I am so glad to hear IVF has worked! I have been so worried. I start treatment tomorrow for my first and I hope only IVF. I tried IUI once and it didn't work. So worried about it really. Any advice? I'm going to take two weeks off from work when they start the procedure. My husband and I want a child so badly.
Ok Jen... Dancing for you!!! This time I just came from ZUMBA so instead of the cabbage patch I'm doing a shoulder and hip shimmy while waving my spirit fingers and saying to the fertility gods... LET THE GOOD TIMES FLOW!
Blair- I have been so tempted to offer to track everyones schedule but I just can't. I have 14 employee reviews to write and then travel allover Michigan to deliver prior to ER around 3/1!!! I am so glad you are doing it though, it will be very nice to keep up with everyone. I will try to assist if you need a break at any point, just let me know.
For those who are curious, I have always transferred 2. I was tempted to go to 3 on my FET but my RE said that they had 9 percent of their multiple transfers result in triplets. Wow! Twins I could survive...triplets? Hmmmm not sure. This time I am hoping we get good blasts and if so I will transfer 2. The first time around we did 2 day transfers, and I think that makes a big difference in the decision too. Naturally the more developed five day embryos have a higher implantation rate. There are a lot of things to consider and it's a very tough choice.

May 1st BFP!!!! Due Jan. 6th 2012
started injections on Sunday for my 2nd and final FET attempt. I had a successful Fresh cycle and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy a year ago.
It has been 4 months since my 1st failed FET and it seems like my ovarian reserve is going down very rapidly. So this is it for us. While I feel blessed having even one baby, it doesn't make the journey second time any easier...
I am trying to have a positive outlook though and hoping for the best.
Looking forward to sharing this journey with the rest of the ladies in this group.
I wish each and every one of you the best of luck!
Nancy

Not sure if Im doing the right thing or replying to the right thing, in fact I dont even know how to use forums like this but Im keen to learn.
Im going through my first IVF cycle now and dont know much about what to expect or how I should be feeling. Im due for egg collection in March but I know lots could happen, or not happen before then so trying to keep an open mind.
Let me know if Im on the right track by being here and I can tell you a bit more about me and my journey
Hi SD - i am just a few days behind you. today is my day 8 of stimms and my ER is most likely next Thursday. My doc also tells me i have 2 groups of follies - a few that's over 10 and a bunch that's under 10 still. He says i am developing in a simialr manner to my previous fresh IVF cycle. I havent really asked for my numbers this time around - frankly i do better when I keep myself on a "need to know" basis. I let my doc and my embryologist do the worrying. When do they estimating your ER to take place?

SDTrying/LYD10- how many of your fertilized eggs actually made it to blast stage with your first cycles? SD- I am nervous because my doc doesn't like going to blast. My embryologist is a naturalist who believes the body is where they belong. However, I want to try going to blast this time and they are doing it. They are going to only try to take 4 to blast and freeze the rest at day 2. They say that embryos freeze better before they get to blast (and the research I have seen supports it) When I see you responding so well to the stims in the past but getting excited about getting three to blast it worries me. I am afraid I may not be taking enough to blast and may miss the opportunity to transfer a fresh embryo at any stage! Thoughts?
Update- found a very cerebral but good article on the subject of 3 day versus 5 day transfer that helped. Looks like about 50% make it to blast. Still curious if that is what others have experienced. The article has me just as confused as ever though. So many alternatives. Glad my RE is willing to work with me so much though and didn't just put the smack down on the blast idea.
