Hi girls-

Sorry for the delay - couldn't make it to a computer yesterday. RE retrieved 7 (LUCKY SEVEN???) eggs yesterday and called this morn to tell me that 5 fertilized with Mr. Right's swimmers :D
RE was very happy with my results based on my issues and only having the one ovary. I'm keeping my PMA right now. They are monitoring for whether to do day 3 or 5. Should know more tomorrow.
They drained most of the fluid from that problem cyst and no signs of infection as of yet. Just a little crampy and bloated and tired.

Kat & Lynniecat - So sorry for your results!

Hi all. Hope you are all having a nice weekend.

Kat- Crap. I have heard so often women say they feel like AF is coming then get a bfp. I was so hoping that was going to be you. I'm very sorry.

Katie- Thanks for crashing. I love it. I had cramping dpo 5-7. Today is 8 dpo and nothing. I took a hpt to see if maybe I did have an early implantation but it was as negative as they come. I feel really down and i shouldn't have done it.

Ronda - I'm so happy I inspired you to work out regularly! As you know, it is one of my passions. I bet you feel fantastic.

AFM- I'm updating from my darn phone so I'm keeping this short. I POAS today at 8dpo because it's my mothers birthday and I thought maybe she'd have a message for me. It was negative as expected. DH is working all weekend and everyone I know is busy so aside from lunch with the friend who wasn't talking to me, I'm pretty much going to be alone watching tennis all weekend.

Kimber - 5 fertilized embies sound very promising! awesome! I won't hear back from my embryologist till Monday :? I'm anxious to know how many would make the cut for a day 5 transfer. Technically, I'm already in the 2ww since my beta is scheduled for 2/11. When is yours?

Lou - As you know, it is still very early to test. Hoping and praying for your positive result. You soo deserve it!

jkulab - which route are you doing your trigger? IM or SubQ? Mine was SubQ although it could have been done either way as advised by my RE. She did say that the subq route would sting more (as it surely did), but wouldn't last that long (mine lasted for half hour to an hour - totally manageable). I'd take the stinging feeling over doing an IM shot any day. It's really not that bad though; similar to shots that you have already been taking. Good luck!

Hope-Yipee!!! Just relax and visualize your embies growing and growing to blasts!!!

Tiger and Lauren- I know a BFP is on its way!!

Lou-We will look at the cramping as a good sign. Especially since its stopped. Keep PMA. Remember the butterflys and just focus on feeling rested and relaxed. I truly believe the acupuncture helped me alot!! maybe you can go again to relax you. Keeping stress to a minimum is crucial. My acupuncturist some how mananged to keep me (type A personality) calm and relaxed.

Lynnie-I'm sorry to hear that but maybe the DHEA will work!

Tammy-I have type 2 diabetes and am on metformin and insulin so if you have any questions or just need support on living as a diabetic I definitely understand. I have very well controlled sugars my most recent A1C was 5.5. which is what non-diabetics have. My endocronologist had me on a tight regimen....fasting below 85 and 1 hour after eating less than 125. Are you seeing an endocronologist who specializes in pregnancy? My RE set me up with mine before I got pregnant so everything would be in line before hand. My doctor said anything above 6.2 A1c increases miscarriages, the great news is metformin reduces the chance of miscarriages greatly!!!!!!!! :D

Leorira- I am praying for a healthy baby. My doctor said be prepared for the possibility of two but I just want a healthy child(ren). You are so right! Everything I've read makes me scared of twins.. especially my age, diabetes, and my mothers hx of miscarriages.

As for everyone considering adoption....I have two beautiful boys (9,6) I adopted as a single mom while I was a foster care/adoption social worker (talk about bringing your work home with you-literally :D ). I can honestly say it was the BEST decision I have ever made (well....marrying my hubby comes close :) ). I got my oldest when he was 15 months old,he was in fostercare. My 2nd son I was blessed to help deliver...it was a private adoption. If you guys have any questions, comments, or concerns let me know. I did all the foster care and adoption recruiting, training, and retaining for 9 years. Its my passion. My children know they are adopted and they know it just means they grew in my heart not my belly but they are mine mine mine....I have had to learn to share parenting with my husband, he loves them unconditionally and its funny how my family forgets they are adopted. For example, I have asthma and they were real concerned when my youngest son started wheezing one day...they were like dont forget to tell the dr. about our family hx of asthma. I had to laugh and remind them that our family hx doesnt really have an impact on my youngests hx. Adoption is a great option!!!!!

