Had to crash for Amanda....I don't know if you were following the boards in December, but I rode the HPT rollercoaster...a + on a digital, followed by THREE negatives, then a whole bunch of positives. I actually found my afternoon was the best time to POAS and get a +...don't lost hope!!!!

wannabeamum --Follies grow 1-3 mm per day. The Cetrotide will slow them down though. I think if your largest is 12 mm, then you have 4-5 days left possibly. They should trigger you with HCG when you have 3 follies above 17mm and your estrogen is 1000-3000. I think you're doing fine! Please don't worry too much.

Anton -- Extra baby dust on it's way to you! Believe it can happen and don't give up!

Leora -- I think my beta is high because of early implantation. I felt it at 5-6 dpo whereas last time when my first beta was 136, I felt it at 7-9 dpo. 2/22 feels like an eternity away...lol. As for your social worker visit. Don't let them scare you! I'm sure you have a load of compassion for children of abused or severely dysfunctional families given your history. Just think, you may have the chance to save someone from that and give them the life they otherwise would only be able to dream of. And having a crappy life and being abused does NOT mean you will grow into a dysfunctional adult. I know tons of people and have heard of celebrities who have turned out just fine. I'm sorry your follies are slow growing this time around but don't give up yet! If your E2 is 900 already, then something is definitely happening in there. My clinic doesn't start Ganirelix until the lead follie is 14 mm. I think you'll be ok! Raising your dose of menopur will help. Heck, it took 450 of follistim PLUS 150 menopur to get my little buggers to grow.

CJ -- I'm so sorry your cycle isn't going well. Will you try again next month with a different protocol?

Tiger -- I'm praying for your BFP tomorrow.

AFM -- Not much to report. Just cheering on my girls! :D

Hi ladies,

2ww is torture! No update here but I have a stupid question. When injecting the POI, do you guys use an 18 gauge or 22 needle? They gave me a bunch of each and more tips for 22. I have been drawing it up with the 22 but injecting with 22 tips. Just wondering if anyone injects with the 18 and if it hurts a lot more? It just seems so much wider and I'm nervous. But it takes forever to get the oil thru the 22 and it's tough when doing myself. Just thought I'd ask...

Leora - hang in there. I think your next appt will be much better. Growth spurt!! :D

Kimber ---- OMG... don't inject with the 18 G!!!!! Use that one to draw up the PIO THEN CHANGE the needle to the 22 G to inject the PIO. The oil is thick so it's easier to draw up with the larger needle and then by using a fresh 22 G needle to inject it will be super sharp and hurt less. Believe it or not, but just puncturing the rubber stopper dulls the needle a bit. Hang in there. I know the wait stinks.

Tiger and Lauren... praying for bfps for you ladies tomorrow!

Lou... I'm not sure what I am going to do. At this point I think my only option for continuing is to go a full injectables cycle and he said I would be starting with at least 200iu a day and may bump up. So if I am going to do this next cycle, I need to start "collecting" follistim / gonal f again over the next 2 weeks. At least I didn't wast money on the IUI. I am hoping by doing that I can trigger and do IUI (with at least 3-4 follies) by CD12. I really wish he had done that this cycle... I'm so pissed about the clomid. I hate when I tell these doctors that I don't think their protocol will work , and they don't believe me - then when it doesn't work I never get a "you were right" its just "we'll try that next cycle".... like I have ALL the time in the WORLD! I'm a ticking fertility time bomb here docs. :x Lets do this NOW! I really didn't want to do another cycle, but looks like its our best chance. If after that - no baby - I really think DE IVF is my only option - which wouldn't be for several months. So thats where we stand  It really upsets me, but I feel like I am finally coming to a closure of this 3 year journey. That in itself is a relief to be able to move on.

Amanda79: Glad to hear you didn't have any effects from the Lupron. That is encouraging for me! I go to Cali the 24th of February and will stay for 10 days. DH will be with me for 6 days. After 8/9 days of stim. I think you should suggest DH start a DH club!

Anton: LOL I totally hear you on feeling like an "addict". I too am very excited to start sticking myself. Let's get this IVF show on the road!!

