She weight 8 lbs and 10 oz becuz they messed up on my labor today her inflammation went down and is 8lbs and 2 lbs. i'll show you all pics when i get home of the difference. I knew i should have switched dr's from the beginning and hospitals. This is just awful. i ended up havining a c section after 16 hrs of labour and the nurse was wrong with my dilation progress. my dr came in and told her it was 6 not 8 and i was in labor too long. so it was a nite mare. I just want to keep you all updated. ttys mommas

Natasha - Congratulations mama!!! Oh, honey I'm sorry that you had a hard time during labor and then had to have a c/s anyway, it was the same for me. But now you finally have your little girl in your arms safe & sound! Rest up and take care- xoxo

Angela - Good luck with nutri system! it should make dieting a lot easier when you dont have to figure anything out and you're eating prepared meals, well at least quicker, right? How is Gabriella liking her bumbo chair? i've foung that its the easiet place to cut Ryan's nails which I seem to have to do 2x week. How much longer until you have to go back to work? - xoxo

Gi - Wheeee! Kayla is 9 wks already! Where does the time go? And now the little lass is buying herself a jumpy chair too? aw how sweet is that? Ah, yes, Ryan has become a drooling machine also, I have to change his shirt a few times each day, but with all the laundry these little ones create, whats a few more shirts, right? I hope the steroid cream clears up her neck quickly. Ooooh, enjoy a night out just the 2 of you! - xoxo

PA - Honey, are you snowed in still? I'm wondering how bad you guys got it, since my fave RE was closed yesterday and I've never seen that happen before, so I'm guessing you all got ALOT of snow, we got lucky and only got 8" for a change. OK, honey, you're too far along to disappear, lol, whenever you dont post for a bit we all think that you're in labor now - OMG, maybe you are? Soooooo exciting!! - xoxo

AFM - I've just been busy, busy, busy. You know the routine, somehow half the day is gone before you know when you're lost in babyland, right? Ryan is using his hands a little bit more now, but still not in control of them yet, I guess we're getting there though. And boy does he have his thumb in his mouth all the time now! I'm dying to know what he weighs since he is sooo heavy to carry around. I'm trying to really push tummy time now because he is really starting to move all over in his crib! I found he had gotten away from the positioner the other night and found it all the way on the other side of the crib! EeeK, scary!
I try to read often but most times dont have the time to post, but I'm thinking of you all... - xoxoxo

Natasha – Congratulations!! I am so sorry that you had a horrible experience. But, I am so very happy that you and Nataliah are safe and sound. I too was induced only to have to have a C-section and I wasn’t happy about it but it was what needed to happen. I hope that you get to go home soon!

Natasha,

Congrats on the arrival of your baby girl! I am so glad you finally got to meet her. Sorry to hear the road to delivery was not good, but worth it in the end! Look forward to seeing pics and hearing your birth story!

Natasha- I hope you get to go home soon. We are all here waiting to hear what happened and support you through it all. I'm glad you both are fine. She was quite a big girl huh? Didn't they think she was a pound less? Best wishes new mommy!

Katie- I'm here I'm here...Don't worry. She didn't show up during the storm. I think we got around 12 or so inches. No baby yet...she is snug as a bug.

Gi- Sticky toffee pudding!!!!!!!!! I will be on the next plane! OMG that sounds so good. It's my fave dessert. I need some clotted cream with it though! :)

AFM- Had my NST today. She was rollin around like crazy. Her heart looks great, she's not engaging and is just having fun swimming around and causing me pain. :) I hope to find out more on Tuesday at my next NST, fluid check and OB appt. Tue will be 38w. So I hope they can tell me something. The next day DH leaves for 4 days of flying. He's staying in the states though, just Houston and Orlando. So I am looking for baby sitters to come over incase my water breaks in the middle of the night.
My dresser is FINALLY here!!!!!!! They will deliver it tomorrow. Thank God!
No other info here. Just hanging out and waiting. SIGH.... I know I'm going to miss pregnancy but I really want to meet her! :D

LADIES!!! Wow, I guess I've been MIA longer than I thought. I am going to miss soooo many personals I'm sure, but I'll try my best.