Krcaja - What state are you in? I am in Massachusetts and I look at the online photolisting a lot for kids in foster care who are legally free for adoption. Those are usually 6 and over. We have talked about it and our main issue is that my DH has a 10 year old daughter who is her 50% of the time. He worries about getting a kid with emotional issues and it affecting her. I have a friend who went through the whole process and was on a list for a baby. They litterally called her a week later to say they had a baby boy but she had to get him right then totally unprepared. He is 7 now and adorable! I would totally do it for an under 2 year old. After we are done with this ivf stuff I am going to let them do the homestudy.

Hi Lauren...I'm in NC. Typically the children who are free for adoption are going to be over 6 or if they are under 6 they ae going to have some sort of emotional, physical, psychological issues. However, fostering first gives you the chance to get to know the child, see if it is a good fit, and it gives you the option of becoming a permanent home. It also runs the risk of the child being returned to the biofamily or parents. I am NOT trying to discourage at all but there are ways to manuever within the system to make sure your family and a child in need are put together for the best needs of the child and your family. PM me if you want to discuss things further. I would love to share advice. I'm sitting here looking at my 2 playing math games on the computer now counting my blessings!!!! My oldest was born drug exposed (not addicted) which DOES make a difference. But he is 100+% fine. He is a A/B student, athlete, cub scout, and all around great kid!!! I know as his mom I'm biased but everyone (teachers, coaches, cub scout leaders, etc) say he is an absolute sweet heart!!! :D

Lauren-I just reread my post and I need to clarify I meant the kids legally free to adopt under 6 are the ones with the most issues and are hardest to place. It is for various reasons which if you care you can PM and I can go into detail. The system really sucks!!! As you already know as we struggle to conceive the world is filled with idiots that continue to have children even though they are clearly unfit or dont want to be parents.

Margi – don’t you worry! When I get that BFP, you ladies will know right after DH! I’ll have to figure out how to post a pic, but I will figure it out!! I am so glad that your OBGYN has done this before and when things fall into place like this, don’t you feel like this is what was meant to be? I am going to be doing the AF dance for you! I really hope that DH can spend additional days in CA with you!

LYD- I hope this cycle goes great for you! You’ll have to go to Costco to stock up on Gatorade!

SDTrying- That is such a great way to think about it! I AM going to enjoy this from day 1! So glad you are back! How is your SIL doing? I’ve been thinking about you.

Samantha – how terrible. I am just so very sorry for your cousin. Do you mind if I ask what happened? I will be praying for a speedy recovery! This is such a hard decision. I know you will make the right one.

Tammy –

Leora – I hear you, it took all of my might to just not steal her! Why couldn’t I just take her home? And yes, that should have been enough. Hello? What’s wrong with these people!

Jeib – I’ve had that happen too. Sometimes different people measure things differently. HA! That’s hysterical about the couch! Awesome news about ER on Monday. Everything will go great and bf is going to have to suck it up about the super bowl. This one is a little deeper, so I like to ice the spot for awhile. If you do that, you won’t feel anything!

Kerri- congrats on getting to the next level! Sounds like you are stimming really well! Can’t wait to hear how the next appointment goes! When do you go back?

Lou – you and I are stuck together! I’m so glad we are in the 2ww together. This is going to be it for both of us, but you have to promise to get back your PMA! Please! Okay, seriously it is early. Please keep up the PMA. I’ll be watching tennis too. I wish we were closer, because Dh is at poker night tonight and you and I could have watched a movie!

Hope – that is awesome! 15 eggs is amazing! Can’t wait to hear about your fert report!

Carol – I make DH do all the shots too! I’m so afraid of needles, I can’t even look at them! When I get my blood drawn at the clinic, I think the woman thinks I’m crazy because I sit there with my eyes closed! When is your first SnS?

