Margi - LOL! I have never had a stalker before :D Thanks for the well wishes.

RPH - Good luck with your retrieval. You can expect some cramping similar to a period and spotting. You will probably be a little out of it b/c of the anesthesia, but I have always been able to go into work the day after the procedure. Just take it easy.

Hi everyone- thanks for the positive thoughts

Kerri- I am 5 days post transfer. I think I can do a preg test in another 6 days? By then I will be on vacation with hubby. So I hope we will be celebrating. Taking progesterone oil shots now. Program levels are good when high but I wonder if my levels aree too high? My dr is not worried,so I guess I shouldn't be either.

RPH- good luck with the retrieval. I think it is easier cuz they basically put you to sleep. You feel a bit woozy and crampy so just go home and relax. The next day- wear loose clothes!! I always feel so bloated. Let us know how it goes and # of embryos

Eggandprayer-
While I have had 4-6 embryos transferred in previous IVFs, they never resulted in a BFP. So a higher number doesn't mean you will see better results. It only takes 1. What is your FSH? Did dr use lower levels of Stims?? This may be reason why you have fewer embryo. Also, did you do a 3 day or 5 day transfer?

I pray for BFP for all of us! :!:

layer, I hope that you will be celebrating the same day next week :-) After all, we have gone so far already. When I was at 2ww period last time, I had to take 200mg progesterone through the vagina. After beta was measured, the nurse asked me to add another 200mg orally. It did not sound good but at least we know high level of progesterone is wanted during this period.

rph, I think “retrieval” is the easiest part of the process. At this point, I know how many follicles have grown and don't know how many eggs are fertilised; plus, I can finally take a break from all the shots. Since the procedure is not so bad, I tend to celebrate a bit; it somehow shows me that I succeed at the first stage of IVF.

AFM, I survived the second day of stim. It is hard to have a FSH shot every 12 hours. I wonder why it would work better than having a shot every 24 hours. Anyone knows?

Layers- I am one day post transfer. I am one day post transfer. About 40 min post transfer I started having a pinching, "twinging" pain/feeling in my lower left stomach area. It lasted for a few minutes and went away. But I have noticed this same feeling off and on today, it may only last a couple minutes but I have felt it several times. Im not sure what this means either.

It seems most people here have done with stims. I am on my Day 3 of stims. I had echo and blood test today. Should start with GnRH antagonist on Sunday.

Kerri- We used donor egg so I don't know much about the stim process. Approx how may does does it last?

Another question- what is a "chemical pregnancy?"

Dallas, I test 2/4 too. Not sure how to receive the news. Don't want to get upset at work should that be the case...
Layers, how about you?

Wishing everyone lots of good health and luck.

hi Ladies-

a chemical pregnancy means that you lose the pregnancy within a couple of weeks. most women don't even know that they were pregnant because it happens before 5-6 weeks of pregnancy. this has happened to me twice. supossedly, the chromosomes were abnormal and this is the bodys way to terminate. Still it is devasting to get the positive news only to get bad news 2 weeks later.

I test on 2/4 as well!!! keeping my fingers crossed for all of us. :!:

ladies, i am so devasted right now.... a friend told me today she was 12 weeks pregnant. It was an "accident" as she wasn't planning to get pregnant yet. It was like a knife in my chest. To top it off, she is having twins! i am happy for her. truley. but this really hurts. she does know about what i am going thru and this feels like a betrayal of some sort. i don't really know what to do. I am trying to be excited for her but it is hard.

12 weeks pregnant with twins by accident. Geez. Some people have all the luck. Avoid this poor unsuspecting woman like the plague so you don't kick her in the shins. Just kidding. Good luck to her and good luck to people who need it, LIKE US!
