrow right? Everything ok and on track?

AFM: We have a consultation with SCRC on Wednesday! She had told us there would be at least a 2 week wait but we got lucky! This weekend we will be completing all the forms and Monday I will fax everything. If all goes well with consult we will start as soon as possible! I can’t believe it. Getting my list of questions for the doctor together….any suggestions? Thank you ladies for all your support and great suggestions. You are all so amazing.

Wishing all of you a fabulous weekend!!! For all you ladies that are stimming, getting ready to stim, or are in the 2ww:

Margi:-
- will a cyst postpone my cycle?
- how long do you expect we will need to be in SoCal?
- how often do you do SnS?
- will you re-do the bw tests?
- do you batch patients together or do it individually?
- how do you feel about DHEA?
- will I be on BCP before I start stimming?
- what protocol would you suggest?
- do you recommend ICSI and Assisted Hatching?
- Are the offices ever closed? Is there an emergency number?
- how will they manage the stimms to reduce your risk of OHSS?
- If you do get OHSS would they coast you or do a freeze all cycle?
- how many embryos do you like to see on day 3 before going to day 5?
- how many 3d embryos would you transfer, how many blasts would you transfer?

Hi girls,
I'm sorry I havent been back on. We all have the stomach flu...bad. Real bad. Zach literally puke all over me 5x's...just missing my mouth once....sooo gross! I havent felt like being out of bed let alone online much. Quick update and then I'm going to go lay back down. I did make it to my day 3 baseline yesterday...but barely. Bill was too sick to give his back up sperm donation, although he tried. He has a backup at the old clinic...so if we really need it...we can always get it from there...or he can try again next Friday. We didnt tell them we were sick, though I think they knew. We were very careful...and honestly we just didnt want to put this cycle off.

AFC: 10 follicles, lining: 5.7, E2: 34...everything looks perfect. My doc is doing a completely different protocol per my request. I am starting 2 clomid pills a day tomorrow on day 5 till day 9, then I start a low dose of follistim of 150 on Tuesday, and then ganerilix when my follicles reach 14mm, probably Friday or Saturday. I dont go back for a SnS till Friday...then probably Sat and Sun, too. ER is approx Feb 1st. Weird, huh? But, I'm excited. My day 3 bloodwork just came back too. FSH: 7.8, it was 4.4 last month. LH: 2.2, it was .4 last month. AMH not back yet. I am pretty sure that my bloodwork last month was off due to it being 3 days after my chemical...so this is a better look at what we are really looking at...for those of you who were wondering.

I will try to read up as soon as I can get my eyes to focus. lol Personals later, I promise.

Hello girls
We went for our 9 day us & blood work. We now have 8 follicles :D one is12 the other are still 9 but the nurse said as long as they are all consistent we are good. We go back Sunday for another us. I think we will trigger Sunday or Monday night. Sorry for no personals but I am typing on my IPad & it takes awhile, but I hope everyone is doing great.

Tammy - My heart goes out to you. As if going through this process is not difficult enough, your whole family is sick on top of it. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Lou - Praying for you. It only takes one. That's it! Keep the faith. I know of a couple who only got one egg & it fertilized & poof they were pregnant! Watch some funny movies over the weekend to keep your mind off of it.

Subha - Welcome! There's lots of support on this board. I understand what you mean about the stress. I don't think the hubbies can possibly understand.

Sunshine - I am rooting for you too! Praying for you...

Kat - Thanks for the idea about the pill box. It's really sad. My Progesterone inserts come in packs of 3 which is my dose for the day so I should have been able to figure it out. I swore that I had taken it twice though. I have read that Progesterone can make you forgetful. I guess it does.

I am not noticing any systems. Only that I was really tired this afternoon so I took a nap. Also I my emotions have been all over the place. I was crying about really silly stuff (happy cries though) & today I was just feeling angry. And I have been very hungry. All of these things I think are side effects of the Meds. I really don't like putting all this stuff in my system. As for now I feel happy, but bloated. How about you, are you noticing any systems?

Kristin - I hope it's implantation bleeding. Praying for you...

Applejar - I feel your pain. I was having trouble with all the abbreviations too. Just ask & someone out here will be able to help you out. :)

Leora - Feb will be here before you know it. Wishing you much success in the next round. I actually new AF, but I have to admit I just learned that too. :)

Wishing everyone a happy weekend! Watch funny movies & try not to think about this stuff!

AFM - I really don't feel like I am pregnant. My emotions are all over the place & I feel fat! But, in general I'm feeling happy! :)

Lou - all it takes is one. i know this may not be a good analogy, but when i play beach volleyball and i'm down by alot and the opponent is two points away from winning...i tell myself that all it takes is one point to get us back in the game. all i do is focus on the one and say to myself it's mine! Once you have that mental image that its yours, you can achieve anything. keep focus on it and it'll be yours! Good luck.

Tiger04 - i don't think i've ever had a BFP. for the past 7 months, i've undergone 3 surgeries to have uterine polyps removed. in combination with my bf having low count, motility and morphology, it made getting pregnant hard. he does have a son from a previous marriage, but my polyps got in the way. Now all my polyps are gone and my uterus looks great. Today i started the first IVF cycle (stim Day 1). the injection did hurt alittle...not like the lupron i was on. is it suppose to hurt? or am i doing something wrong?

Tammy, I was reading that you are only doing clomid and low dose follistim for an IVF cycle. I didn't know they did that. I always thought they overstimmed with lots of meds. Why are they doing that protocol? I should start my meds next week. I respond pretty well to most meds - except femara for some reason - so hopefully I won't have to do too much... but I do have slow growers in there for some reason, as I have always been a late ovulator. I'm just trying to get a feel on the different types of protocols.

I hope everyone has a good weekend and we have some new bfps in here by Monday!
