Hi June Buddies!
Hope you are all ok today?
Loopy - Well done on still not smoking! Good on you!! Glad your down regging is going okay and you are escaping those awful hot flushes! I cut out alcohol straight away BUT that was mainly because I didn't want extra headaches (which I'm prone to) and I know that the odd drink seems to be absolutely fine as far as I know.. I am also on 3 amps of menopur like you! 2nd jab down today and going fine.... (also, sorry but don't know about the hcg..)
Aly - Hope you are doing ok? Not long till tuesday!! And good idea with the pampering - go for it...
Debra - Sounds like you have been really busy! Hope that is making the time fly by!! I had to stop taking on my work right from down reg, and blimey thought time had actually started going backwards? But on track now it's all happening....
Dagny - Are we supposed to have sunshine again soon then????!! It's been POURING down today and need a bit of sunshine this weekend!! Hope you get some news from the hospital today... :D
And how are the June 2ww's???? Dana and Bro - hope you are doing ok!!
Kt, Lyns and Staci - How are you all getting on?

Hi girls
Well had my scan on Friday and linning is 7.7 which they tell me is OK but I'm a bit concerned as when I had my IVF they said they liked it to be over 8.5. They now tell me it's the quality that matters not the thickness which I'm a bit dubious about! anyway my donor is ready and E/C is monday at 11.30 DH is going on his own and I'll have to wait to know how many eggs we have got. E/T is now booked in for Thursday 11.00am. So hopefully that will happen. feeling ok now DH and I have had a chat and I think we are getting there slowly, hopefully we can get back on track once all the pressure of scans, donors, and money have been dealt with. loopy good to hear from you, glad the down regging is going ok, keep off the cigs!, Debra how are you going AF started yet? Kel good luck on the injections I know that they are pretty tough! Dana and Bro how is the 2ww going? hopefully joinging you soon. Dagny how are you getting on any news from the clinic? Right off to clean the fridge and oven, for some reason I've decided to clean everything I think it's called nesting!
love and hugs to everyone

Aly,

Best wishes for lots of eggs on Mon! I'm sure things will get better with DH once all of this is over with. My DH and I were having problems during my last cycle as well. There were a few times when I honestly regretted even trying IVF since it seemed like our marriage was falling apart as a result. Although he acts like it doesn't bother him, I think that he feels like everything I had to go through was his fault (due to male factor infertility) and anytime I complained or stressed about something, he sort of took it as my blaming him (which, of course, I wasn't). We have a strong marriage (as I'm sure you do as well) or we wouldn't have even undertaken IVF, but the stress of infertility and IVF really tests it at times.

Hope everyone else is doing well. I'm just waiting for AF to show up so I can get started. I'm on Day 21 of my cycle and, according to my ovulation monitor, haven't even ovulated yet so it looks like it may be awhile before I can get going. That is ok since I am not feeling quite ready yet anyway... still a little pessimistic and having a hard time feeling like we're not just wasting more money.

Hi JCB's.....it's late Saturday pm and I'm having more hot flushes. Our weather turned today and it's been raining non-stop, but my internal central heating system is working just a bit too well.

Kt, I don't know how I missed that you were having EC today (did you tell us???), well done on 8 -esp. if you were thinking 5, I think it's quite normal that the last few days of meds puts on a real surge. Enjoy putting your feet up and preparing for ET. Will you take time afterwards? I did the first time but not the 2nd or 3rd. It gets so boring even though we all feel better for doing it. I liked the bat/magpie story :)

Loopy. The dizziness was short-lived, thank goodness. But as above, lots of flushes and feel very bloated but that's probably AF which started Thursday. I had real pains this morning and wanted to take some painkillers, but didn't, although I'm sure they wouldn't have done any harm. I'm guessing our dates might be about the same. Even though I'm on different drugs. I've an extra scan on the 14th and the regular one on 17th. My schedule from the clinic stops then and they'll give me more info after they've taken a look. I've no real idea of when EC/ET might be. I've had to accept work through to the end of June but hopefully (!) will have to cancel some. I had some wine and beer in Holland last week, but not much. Nothing since. Can't help with the hcg as I'm on Puregon which doesn't need refridg...OK that's as far as I got before suddenly remembering I kept the drugs in the fridge last time. DF just read the Puregon blurb (my small print Norwegian isn't that good) and yes, it needs to be under 25 degrees. THANK YOU LOOPY. You made me check and do this. They've been sitting in our hall cupboard which isn't warm so would have been OK I'm sure.

Staci - you're right to recognise that pessimism and doubt are all part of the process - unfortunately. Seems very normal to swing from highs to lows and be plagued by worries throughout the whole process. Keep posting and reading and we'll all do our best to help one another.

