hi all.. lou, so glad your FIL is doing better.. as for exercise, theoretically it's ok as long as it's not strenuous.. i remember from my last pregnancy my obgyn telling me not to get my heartrate above 140.. i'd be a little concerned when doing twisting/turning things like tennis, as you are twisting your uterus around- my ob told me not to play tennis when pg with my son, or anything where you could take a bad fall possibly (like mountain biking- my other love).. i was also instructed last time to not exert myself with weights- to go quite low with a focus on maintaining, not building muscle. stationary bike at 60% sounds great (watch your hb).. and i think things like the elliptical/ light jog on the treadmill would be ok..
here's the rule i use: if i do "IT" and something bad happens- am i going to blame myself and doing "IT" on the bad thing happening?? if so, then it don't do 'it'. i know that some women do ridiculous things and their pregnancies turn out jsut fine.. but again, given the boat we are all in- are 'we' those women? last time, once i made it through the first tri, at about 16 wks, i started exercising regularly again, but on a light regimine.. then frankly, i got too tired to continue it.
maybe some of the advice i got last time was colored by the fact that i'd bled at wk 9 quite severely, and spotted til wk 13 (had a sub chorionic hematoma).. but of course, you need to do what's right for you
krcaja- those pulling sensations are normal.. actually you should find them reassurring if anything. and the normal hb range is from 100-180.. it's quite broad. one u/s tech told me 120-180, but my obgyn insisted it's broader than that at 100-180. my experience with this pregnancy and with my son, is that at 7wks, it's around 120, and then tends to go up and then stablize at 150/160
hi to everyone else. all is the same for me. i'm obsessed with worrying about m/c. and as lou said, my last one too, was so painful, that i'm haunted by it and quite fearful now. i wish i could buy an u/s machine!!
38 yrs. DOR, TTC since '04, recommended DE but didn't listen
3 IVF's & 1 FET: 1 cancellation, 1 m/c @ 12 wks, 1 chemical,
1 miracle boy & miracle 'natural' PG right now while waiting to cycle (WTF?)