SD: "I! I! I!" I always like to test my trigger out...watch it fade out...and then watch that true BFP come through!!!!

Leora: I think your slow start will be ok. Listen to your RE...they are increasing your meds, and as Lou said, your E2 is increasing so something is happening. Hoping for a great burst at next SnS. All my thoughts are with you. GROW FOLLIES GROWS!!!!

Jeib: 8 days to beta!!!! Hang in there!!!! You are PUPO :-)

Carol: So sorry for results of SnS. Will pray for a miracle from BD...have you discussed what protocol you will follow for next cycle? Hoping you won't need it, but for me, looking a step ahead helps.

Sunshine: I am praying for your embies!!! Keep us updated regarding your ET--whether tomorrow or Friday. :D

AFM: Not much to report. Still waiting to hear back from insurance company about my Lupron. I guess I will be getting it one way or another...really hope that I don't have to pay out of pocket. Tomorrow I go to my OBGYN for check--I guess to get the green light? Here I go!!! :D

Thanks Margi. I'm trying to stay positive, but just can't see to find anything positive in this. I talked to DH last night and explained my frustration with our current clinic. Thinking about switching. Wondering if I should have an HSG done. I haven't really been tested for anything since we discovered first thing that it was male infertility. Now I'm wondering if I should be tested. Especially since I'm doing IUI, if there is a tube blocked or something, would be good to know. Thoughts on this?

Carol - I'm so very sorry to hear about how long and hard this journey has been and can empathize with the stupid doctors. They INSIST that they know your body better than you do, but they don't. Sersiously. I hope that you find peace with your journey and wish you the best of luck with your potential donor egg cycle. Lots of love to you.

Tiger - I think further testing is a good idea. The IUI with DS should work and I hope that you still get your BFP and you don't need more testing!!!

tiger- HSG was the first test i did when i started my IVF journey in 2005 and in 2010. Don't know why they wouldn't use that as a tool to see what you're situation is. i definately think you should switch clinics!

Tiger - Good luck tomorrow! Are you on suppositories? I stopped using them after Sunday. My AF is actually not bad, but I know it's a negative. I will be going tomorrow for confirmation though. Good luck tomorrow! I hope it's a BFP for you!!!

I still need my WTF appt. The secretary called me today and asked if I want to go tomorrow after 5. Do I want to drive into Boston after 5? Um no! I have to wait until next Wednesday (my day off). He has openings sooner, but I don't feel like missing more work. I asked if they can send prior approval tomorrow after my bfn, bit they said they can not until I see RE next Wed. Whatever I know the drill...start birth control tomorrow and take it a couple of weeks then stop and get AF and start again.

Hi Ladies :)

Margi- I did Lupron last cycle and again this cycle I don remember having any side effects... I believe it was the follistim that gave me bad headaches... I will be on Lupron fora month since they are going around my work schedule and then start other meds 1st week in march... Best of luck in Cali :) Glad you found a hotel with medical rates :)

Keri- 17 eggs is awesome Congrats

lou- Nice sticks, Congrats on Great 2nd Beta I am so happy for you!!!

Samantha- Stay positive I know how hard this journey is but we are all here for you... :) I would ask to talk to your Dr if you have alot of questions, thats what you pay for... I write things down as I think of a question or concerns and then go in with a notebook.. My first cycle I was clueless and this cycle I have learned from all of the great ladies on this board... Is there something you are concerned with? IF so let us know and maybe we can help with questions you can ask... :)

Sunshine12- 6 eggs is great news, it only takes one good one :)

SDtrying#2- It only takes One good egg :) Stay postive :)

Lee- Welcome :)

Qita71- I am so sorry ( big hug)

trusting- Best of luck in Germany, that will be awesome if the rates are better there for you :)

Meinemo- Congrats :)

Leora- So sorry that the Social worker made you feel that way about adoption... You could end of with a great child through adoption, I would talk to someone else about it... Ill be praying that things work out for you... (hugs)

AFM- I am on day 3 of Lupron, I am sure this month will go slow since I am on it till March, but whatever it takes to get me pregnant :) I think I am going to ask about having 3 transferred this time if I get that many good eggs... I am so pumped up for this cycle... :)

BABY DUST to everyone :)
