I weigh myself on the same morning of each week, before I've eaten. If it's normal for some people to gain and lose weight, hopefully it's normal for some to hold steady occasionally. I have another growth scan next week, so hopefully the babies have put on the right amount of weight.

Jamila, your post sounds like it came straight from my Facebook status updates :) I was doing and feeling really well, but this week has been really rough. Everything you mentioned x2 has had me feeling achy, starting to swell in my ankles and waking up no less than twice at night to go to the restroom. I'm praying it's just a weekly fluke and not what is to come for the remainder of the 13 weeks I have to go :)

Either way, I remind myself there is a miracle (2 in my case) taking place inside my body, so I couldn't have possibly thought that it would come at no cost at all. I'm just slowing down even more and taking it easy, in hopes that reduces these symptoms.

Take care and thanks for sharing, glad to know I'm not the only one. :)

Hi Ladies!! Sorry Renee' not a fluke. I too felt pretty good until about a week ago. It reminds me of the last 4-6 weeks when I was pregnant with my son. It will be intersting how the end goes. Are you all taking any birth classes? I have been looking at the website and trying to decide if I should. I fee like I have not seen the boys in a while and I am ready to have an US. I have to wait until the 17th.

Justelikehannah it's funny to see that we are going trough the same thing it's hoorible, but it's for a good reason I think i found a solution I started walking 30 minutes a day since Saturday, I am feeling better since then less pain at night, you might want to try taking a walk. I think the pain when I am getting up from a chair, or walking up the stairs is due to the loosening of the ligaments in the sacroiliac joints, and the strong weight-bearing joints in the pelvis. I am comited to keep walking until my due date, hoping that I will feel better in the next 12 weeks. Also my co-workers have decided to throw my baby shower on January 29, I am excited, because it's been a month since i saw them the last time.

Katie sorry about not feeling good too we are in the same boat, so how is your son doing? I am planning to go to the hospital this week or sometimes next week to do my registration, I know they offer birthing classes since I used to work there i will see if i get a discount or a free enrollement. I know for a fact that my insurance doesn't cover it, but I am attending a breastfeeding, and a car seat safety workshop at Babys R US this month, I am excited for that.

Take care ladies and take it easy.

Hi All-Hope everyone's pregnancy is going well.

JustLikeHannah-how was your glucose test on Monday? The orange drink they gave me made me slightly ill but I managed to keep it all down until after the blood was drawn. I passed, so I don't have to do the longer 3-4 hour test.

Growth scan was this morning and went well. Things look okay and the babies are both around 2 and a half pounds. The girl has moved yet again and is back in the head down position. She is a little squirmer and seems to be in a different position every time I have a growth scan. At least she has moved most of her body away from my stomach. The boy seems determined to settle himself right on top of my bladder, so I feel like I have go to the bathroom constantly.

Also, I too seem to have days when I just don't feel well at all. I almost feel like I am coming down with something. I go to bed early that night and will usually feel better the next day. But I am starting to have those "off" days.

Reenie glad to hear that you and the babies are doing well, the babies are growing very good that is reassuring, I understand about the baby sitting on your bladder my daughter does the same thing at night so the nights are not that pleasant. Sorry about the fact that you are not feeling good, i was experiencing the same thing a week ago, but now i am feeling better.

Justlikehannah how are you doing? and how was your glucose test? i hope you and the babies are doing well.

KatieG How are you doing mama? I hope you are doing alright, long time, so have taken the birthing classes yet?

AFM I took the breasfeeding class it was interesting, I am going for the car seat class with my hubby next week. now i am doing much better, but not much appetite it's normal on the last trimester not to have appetite because the baby is taken the space on your stomach. i am going for an U/S the 21 to see how the baby is growing i am excited about that and my baby shower on the 29. Take care and it easy.

Jamila - I forgot to answer your question from earlier about my husband being Nigerian. Yes, he is... but completely American raised even though his parents were born and raised in Nigeria. After 8+ years I'm still trying to get use to it :) I'm taking the breastfeeding class next Wed and am hoping it's very helpful and the instructor talks about twins specifically.