Natasha - CONGRATS!! I am so sorry for your rough delivery, but so glad you all are ok! Can't wait to see pics!

PA - Do NOT feel bad about your scare and keeping your DH home! I understand, I would feel the same way, but you had no idea. Glad he is staying closer to home because pretty soon you will be having that little girl!

Franca - Still feeling crappy? Your little one will be here sooo soon and it will be a distant memory. But oh, OH how bad does the end of pregnancy suck??

Sara - So glad the twins are doing well! How was your first (or was it second?) week back to work?

Katie - Ryan is SOOO adorable! I'm so glad you all are doing well and he's giving you a little more time. My girls have to just suck it up sometimes and cry...this mommy only has so much time! Tonight they were screaming, but I just closed the door and let them cry while I read to the big kids and put them to bed. They are always fine, but wow it gets loud in this house! And I am THRILLED you will be trying again in just a few months!

Steph - 10 hours!! Are they still doing that or was it just a one time blessing? Either way, progress is progress and it sounds like you are getting more sleep. How is Lina doing with her reflux? We switched to the Similac Sensitive for Spit up (we were using Fussiness and Gas) and now they barely spit up. I know it didn't work for my one friend, but didn't know if you had tried that specific brand. The pictures are so cute. So happy for you and Katie, finding a great home for those embies!

Anglea - How's the sleep going? Isn't so frustrating when they sleep well and all of the sudden revert back?? Sounds like she started doing well again, so that's great.

Karen - How are you feeling woman?

Rhonda - I did 4H when I was a kid! It wasn't as intense as what your girls are in (I think), but I loved it.

AFM - So it seemed as though Amelia's reflux was getting worse as far as pain goes, and I convinced her ped to put her on Prevacid. It didn't help, also seemed to make it worse, and then I noticed her hemangioma (which is on her head and quite large) started forming little black scabs. I looked it up and it seemed like they were the beginnings of ulcers, so I took her in. The ped said no, and within 5 days she was in constant screaming pain, wouldn't eat well, and her head just looked like it had an open wound. I was FURIOUS! I ended up taking her to urgent care on Sunday and she ended up needing antibiotics for the infection she got.

The next day I got her in to see a hematologist who started her on prednisone and within 24 hours her hemangioma started getting better and she was no longer in pain. I finally got my happy baby back! So needless to say, I am switching pediatricians. I've been there for four years, but they have missed so much in just the past 12 weeks that I am not staying with them. She is still on antibiotics and I switched her back to Zantac which is now working since she is actually on the right dose.

Other than that, everything is great. They generally wake up once between 9pm-7am to eat, usually sleeping 6-8 hours at a time. I think they are just NOW 10 pounds! Amelia lost weight last week, but I think she has made it up. They are 12 weeks and have the cutest smiles. We took all the kids to Disney today (the babies' first trip), so that was fun. I feel like I am finally starting to become myself again, though I'll be super happy when they decide to sleep 12 hours!

Gi – I hope that you enjoyed the ice cream and pudding … that sounds like heaven! Yeah, you are right about the diet. I can’t wait until I can start to work out again. I tried to do sit-ups the other day and I about died because of the pain because of my C-section incision. So I will stick to walking for now. I wish that it was warmer outside because I could walk in my community. I think the fresh air would do Gabriella some good too.

Natasha – hopefully you are settling into your warm home right now with your DH and Nataliah. Those first few weeks at home can be a little overwhelming so tried to remember that it will all get easier as you guys get into a routine.

Katie – Thanks for the well wishes with my diet. The first few days were a big struggle but I have been sticking with it so far. But, I did cheat a little last night. We went to a very nice steak house last night and afterwards we listened to the band that was playing. Gabriella only sits in her Bumbo chair every once in awhile because she is still trying to master sitting up while holding up her head. She hasn’t gotten the hang of it yet.... she will sit in it for a little while and then fall over to the side! I think she likes her New Born Lounger better so far. I will go back to work the last week in February. Unfortunately, my first day will be a business trip to Las Vegas instead of being local. But, I am just going to do it and get it over with … I know that it will be hard but there are three of us who all had kids around the same time and will be attending the meeting so we can lean on each other I suppose.

