sdtrying- Your retrieval is coming up quickly! So exciting to have someone starting sooner than later...even though I feel like I will never get there.

deftonesmo- Hopefully you get some good news at the US today. Keep us posted on how it goes.

trying4second- welcome to the group and best of luck with this cycle. Sounds like you had a difficult road to have your daughter and hopefully baby #2 is a lot easier this time around. Good luck with the stims.

Shaymama- Welcome to the group! I hope that this is the only cycle you have to go through. Stinks that your OB missed the PCOS on your test results, but the fact that your insurance covers IVF is beyond great!! Which stims are you on for this cycle?

mrs.o.gomez- I think like Bliss said it just depends on the person. I did experience some headaches with the lupron...but I have headaches normally which puts me at a higher risk. I dont know if you are going to be on any estrogen, but once they had me on higher doses of estrogen I had bad nausea to the point that I couldnt eat. Hopefully you have an smooth cycle with no side effects!! Best of luck.

blissful- Im seriously considering asking the acupuncturist if she can bring on AF when I go wednesday. Even though I know I should be patient and let my body decide when we get to start this cycle...Ive had enough at this point. After 2 1/2 years with my body not doing what I want it to I feel like its time. When do you start everything?

Jenmink- AF come to visit you yet? Hoping you had a more successful wknd than I did. If not I guess we really may be on a similar schedule again this cycle.

AFM- Still just waiting on AF. My body and I are hating each other right now. Even though I was a little crampy and moody all weekend....still nothing. I went and picked up the prescription for Prometrium that the MD called in last week, but am still scared to start it just in case I was going to start soon. As much as I tell myself to be patient....I feel like im about to lose it. Need to get this show on the road for my sanitys sake.

Blairwh58- So excited! If all goes well tomorrow with my first ultrasound and blood draw I will start my stims at 7pm tomorrow!. I am doing Menapur, bravelle and lupron for the stims. I also started on 1mg dexamethasone today. I have been having a lot of cramping since starting the lupron. Does anyone know why I would be cramping? I hope it is not a bad sign. My insurance is covering 75% and I get a life max of 2 attempts. We are very lucky.

I'm new to this site. I'm suppose to start stims this week. If not, I'll be starting at the end of this month. Happy to join in the "fun".
Can anyone tell me where to find a list for all the standard abbreviations you all use?

Trying4secondwe are all in this together! What we are experiencing is emotionally and physically taxing regardless of whether or not we have had success in the past. I for one am inspired by the current Moms on the board, it gives me hope. I ultimately want 2 and would think that even though you are thankful for you first, the desire for a sibling for you other child would be very strong. Welcome back!

Blair- AF isn't due for me until 2/16 so I'm anxiously waiting too. If I retrieve on day 14 it will be my birthday (3/1) What a nice gift a lot of healthy eggs will be!

One question ladies, how do you decide how many embryos to transfer, does the chances of success increase/decrease with two?
I'm in Aus so I'm wondering if they'll allow a two embryo transfer

kyleen81- Most of the time the RE will suggest how many you should transfer. At the clinic we went to for the first 3 IVFs...he said since I was so young (25) that we should only transfer 2 with the fresh because they were such quality embryos. Then that didnt work so with both frozen cycles we transferred 3 embryos. I got pregnant on the last one and ended up miscarrying. With the new RE he said at the consult that he wanted to transfer 2, but when I suggested 3 he said we would have to wait and see quality (Im not going to give up on this fight though). Good luck with the decision but I think age, embryo quality...etc all factor into it.

Bliss- Still no AF though i had some severe cramping and back pain yesterday...hoping both are a good sign. Sounds like you will be doing the retrieval a week and a half or so before me.

crissy- Welcome to the board. Everyone here is a wealth of information and always willing to answer any questions.

shaymama- Cannot wait to hear how the US went today!! Keep us posted. Fingers are crossed that you get to start stims tonight!

AFM- I was thinking that since the boards are heating up we should start a list to keep track of where everyone is in their cycle. I dont know how to do the fun tickers that a lot of boards use but I am willing to try and keep track if no one else wants to. I guess everyone can just send me a message with where you are in the cycle, tentative ER/ET date...etc.

I am still waiting for AF....Ive never wanted to see her so badly which is pathetic. Hopefully the cramps and backpain I had yday are a good sign though. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for me. I am ready to get this cycle started.

Well ladies the US went great! I have 9 follicles on the left and 7 on the right! I start stims tomorrow night!So freakin excited!! I figured out why I was cramping! No one told me good ol AF would come on day 1! I completely freaked out last night when she came and thought the whole thing would have to be post-poned.

Hi all! I'm sooo ready. Very excited, but nervous too. As for where I'm at, I'm on BCP right now. I start Lupron on Saturday 2/5. We're doing FET so no stims. Lining u/s is 3/4 and if everything goes as planned, ET is 3/11.

On a side note, when I called my clinic to pay up for the cycle, they informed me that my insurance will pay for the FET and also my meds!!! Yeah! First time we've had coverage for anything.

mamaboo - YEY for insurance. insurance and be and godsend even though they can be a pita to deal with. I would have been done 2 yrs ago if it wasn't for insurance. now I am out but I am still thankful that i got to try several cycles with my own eggs without going totally broke.

shamama - Glad you get to start stims. sending lots of growing follies vibes.