AFM - I believe my glucose test was fine, but I haven't heard anything official back from the Dr. They had some new red drink that tasted like a watered down fruit punch juice box, so it was pretty good. I was able to get it down, go through my u/s, and draw blood with no issues. Yay :) Both babies were about 2lbs and the Dr mentioned that my boy is head down (right on my bladder) and my girl is making her way on down. So we're hoping they get down and stay down for a better chance at a vaginal birth. We went to our 2nd of 4 childbirth/infant care class which was alright. It's been nearly 12 years and we wanted to get refreshed in all the things that may have changed in the past decade, hehe. My only issue is that is not twins specific at all so we find ourselves having to ask, "so what would the scenario be in our situation?" But next week is the hospital tour, so that should be cool.

Overall, I'm feeling "o-k". I'm having to place very close attention on my water intake because I noticed I was having a few Braxton hicks and drinking more water helped. Hope all of you are feeling well. The clock is ticking... Thank goodness!

Had an OB appointment yesterday and my blood pressure has shot up beyond normal. Doc wants me to start taking time off from work each week. It's so frustrating. Things were going so well but seems like my body decided that the 3rd trimester is the time to start acting up. I'm going to do everything I can to avoid having to go on full bedrest. I put on 2 pounds last week, which can't help. I think with twins I should be around 1-1.5 pounds weight gain a week, so I'm probably eating too much. Funny, just a few weeks ago, I thought I wasn't eating enough.

Reenie sorry about the hight blood pressure, just take it easy so you can avoid being on strict bedrest, so finally you have gained some weight, i don't think 2 pound is allright. Take care and take it easy at home and at work

Justlikehannah I guess no knews for your glucose test is good news, me i allways give the office a call after every test to find out the result. It's great the kids will have the chance to visit Nigeria one day, people from Africa are very nice and welcoming. You are doing the right thing for the braxton hicks, drinking lots of water is the solution.

Katie How are you i hope are doing allright.

Sunshine star if you are still following us, i would like to know how you are doing it has been long time. I hope you are doing great please let me how things are with you.

AFM my husband and I went for the car seat class this afternoon it was ok, I also did my registration at the hospital. I am getting so exshauted lately, i can't wait for this baby to come out, take care ladies.

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Hope everything is going smoothly!

I think the babies are having their final growth spurt. I've got about 8 weeks left and have put on another 2 pounds this week. Went to the OB yesterday and blood pressure was down again, back to normal. He still wants to monitor me closely. I'm not sure what caused that spike up last week. Another growth scan coming up in early February. I will be curious to see how much weight they have put on.

Anyone's knees hurt? I'm starting to have trouble walking up and down stairs.

Hi ladies! Glad to see everyone is having a somewhat non eventful month. The aches have started all over but I guess the end is quickly approaching. I still dont have names ironed out but I guess that will have to come soon. I get so darn stressed that I can't decide/agree with DH. We havn't really talked much about it last weekend so I will bring it up again within the next few days. My weight gain sure did jump up. I'm right at about 24-25 pounds as of last week. They don't seemed concerned but I don't want to double that and this is the time the pounds start stacking. Reenie I am glad your BP went back down. Mine went up real high one day and was fine at my appointment a few days later. I was getting dizzy and so I had it checked at work and it was high. I was already going to the doc I the next day or so for my sugar test and thats what I thought the dizzyness was from. Sure enough everything was okay. Jamalia I am glad your finally able to gain so weight and that you have an US soon. Thats always fun. I am going to the doc every 2 weeks but I don't think he will do an US every time. Most likly everyother until he brings me in weekly. Have you all registered at the hopsital? We are going to in the next few weeks when DH can get off work. Well take care!

Hey ladies i just came back from my OB appointment the heart beat is good, the height of the fundus measure 31cm the ob said it's the normal range. I have been feeling horrible since yesterday my stomach is streching and it is very painfull like hell it looks like it's swollen my OB said that it's due to the baby growing. I am having hard time walking i hope this will go away soon the worse is the baby is sitting on the spot and i have not gained weight for a month now. I completed the hospital registration, my baby shower is this saturday then we will start decoreting the nursery.

Katie glad to see that you are doing ok and your blood pressure is ok now, we have not decided on the final name yet so you are not the only one when come to that.

Reenie how are you feeling, i hope you and the babies are doing great.

Take care ladies.

Today is one of my off days. Not feeling so good and I think my belly is stretching too because the babies are growing. I feel tight all over-could also be the way they are positioned. My knees are killing me and I'm constantly tired (even with iron supplements). I'm in the home stretch so I kind of expected this. OB wants to see me every week from here on. I pre-registered at our hospital, too. I have a growth scan in early Feb so I'm very curious to see how much they've grown-my fundal height is 37 weeks! KatieG, do you get your fundal height measured regularly?