PA_FA – I am glad that you are doing well. So she is just swimming around in there … I am sure that she is nice and comfy in there. Good luck with your appointment on Tuesday, I am sure that you will be just fine. I am glad that your DH is staying in the states so that he can return if needed. I am sure that makes you feel better too! I can’t wait to see the pics of your dresser.

Babyluv – It is great to hear from you. I saw on FB that everyone in your house is all well, which is great! I hope everyone wasn’t sick too long.

Sleep is going better … well some days I suppose. For example, last night she slept 7 ½ hours and then woke up to be fed and changed and then went back to sleep for another 3 hours. But, the problem is that she isn’t consistent with her sleep schedule yet. But, I woke up and couldn’t believe that she slept that long. I am going out of town towards the end of the month for business and I hope that her schedule is a lot better for my DH because he has to go to work so very early in the morning and needs a little sleep at night.

AFM – I have actually been able to get some sleep over the weekend, which is a nice change for sure. I am already dreading going back to work already because they are driving me nuts and I am still on leave! I decided to return to work a week early so that I can attend an important business meeting, so I will just take the week of vacation that I would have taken later this year. So anyway, I tried to book my flight back home, if I didn’t leave Vegas at 11:30am I wouldn’t get home until 11:49pm Friday night! So I thought that they would compromise because I am doing them a favor by coming back early but oh no they said I couldn’t leave until after 2pm on Friday. I was sooo very furious because I couldn’t believe it! So I ended up booking a 1:40pm flight out from Vegas transferring planes in Atlanta but it is the last flight out for the night so if there is a delay I will be stranded in Atlanta for the night and I will be so very pissed off. My manager drives me crazy sometimes because it seems like she will not stand up for us and make waves. If I had another manager, I know that it wouldn’t be a problem. Oh well, I will just have to deal with it for now I suppose.

Hello all you beautiful mamas! I just wanted to say hello and that I haven't forgotten about you. As well as a big ole CONGRATULATIONS to Natasha for little Nataliah's arrival!

I have been sick as well as everyone else and you know what that means for mom... no chance to rest regardless of the nasty bug going around. So between not being able to breathe and the babies having issues at night, there isn't much sleep either. They still lay down for 8-10 hours, but they whine and cry a bit more for binkies, keeping me up and running back and forth to the nursery. I can't wait for this to run it's course. Laundry and other things hasn't gotten completed, I just can't find the energy. I hope everyone is well, sorry no personals... I will get back on track when I am feeling a little better. Much love to all of you and those babies!

OK, so my optimism at being able to post properly again was a bit misplaced - things have been crazy with the new house and trying to sort out the existing house ready for the house move in 9 days, plus juggling things with George! I haven't been able to read properly either so I'm very behind on everyone's news. However, here goes with some personals while George is catching a quick catnap - let's hope he stays asleep for long enough for me to get to most of you!!

PA_FA - oh honey, you've really been having a time of it. Are you feeling ok now - is your back pain still bad? Have they checked the level of amniotic fluid this week? Not long until baby girl puts in an appearance however it ends up happening, so hang in there! Did you and DH decide to try sex to get things going? We did a few times when I was coming up to term and then overdue, but it was a bit of a logistical challenge given how big I was, and didn't work anyway - Zorba would still be in there now, I'm sure, if the hospital hadn't induced me and given him his marching orders! I lost my mucus plug too, over about the space of 4 days, triggered by having two (of four in total!) stretch & sweeps close together but it still didn't meant that labour was starting! Did you do what Steph suggested and google pictures to see if it was the mucus plug going? Don't stress too much about having a c-section - as someone who gave birth to a 9lb 4.5oz monster vaginally, I can tell you that's no picnic either! What matters is that both of you come out the other side safely and we'll do whatever is needed, huh? It's all worth it, I promise. Oh, and I'm another one with a baby who HATES tummy time, so I've been very naughty and not really done it properly. But I bought a fantastic Lamaze thing (think it's called a Spin and Explore) the other week which is a raised turntable platform which the baby lies on - you can turn them round so they see things, and when they are a little older they can work out how to touch and kick the ground to spin themselves. George loves it so tummy time has become less traumatic for both of us! p.s. Loving the nursery, and that gorgeous bump!

