Hi Ghost or someone who have experience with these protocols.
I just did an antagonist cycle(gonal f, menopaur, ganirelix) and might get a -ve beta result tomorrow. I have been given 2 options from my clinic. I can do an antagonist cycle as soon as i get my periods, or take BCP for 3 weeks and go for micro flare protocol which my RE think has a slightly better chance of getting better quality and number of eggs.
In my last cycle, they retrieved 11 eggs out of which 6 fertilized and one 8 cell and one 6 cell was transferred on day 3. the remaining 6 cell embryos didnt make it to freezing. Do you think I will do better in micro flare protocol? Is the success rate very significant for one protocol over the other in my case? if given a chance, i can't wait to start my next cycle today itself.
so my mind is strongly favoring for 1 more antagonist cycle and if it don't work, i can take a break for few months and try flare protocol. but i would like to get an opinion from a person who have better experience than me. is there any disadvantage in doing antagonist cycles back to back?

i also did an antagonist protocol ( follistim, menopur, ganerelix). and while the fresh transfer didnt work for me, they froze my embryos at day 3 and the following frozen cycle worked. this time they have switched me to the regular long lupron protocol - which is the most common one. the embryologist hopes for better quality eggs. i am just waiting to start stimms, so i dont know how it will work yet.

thanks lyd10 for your input..good to hear that antagonist cycle worked for you.. we are still confused about which protocol to follow for this cycle and we need to make up our mind by today or tomorrow..
is there anyone who have done both antagonist and microflare cycle? also has anyone done 2 antagonist cycles back to back? any inputs or opinion is highly appreciated..

Those are two common options, although I believe the flare protocols are more usually offered in older patients with low reserve. I've seen flare cycles that fizzled and some that really took off compared to antagonist cycles in the same patient.
Antagonist cycles can work back to back, and some clinics prefer them for exactly that reason.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
I am a poor responder (no more than 4 eggs retrieved). I have done the long lupron protocol (bfp), micro-flare (bfn) which gave me the poorest quality of embies, and an antagonist protocol (bfp). For me , the antagonist produced the best quality of embies, I even had two left over to freeze.
