HI ladies,

Sorry, wasn't able to get on yesterday with a report. ET was yesterday, transferred 2 embies. One perfect one and one not far behind. The other three did not develop well and fragmented...so no freezies  I have to say the ET was the strangest experience. They told me to make sure my bladder was full when I came in and I drank 2 bottles of water. Well, got there and they said it was not full enough, so they made me drink 4 more cups. OMG, I thought I was going to burst. Then, the nurses can't find my uterus on the u/s. Hello? Isn't it kinda hard to lose??

So, finally, after waiting for 1/2 hour past my scheduled time, the RE bursts in with 3 different nurses and this small door that's cut out in the wall pops open and 2 embryologists are hanging out of it from the lab. It felt like an alien invasion. The RE started off by telling me he was disappointed with the development since day 3. The one developed perfectly, one not far behind, but the others were way too fragmented. I didn't like the vibe he started the transfer with. It felt rushed and I felt invaded by all these people. So, the RE finally locates my uterus on the u/s and the procedure begins. I don't know if it was b/c my bladder was over-full or what, but I was super umcomfortable and had some pain. He had to keep pressing on my bladder to visualize where the uterus was and my ovary kept getting in the way. Then, all the sudden it's over and the posse clears out but I have to lay there for 40 mins with the super full bladder. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper. Then, my time is up and my nurse (who was supposed to come back and take me to the restroom) disappears. So, I had to redress to be able to go out and search for a bathroom myself. I was not overly impressed with this part of the whole process. I don't know, maybe I'm being overly sensitivie, but it was strange and felt like it was happening to someone else.

So, I'm trying to keep the PMA and forget about the weird experience. My pregnancy test is scheduled for Valentine's Day! I'm keeping all my parts crossed until then.

Leora - sorry to hear about your job! But glad everything is going well with your cycle so far!

Lou - Thinking about you and the positive result you are going to get tomorrow!

That's all for now. Gotta get prepared to go back to work tomorrow (ugh). TGIF! Baby dust to all...

We are using Dr. Andrew Harper in Huntsville. We did go talk to other group that is out of Birmingham after the 2nd failed IVF, but they said they would do exactly what our RE was doing. We decide to stay with Dr. Harper bc we like him and if they would do the same why change?

Ashley...those embies are beautiful! Congrats!!!

Ryann...thanks for checking in on me. We only got 5. How are you doing?

Lou...Good Luck tomorrow!! I've got a great feeling for you...praying hard! I am betting the nausea is a great sign for you! Glad to hear your roads are better now...I was thinking about you.

Darlene...I'm sorry that the cycle was so difficult for you and AF, too. It is hard, but if it makes you feel any better, each cycle does get easier. I supposed just knowing what to expect and what to do is half the battle. Good Luck with your appt and decision.

Carol...How cool is that...promoting organ donation. I am big on organ donation as well.

Anton...Yayyy for AF...I hope it is here now! So interesting about the gene.

Leora...Oh no!!! I am sooo sorry about being laid off. Hopefully something good will come out of it...I hope so anyways. Cool on the solar stuff. Good Luck with the social worker stuff...no good advice here...hopefully someone here does though. Do you think that you will always live in Israel...or may move back someday? Israel sounds wonderful.

Kristin...Awesome beta numbers!! I am sooo happy for you!

Nwquiz...You're right...knowing when to hang up the syringes is hard. I keep thinking...what if. I hate it.

Margi...I hope your labs made it. That's crazy! I'm sure the weather has everything to do with it though. I had to call for them Tuesday to send me my PIO (they were making me wait for some reason)...and they said that they were told to do no shipping on Tues and Wed...but could send it overnight on Thursday for Friday delivery...and I start it Friday. Nothing like cutting it close. What if I had needed it today?!

Lauren...Sooo praying for good news for you, too. Cant wait to hear all about your BFP. Did you POAS yet?

Rio...Thanks for checking in on me. It wasnt good. We got 5. How are you feeling?

LYD10...So cool that you could translate that message...I was dying of curiousity. lol How are the follies doing?

To all stimming girls...how are the SnS's going?

Samantha and LYD10...Update us tomorrow after your SnS.

Tiger...How are you doing? When are you POAS?

Chris, Ronda, Gi, Hazel, Rio, Ryann, Sonya, and all...Thanks for checking in on me/us...it means alot.