natasha - yay, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Like the others, I look forward to hearing all about it and seeing pictures of Nataliah! p.s I'm way late responding to your post about Monkee, but when our dogs were little they used to jump up and bite on our arms when they were puppies. For the jumping, we used to turn our backs on them immediately when they did it (ie they are trying to get your attention by doing it and if you turn your back on them they learn that it actually has the opposite effect) and for the biting we used to squeal in as highpitched voice as we could, then turn our backs on them, to teach them that they hurt us by doing it and also that it meant that they lost our attention if they bit. Didn't take either of them long to pick up on the messages being given. Hopefully Monkee will stop soon, particularly now that Nataliah is here.

Katie - how's the gorgeous Little Emporer these days? LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that smiley picture! I read your story about him crying with your nice neighbour and it reminded me so much of what George does - if he's tired or people hold him in a way he doesn't like (he knows his own mind on how he likes to be held!) he'll start screaming, and I feel just awful for the nice person who mistakenly thought they were going to hold a nice cuddly baby! And yes, the first AF after birth is horrendous (not sure whether you remember my post at the time, but it was scary heavy) but the good news is that after that it calms down again. I've just had my third and they are back to normal now, plus back on a 28-30 cycle. It's funny how quickly some parts of your body get back to normal! Even if the weight doesn't - I've lost about 45 pounds but still have 20 to go!

angela - how are things with you and the lovely Gabriella? That's tough about having to go back to work even earlier than you wanted to, and I can't believe your manager isn't suggesting that you get off early from your business trip to make sure you're back home at a sensible time! As I said to Katie, the first AF is really scary heavy but then it gets back to normal. I didn't have it stop and then restart though. p.s. I loved the photos on FB of Gabriella in her Bumbo, she looks so cute! We borrowed one from a friend to test it out but George's fat legs were too big for him to fit in it!!

Karen - you're probably not checking for answers to your question any more but my input (for what it's worth) is that there's no real way to make changing the bedding a doddle. What we did was buy a lot of small cheap white towels and I put a towel over the sheet at about head height and tuck it in securely both sides so if he is sick in the night, I can just take the towel off and leave the dry sheet underneath. Saves changing the sheets in the middle of the night, that is unless he's sick more than once!

gi - do you still have a baby who likes napping during the day? How jealous am I??? George seems to get a bit better at taking a nap one day and then the next day is determined to fight sleep at all costs! I tried looking up your TV interview but I couldn't see your piece on the website - have they not loaded it or was I not looking in the right place? Would really love to see it. How was your night away at the weekend?

Steph - honey, so sorry to read that you've not been well. What with how much you have on your plate, I'm sure that's really not welcome! How is it having your friend living with you? Is it insanely busy having three young babies under one roof?

Sara - always so happy to hear from you and to hear that your little angels are doing well.

Franca - how are you? Not long to go now. Did your period like symptoms go away? I had those on and off since about 37 weeks, including some bouts of sharper pain, but they never meant anything. To answer your question, George engaged about 38 weeks but (as with everything else for me!) it didn't mean labour was coming imminently because I was still induced at 41 weeks 4 days.

Babyluv - poor Amelia, thank goodness her Mummy was switched on even if the doctor wasn't. Just goes to show that our instinct is quite often the most important thing when our babies aren't well. Loved your Disney pictures on FB!

Claudia - how's things with you and Madi?