Riogirl – thanks for the well wishes! I hope to be joining you soon!

Lauren – HA! You are so funny. I think that sounds like a great idea, use your tax return for a FET! When was your IUI? I started the suppositories 1 day after the second IUI. I didn’t do the suppositories after the first one, so it depends on your treatment.

Chris – that’s right. We’re all done when WE say were done. How are you doing? It’s getting so close for you now! Details….

Sherry – how exciting!

Kat- I am so very sorry for the negative result. I know how terrible it is. Yell, scream, BIG GLASS OF WINE!

Amanda – 5 eggs is great! I’m so glad that they were all mature, that the fluid is gone and that your lining is great! Everything is just wonderful! I can’t wait for you to be PUPO and have a wonderful pregnancy!

Tammy - I am just thrilled by your cycle! Looks like changing up everything really made a big difference! I’m really really happy! I can’t wait to hear how your next SnS goes! I agree, I would be really open with Zach about IVF. I don’t think there is anything to hide.

Lynnie cat – I am so very sorry to hear that. What do you think are next steps? How are you feeling?

Darlene – your beta is any day now!

Kimber – congrats on 7 and what a great fert report with 5. That’s fantastic!!!

Krcaja – that’s awesome that you were able to adopt. If this doesn’t work for us, DH and I would really like to be foster parents. We have so much to give. You are an amazing woman.

Katie – I love hearing from you! I forgot, did you have any eggs to freeze?

AFM: I’m feeling pulling sensations and I’m not sure if it’s implantation or gas. Seriously, I think I’m now making things up. I really hate the 2ww. Lauren, Lou, and Darlene, how we all doing? I am just thinking and praying that this will work all the time. It is all I think about now. Well, I’m going to watch Candace Olson’s show on HGTV (I’m totally addicted) and hang low. DH has poker night with the guys, so I’m all alone! Totally not used to it, but I got my nails done tonight and went to the grocery store, so that’s good!

Lots of love to you all. Sorry to anyone I may have missed!

Does anyone else get really bad cramps on endometrin? I've only taken 2 so far and im dreading taking the third one later tonight. I came back home early from my niece's birthday party because I started feeling awfully crappy and everyone was asking me what's wrong. Gosh, what do you say to that? I also threw up earlier today after taking the first one. I couldn't even finish showering without having to sit down in the bath tub. Oh, it has been terrible! Are these symptoms going to subside?

Sorry, but crashing again

Tiger - Girl everyone hates the 2ww, its the time you're most likely to drive yourself completely mad. The more you try to not think about it, the more you just cant help yourself. Try to keep yourself busy and stay positive, ok? Me?, oh no, not only did I have nothing to freeze, but my last ER (ivf attempt #6)they retreived nothing, nada, not even one, in the midst of my hysterical reaction my RE offered us donor embies and at that point I was exhausted from cycling over & over again and realized what a true gift he was offering and said yes. I never looked back and cannot figure out what I did to deserve such a blessing. Never give up girl - there are so many options out there! Wishing you sticky thoughts honey - xoxo

Lou - Aw, girl you know darn well that 8dpo is the same as 5dp3dt - and thats waaay too early to even have hcg in your blood yet, never mind urine! You know this, I know that your mom is looking over you (remember those butterflies) but you stay away from those sticks please. Its ok for some to use them, but when they ruin your PMA, they are evil sticks, and besides I tested at 6dp5dt with a FRER and it was neg - and I almost gave up and moped around thinking it didnt work, but what do you know? at 8dp5dt my beta was 65, so I got another FRER - and the damn thing was still neg! it took until 11dp5dt for the flipping FRER to finally show that 2nd line - argh! my point was (sorry lost it for a minute) you watch tennis and try to relax after the horrendous schedule you've been working and as hard as it is to endure the endless wait - dont you feel down, ok? I'm going to dig up that embie chart so you'll see how early you are to POAS.
I've got everything crossed for you and you've got loads of girls pulling for you and stalking you too  So you just focus on all that positive energy and get through the long wait, ok? much love - xoxo