Aly - don't worry too much about the lining depth, it's very close to what you think they're looking for plus you've another few days. These last few days are usually pretty productive. The drugs will do their job and as far as the eggs go - you only need one, at best two to be ready for Thursday. That's all it will take to make you a mummy! The clinic would have said more if they were concerned.

Better go. I'm not doing well with sleep. Getting WAY too hot at night for good rest. I had about 5 hours last night so am due some quality zzzzz's tonight!

take care and a relaxing/positive Sunday for us all tomorrow.
love
Debra.

Hello JCB's

Hope we are all having a nice relaxing Sunday :D

Kt - Well done on getting 8 eggs. I didn't know you were having EC as would have wished you all the best. It sounds like it went well which is a relief. Just remember to keep up the fluids. Let us know how ET goes?

Debra - I use Puregon and have always kept it in the fridge! When they send them to you it is in a box with ice packs so I expect they have to be cold. I have to warm them up a bit though before injecting as it doesn't sting so much. If I inject straight from the fridge it hurts like hell. Thankgoodness you realised you had to put them in there as that would have been a bit costly

Staci - I hope you don't have to wait too long to get going. I know what a pain it is sitting around waiting and chomping at the bit. I am still waiting for a date!! My AF is due around the 14th and nothing has been finalised yet. I am getting a bit worried now. Lets hope we both can get some positive news soon.

Aly - All the best for tomorrow and hope it all goes well! Are your oven and fridge sparkling clean?

Dana & Bro - Pulling your hair out yet?? Hope the 2ww isn't dragging too much.

Loopy - Keep up the no smoking. Well done. Hope the down regging is going well still.

Lyns - How are you??

Kel - How is the jabbing going? Did you vote on the poll?

I am still waiting for a start date - story of my life  I am bored of waiting now!

Take care everyone.

Love Dagny xkx

Hi Girls
Well been a bit of a rollercoaster ride this weekend. Satrday evening I started bleeding. I'm nor supposed to as I've been downregged phoned the doctor who told be I was only the 2nd person in all of his 10 years that this has happened to. Basically my body has over ridden the prostap given to make me down reg and hence the bleed, not good in light of the fact that E/T is due for Thursday. Anyway had to go in for a scan to see what's going on and basically the uterus is still 7.7 so it's holing in there and the bleeding had stoppedish still some old blood but no red stuff (sorry tmi). I then found out that the donor has had 28 eggs  , yes thats right and we have 14  , so tomorrow after we know how many have fertilized we are going to make a decision on if we put any back or freeze the lot. the dctor thinks it's very unlikely I could fall pregnant as I've been bleeding but if we have lots of fertilized eggs we may just give it a go and see. So I have decided to stay off work as I'm mentally drained. I'm going to sit in the garden and try and relax hopefully my womb will get the message and do likewise! will catch up with everyone tomorrow take care

Hi JuneBuds! 8)
Aly - Blimey, what a weekend! Glad you are having some time off now, make sure you re-charge your energy....And 14 eggs!! That's great!!Really keeping my fingers crossed that everything settles down for you and you can go for ET on Thursday....
Kt - Well done on EC! When is ET? Good luck!
Debra - How's the internal heating system going?? Hope you are getting some sleep? I've now invested in a 50p plastic mini fan - ahhhhh most needed for those moments!!!
Loopy - Glad you are getting the sunshine! Hows the down regging going? My EC is planned for a week today (14th)!!!
Dagny - How are you doing? Are you having nice sunshine too? Keep those polls going, I have got my vote in!!! You are funny!!
Hope everyone else is ok too??

Well I have been sunning it myself too today - lovely 8) On day 5 now of stimms which is going fine, crampy belly but I'm glad as being the paranoid person I am if the pain goes away a bit I think it's not working!! Had a blood test today, then my next scan & blood test is on Wednesday - just want to know it's going ok!

Enough rambling for now I think....!

Hi, very quick post just to say 'congrats' to Aly. How wonderful to have 14 eggs for fertilization. I really hope good number, if not all, get through the next stage. Big call on whether to ET on Thursday or not, good decision to sit in the garden and think it through.

Loopy, well done for getting through the first 2 weeks of not smoking. From June 1 all bars, restaurants and cafes are smoke-free here. I'm so damned glad! We can sit anywhere we like -previously everywhere was divded although sometimes only with space vs. a wall.

Kt, I hope ET went well today. Take it easy and enjoy being pg!

Hi and hugs to everyone else.

love
Debra

Aly,

14 eggs?! What great results!! You have to be very happy about that.

As far as the bleeding, I'm not sure what to say about that as I haven't read anything about that happening. My clinic has told me that they have a lot of success with frozen transfers and that some women only seem to get pregnant with the frozen transfers so, if you do end up having to wait to do a FET, your chances should still be very good....not to mention it looks like you'd have several tries with that many eggs!