Sherry...So glad to hear that everything went great! 21 is fantastic...and I am jealous. I normally have easy ER's with no pain...but not today. Cant wait to hear your fert report tomorrow.

Amanda M...Good Luck tomorrow! I have everything crossed for you and am praying hard!

Amanda1979...I love the pics of your babies! They're sooo cute! lol Yes, the bottom left one looks awesome...but they all look good. Congrats!

Kimber...Yayy for transferring 2! Sorry you have none left to freeze. I hate ET and drinking all that water. It is sooo hard on me, too. I have a very small bladder and no control. lol It is a strange process. Hoping and prayer for a great Valentines Day surprise for you.

For anyone I missed, praying for BFP's for us all.

AFM: After the doc comes in and tells me how great things look and how pleased my regular doc and he are....the anesthesiologist came in and ended up making me get a spinal rather than twilight sedation. They claim between my Gerd and my low O2 sat levels I sometimes get with "general"...they weren't comfortable with doing twilight. I explained that I have 0 issues with twilight and wake right up and have had 4 twilights last Fall and no issues. So the spinal forced me to be there for 9 hrs unable to move or pee. I ended up in L&D waiting it all out. This new hospital sucks big time. I am pissed to say the least. And, they only got 5 eggs...when we fuly expected 7-9. I'm in wayyyy more pain tonight than I have ever been. I have been known to go to a costume contest from 2-4 and trick or treating for 2 hrs after that...the same day as my other ER's. Today, I can barely move. Praying so hard that we have at least 4 to transfer on Sunday.

Sherry: 21 is amazing!!! You egg making machine. Make sure to drink some gatorade and rest. Let us know how your fret report comes in.

AmandaM: Ohhhh! So exciting!! Tomorrow is your beta...Image

Sunshine12: Thanks, I try to keep things light! And thanks for your offer to call my lab. Really!! How ridiculous!!

Amanda1979: Beautiful embies!!

Kimber: Sorry ET wasn’t so magical. Yeah--the whole thing can be kinda strange and surreal. Maybe a clown would’ve helped? LOL. Did you see Amanda79’s post? (on page 76). Hysterical. Rest up...as those embies snuggle in to mamma!

Tammy: Oh my. So sorry for the spinal. I never heard of someone needing to do that. That recovery sounds unpleasant..take extra good care of yourself then. 4 to transfer on Sunday sounds like a great plan...I will hope and pray for you and for those little ones to divide nicely.

Lou: One more well wish to you my friend...Image

AFM: OK!! After calling the lab this morning and being reassured they would send to CA and my OBGYN this morning, call this evening from my OBGYN, says they haven’t gotten anything except my STD (negative) reports. REALLY!? Are they kiddin me? The STAT labs haven’t arrived 3 days after they were drawn but the STD ones that were supposed to be sent standard were?! Ok--so I call the lab and pitch a fit with 3 different ladies...one of whom said, “are you the one that had to come back on Monday? I know about your situation.” (What on earth?!? I didn’t realize how crazy and bizarre it is apparently to try to get these seemingly simple labs done.) Then, while I am on the phone with the 3rd woman, my OBGYN nurse calls me back (now it is 5:30 pm) to tell me that just as she was faxing my STD labs, the other ones came in on the machine. Hm. While I have been fussing with the lab was someone CYA? Anyway....she got them. :D She now sent to CA. CA nurse says they need doc to review before she can send me my protocol. Sigh. One more day to wait. But I am CLOSER!!! And--I asked my OBGYN nurse my numbers--although I forgot to ask about LH. FSH was 7.5 TSH was 1.32, and E2=43.6. I think everything looks ok? I will feel so much better when I have my protocol, but I am glad they have what they need--finally!

Amanda1979- Beautiful Embryos many blessings your way!

Sunshine.12- I did the laproscopy in March of 2010 and my doctor thought it was just a mild case if any at all but wanted to be sure and so did my husband and I before we made the big investment with this IVF cycle. I ended up having stage three endo which was way more than what he thought so we are super glad we had that done last year to give us the best possible odds if there is such a thing I don't believe in chance or luck everything happens for a reason! Do you have it as well?

Blessings to all, Lord please Bless Lou and I with our BFP's tomorrow and anyone else going for Beta's!

Tammy - so sorry to hear your experience was so negative! I also have Gerd. why would they not do twilight sedation for you because of Gerd? i dont see what one has to do with another - did they explain?