AFM, all is going OK, but mad busy trying to get ready for the house move. George is gorgeous (me, biased???) and getting heavier and heavier. He weighed in at just under 18lbs at 18 weeks, which does explain why my arms are killing me most of the time! We went swimming for the first time two weeks ago and he absolutely loved it! We went to a swimming class with about a dozen other babies where you swish them in the water and sing songs etc to get them used to moving around in the water, which is just so cute. There's also a safety side to it, teaching them to hold onto the rail at the side, and the babies even get put underwater to make sure they know how to go under without breathing water in - apparently it's an instinctive thing they do until the age of 16 months which I guess makes sense if you think that they spent their first 9 months rolling around in amniotic fluid! George has such a funny look on his face when he comes up each time after being out underwater - sort of "Mum, what the hell was that???".

Right, gotta go, George has been very patient with me but is now demanding my attention!

Hi girls,

Hazel great to hear George is thrieving!!!! Sounds like he loves his swimming, i think we will take Kayla soon though i may invest in a swimming togs as i dont think i can carry off a bikini just yet!!!! I too am bad about tummy time i just seem to forget i feel guilty but i better cop on!!!! Yeah Kayla still loving her naps  she is still snoring her head off as i type..thats nearly a 4 hr nap  and yesterday she napped for 3 hrs woke for 2 then back down for another 2.5 hr nap and she still had a good night sleep, i am taking advantage of it while i still can!!

Angela how are you finding it back at work, i still have another 3 mths maternity left and i dread the thoughts of it!!!! Kayla seems to have the same night time routine as Gabrielle, she goes for around 6-7 hrs then feeds then back down for another 3, she is such a little moucher in her sleep constanly making noises i keep thinking she is awake (thank God for video Monitors!!!) but she is fast asleep, i am such a light sleeper it keeps me awake while jason snores his head off. A SIL minded her sat night and she couldnt believe how much noise she makes when she is asleep i dont thing SIL got any sleep!! As for doing situps i only tried for the 1st time today and managed to do 50 i will slowly build it up as i dont want to do any damage (i normally do around 500 a day but with a baby i wonder will i find the time!!)

Katie yeah dont the days just fly by!!!! I do be running around like a blue arse fly getting things done or working out that i dont think i sit down all day, i try to play with Kayla for about 30min after each feed then she is wreaked tired again and wants to sleep so my day consists of feeding playing, clean house, feed play, workout, feed play iron/wash clothes, feed play cook dinner!!!! If you have noticed there is no mention of eating in there...just no time!!! oh but i soooo love it all!!!

Natasha Big Congrats on the birth of your little girl, i am so sorry to hear it was traumatic but thankfully both of ye are ok now. Cant believe another one of us had a C-section it seems to be a popular way of giving birth on this site!!

Babyluv ahhh poor Amelia sounds like you had a rough time but glad to hear she is doing better, you must have felt so useless watching her in pain when the old ped. wouldnt do much about it, i am glad you changed you need to have faith in your ped. we dont have them here (i suppose maybe if you paid privately???).

Steph i hope you and your household are feeling better, take care of yourself with twins you must be just so busy the housework can wait.

PA Under 2 wks left!!!!!! Isnt it exciting to know that anyday now you could have your baby!!!!

Okay so Kayla has just woken from her marathon nap and is full of the giggles but i sense a bottle is due any sec now!!!! Hopefully i can keep her awake for a few hrs so she will sleep longer tonight

PA - More snow is supposed to be heading our way, ugh, please enough already! And this one is slotted to have all the freezing ice too, yay for that lovely northeastern weather  How are you feeling honey? I'll bet that you're more than ready to meet your little girl, huh? When are they thinking to induce? or has it been decided that a c/s is imminent? X'd that your DH makes it home safely tomorrow - xoxo

Babyluv - Oh, poor Amelia! I cant believe that your soon to be ex PED dropped the ball so badly! Thankfully you were on top of her care and had it resolved quickly. Yay for the girls to be sleeping almost through the night now - it will be pretty soon that you'll get to sleep all night I bet. Girl, 2 big kids and 2 babies to Disney? You must have been really on your toes for that outing! hope it was a blast - xoxo

Angela - Aw, honey to go back to work early and they give you such a hard time regarding scheduling? Thats so not right. They should be happy that you were willing to come back early and go straight on a business trip, i'm hoping that you that you make it home without a hitch and dont get stuck in Atlanta overnight. How is little Gabriella doing? She'll be able to hold her head up longer any day now. How are you liking the nutrsystem program? - xoxo

Steph - aw honey, hope you all are feeling better now, must be so hard to keep up being Super Mom when you feel crappy. Try to rest up and feel better, ok? - miss you & love u lots - xoxo

Hazel - So glad you and Sir George are doing great. Congrats again on your dream house, I've got a feeling that trying to pack and move with an active little one is next to impossible, but you'll get it done. Oooh, swim lessons, what a fab idea! I didnt know that about their breathing and instinctively knowing how to deal with water - does that mean they'll learn to swim easier if you start them before 16 months? I've been hibernating pretty much through this winter, this has been the worst one in years, so swimming sounds so soothing right about now. We have a pool, but we need to replace the inner liner this summer, but I've been thinking / wondering how much Ryan will like it - he loves baths so my guess would be that he'll love it. Good luck with the move, when the chaos settles down we'd love to see how it cam out. Missed you.. - xoxo

Gi - Ok, count me in too- I'm soooo jealous of Kayla's napping schedule too! Oh, how i wish Ryan would get on that program! I could get so much done! yeah, its busy, busy at my house too - hee hee I'm womdering how i've put back weight since it seems like I never get a chance to eat either. Ahh, they'll only be this little for such a short time, we have to enjoy it now before they try to keep growing, now if only they wouldnt grow up, right? lol. Gi, what would you say the name is for proper Irish dance? before I embarrass myself and call it the wrong name, I'm thinking of the type of dance that Michael Flatley does? - xoxo

AFM - Today was a rough one, since this boy hardly ever cries, when he finally decides to - he really lets it go. He had one of those hidden burps that wont come up and the poor guy wasnt happy about it at all! I ended up giving hi that gripe water and it did the trick in like 30 min - but it took me forever to figure out what was bugging him, I really thought he was just overtired since he barely napped all day - I feel like such an idiot sometimes. I should be able to figure him out sooner than I did - its so hard to watch him get so upset that his face turns purple and he geta so hot. Today i feel like "dumb mom" Well the whole day wasnt a total wash I guess, since I did figure out pretty quick that whether I like it or not, his little nose was so stuffy that it took quite a few times to get it cleared with his aspirator thing. at least i wasnt clueless about that, right? So then no ones baby like tummy time either then, huh? If it were me, i wouldnt like it either I think. I think Ryan is the only one that still dislikes the bouncy chair though? Its like he has a timer for that thing or something - after 10-15 min - thats it, he's done with it. I did get a picture of him in the bouncy chair and gracie with her paw on it like she was trying help out  i havent even put in the computer yet, but i'll post it when I get it sorted out. Hey, on a high note, I think Ryan is finally growing some hair! Well at least on the top of his head that is, the back of his head has actually gotten balder if thats possible, lol. But his fuzz is definitely looking more like hair now instead of him sporting the Homer Simson look - haha

OK so since I seem to be the last person on Earth not on FB - I give in- finally. I dont want to lose touch with you girls so PM me if you want to "friend" me..
Gee you gotta love a website that makes you sound like a second grader, huh?
But bear with me since i'm giving FB another go and not too familar with how to navigate it, ok?

I didn't have time to read...just a quick update. I was at the hospital again tonight. Contractions 3 mins apart. Still only dilated to 1cm. SIGH...they gave me tylonol with codine and sent me home to sleep. Huge ice storm coming, more snow. I have a NST, fluid check and OB appt tomorrow. I'm a little loopy from the codine but I can still feel those stupid contractions. I wouldn't mind them if I knew they were actually helping me dilate...but no. They are just causing lots of pain. SIGH...maybe I will know more tomorrow.

I saw some of you posted but if I try to read now I won't remember it anyhow. LOL giggle...this stuff feels good.
NIght ladies. I'll do personals tomorrow after the OB. Maybe with better news for me??? xoxo
